christmas day

we spent christmas day at annie's house (zack's mom).  we had such a great time, as always!  kamdyn loved helping pass out the gifts and wanted to play with all her new stuff and all of kyler's new stuff!

annie got kamdyn her very own chapstick...boy did she love it!

lara & chris got her a cute little horsey.  she immediately put it on the ground and tried to ride it!  it was pretty cute and funny!

chris & lara got a few gifts for their baby girl, who is due in may!

it was so nice out we spent some time swinging on the front porch and hanging out in the front yard.  you gotta love christmas time in texas!

this is what a day of christmas festivities will do to you!  lara said her baby was moving around a lot when kyler was laying on her belly.  i think they are already bonding!

hopefully she can take this lawn mower out and mow with daddy from now on.  that would help me out a lot.  :)  thanks to shanna for posting about this on her blog a few months ago - what a great idea!

christmas eve

we had a great day on christmas eve!  we spent the day as a family and then went to the christmas eve service at our church and then to dinner.  we were planning to make cookies for santa and open a gift but by the time we got home it was well past time for the girls to get to bed!  we will plan better next year.  but it was still a great day!  i love starting traditions within our own little family.  also - i swear kyler does not always look scared.  just in pictures.  she doesn't have this look in person!  but it seems like every picture we have of her she looks scared!  oh well - she's still cute.  :)

great weekend!

we had such a nice, relaxing weekend!  it seems like it's been a REALLY long time since we have been able to just sit around and not have any place to be.  it was so great!  we spent a lot of time in our pajamas, as you can see.  sometimes it's just the little things that make us so thankful for this family of ours!

kyler is so happy just laying on this blanket, playing with a crunchy book.  she always has her feet up now (probably because her pajamas are too small for that long body of hers and she can't straighten them!)  but seriously - i love that she plays with her feet so much.  i've gotta get a picture of it!  it's really cute.

we got this magazine in the mail last week and kamdyn loves it!  it was so funny she kept wanting us to read it to her.  i remember these from when i was a kid.

kamdyn has been loving this little bunny all weekend.  she has had it since she was born but never noticed it until i gave it to kyler to play with.  go figure!  and do you see why her hair is up 99% of the time?!

yes - kyler is officially a thumb sucker!  we can't believe it.  we try to shove the paci in her mouth all the time and she just does not care.  but she has been doing this for the past couple of weeks.  kamdyn is still obsessed with her own paci's and any time kyler cries, kamdyn says "paci!"  but to no avail.  it is kinda cute now but i know we'll be hating it in a couple of years!  hey, at least we won't have to get up in the middle of the night to give her a paci, right?!

not sure how i scored this, but last night zack decided to make egg burritos for dinner and kamdyn wanted to help...which turned into a silverware drawer disaster...but she kept busy!  and kyler was content just watching them.  i love it!

happy birthday, Jesus

kamdyn's class had their "happy birthday Jesus" party at school on thursday.  as always you can see her enjoying her cookie.  :)  i probably should not have made an appearance in front of the camera with the world's largest fever blister on my face, but there i am.  and i guess she and isabel wanted to watch themselves eat in front of that mirror.  they are funny together - before the cookies came out they were spinning around and 'round, making themselves dizzy.  ms. lydia said that the two of them do that on a daily basis!

zack took this picture with his phone on saturday during nap time. this girl cracks us up. she is always in a different position all over her crib. i don't know how we're going to move her to a big girl bed....she is everywhere! it's been a while since she was through the slats but she managed to somehow get both legs through and then rest her foot on this ball. how funny is that?!

it started out cold today but by the time school was out it felt pretty good outside!  it was still in the 50's, i think.  but it was not windy and the sun was out.  so we met isabel at the park to play!  these girls have so much fun together and they crack us up (and each other)!

bad, bad blogger

i realize these pictures are really lame - but i really need to update this blog!  i have been so bad lately - sorry!!!  things are going pretty good around this joint.  we are all starting to feel better, just a couple of runny noses...but who doesn't have that right now?!

we had kyler's 4 month appt last week and she is SO LONG!  we knew this, but the doctor was really surprised at how far off the charts she is for height!  she is so far over 100% - it's funny!  she is seriously so tall.  i swear her feet are practically hitting my knees when i have her in the bjorn!  she is such a different baby than kamdyn was.  i can't even hold her the same way i would always hold kamdyn.  i always say kyler is a "two-handed baby" and kamdyn was always a "one-handed baby."  of course, now kamdyn is a handful or probably two handfuls!  she is cracking us up, as always.  she is saying "mama" 24/7 now and i love it!  it took her FOREVER to say mama or mommy or anything like that.  but now she says it after everything she says.  it's so cute.  she just started it this past week or so.  most of what she says is jibberish but she says it after words too.  like "home, mama."  or "blahmesobuno, mama."  it's so cute!  she is also saying "kyler" pretty good.  her teacher told me that she has said her name clearly a time or two, but i have not heard that yet.  

i finally got around to taking the girls pictures for our christmas cards so after i get them all sent out i'll post a couple.  it was so fun, and thankfully the weather was nice this weekend!

i guess this post was pretty random, but it has been too long!  maybe the next one will be much more interesting!
