days at home

so yesterday  morning, around 8am, i decided it was time to potty train kamdyn.  i have been terrified of this so i just decided to bite the bullet and go for it.  SO.  we have been home-bound and plan to be at least through tomorrow.  i must say i do have a bit of cabin fever, but at least i got to go to the gym this morning.  so in the mornings we have been spending some time outside on the swing set before it gets too hot.  (swing set project post to follow).  i had to take this picture of kyler (with my iphone) b/c this is how she always ends up in her swing.  no  matter how excited she is to get in there and start swinging, in less than a few minutes she is lounged out and sucking that thumb.  it cracks me up.  kamdyn keeps telling me to put her legs down, "kyler, legs down."  but when i do they just pop back up.  they are also always like this in the stroller and high chairs, etc.  she is a limber little thing!  the second pic just cracked me up b/c this is all i could see for a while yesterday.  she insisted on putting the potty in her tent.  which was fine with me, as long as she used it!  she needed a puzzle too.  that was a good potty activity for about 2o minutes.  ;)  

spwink-a-lers

nothin' like good old fashioned fun!  kamdyn had a blast playing in the sprinklers at lexi & savannah's house this weekend.  she also enjoyed jumping on the trampoline with the sprinklers shooting up through it.  kyler was happy just crawling around in the grass and even on the pavement.  at one point i did find her completely under the trampoline, in all the mud.  i wish i had a picture of that.  and if you think these swimsuits are cute, wait til you see the cover ups.  okay, okay - i'll post a picture below.

first pony and perfect piggies

kyler's hair has def been getting thicker and a little longer and i normally just clip a bow over to one side.  she kinda goes crazy when anything is on her head so i wasn't sure how it would work.  but it was time to try the actual ponytail for the first time!  i think it was cute and a nice change.  zack thought she looked weird.  :)  kamdyn had pigtails at 6 months old and we have gone through many different stages with them.  here's how those piggies are looking these days - so curled and perfect.  i can't tell you how many people comment on them when we are out in public!  she has also been very into wearing bows again so i am all for that!!!

lovin' the doggies

i think the dogs are half in shock and half over the moon that we have been outside so much since it's been warm.  they have actually been getting some attention and even a play-mate every now and then.  :)  i can't remember why kamdyn started hugging on them the other day and then proceeded to climb on maddie's back, but they did not seem to mind.  and yes - that would be kyler crawling in the last picture.  that's right - she is now crawling.  10 months.  maybe she'll start getting some teeth next.  :)

holy snowcone, kamdyn

last weekend our friends invited us to go to the snowcone lady.  we have been wanting to get a snowcone from this place since last year but we never did so this was the perfect opportunity.  as you can see, kamdyn thoroughly enjoyed her snowcone and can't wait to go back.  and believe it or not - the shorts are white again with no sign of snowcone.  :)

doesn't brynn look so sweet and innocent in these pictures?  she is so clean - even with a GRAPE snowcone!  the funniest thing is that kamdyn & brynn normally rival one another when it comes to eating.  it is always entertaining.

kyler was so good in her stroller.  i just stuffed her face with puffs, as usual.  what a sweetie.  as you can see below, the snowcone lady is quite popular.  this was the line at like 3pm when we were there.  it's crazy!
