These are a few of my favorite things - makeup

You know when you find those things that you just want to tell all of your friends about because you know they've made your life better and you just want to shout it to the world? That's what this and my future "favorite things" blogs are all about! :)

I'm going to start writing a "favorite things" series where I'll pick different categories and tell you my ABSOLUTE favorites in each.

MAKEUP

I like all of the makeup I have, but these 3 items are what I would save in a fire ;)

Eyeliner

If you didn't already know this, now you will, purple is an awesome color to bring out brown eyes. With that being said, my favorite eyeliner is....

This amazing little eyeliner is easy and smooth to put on, it lasts all day, it sharpens nicely, lasts a long time, and is just great. :) I love it.

Mascara

This is a two part deal, but you need both to create the right look...

If you want your lashes to have that bink bink quality, then this is the way to get it! I've been using this stuff for years (with other types mixed in here and there). I always get the most compliments when I'm wearing this stuff. It's freakin' awesome!

Lip Gloss

My favorite lip gloss is truly worthy of its name:

Now I don't need/want the plumping factor, but this lip gloss can make small lips look bigger (more "plump" if you will) while making bigger lips just look nice (not bigger). :) It wasn't a planned purchase (I got suckered into it whilst buying my mascara) but it has become one of my makeup must-haves!



Now I know that I sound like a Clinique commercial, but these really are my 3 favorite makeup items. I can't help it that Clinique makes such great makeup! ;)

A Kind Deed

So it snowed pretty hard last week here in good ol' CO. I happened to be at work when it hit. The good news is we were able to get our closing duties done early, the bad news is I spent the rest of the time that I would have been working digging my car out of the snow. :)

There were two kind deeds that people did for me during this snow storm that I would like to take a moment to recognize.

1. My co-worker was genuinely concerned about my well being and texted me when he got home to re-emphasize to be careful on the slick roads. It's nice knowing you have friends at work.

2. The next day was actually the worst part of the storm for me. I was heading to work and got stuck in the street right outside my driveway. I had already spent about 20 minutes trying to get my car un-stuck, but to no avail. Then the fed-ex lady drove by and asked me if I needed help. She was very kind and helped me get my car in a position where I could actually get into the street and off to work. Thanks fed-ex lady!

It always gives me warm fuzzies when people are so nice. I have no idea who that fed-ex lady was, but to show my appreciation for the kindness of strangers I have posted this post. :)

a new blog

I decided that I want a blog where I can post random facts, thoughts, information, etc. This is just a blog for me to write my opinions on things and to just have some fun. I hope those of you who read it will find it useful or enjoyable. :)
