trick or treat

wow. all i can say is that trick or treating is so different these days. i definitely saw a sign of the times tonight. while kamdyn did not enjoy her CUTE caterpillar costume (i think it's too hot for her) i saw some very interesting things.

1) a girl at my door, trying to hold her candy bag open with one hand while talking on her cell phone in the other hand. no "trick or treat." no "thank you."
2) a little boy w/ a candy bag that talked for him. he pushed a button that said, "trick or treat." then i put candy in his bag. then he pushed a button that said, "thank you."

i leave you with the not so happy but VERY cute caterpillar.

dallas arboretum

the weather was so beautiful on saturday so we did not want to be inside! we headed down to the arboretum to check out some good photo spots and ended up getting some really cute shots of kamdyn. we did not plan on taking all these pictures but there are so many good ones! here are some of my faves.

fall festival

we made a short (but VERY cute) appearance at the fall festival at our church on friday night. there were so many cute kids dressed up for halloween. kamdyn is obviously a little young to enjoy the festivities but i was dying to put her in this adorable costume! isn't she the cutest little caterpillar you ever did see?! i am not kidding when i say that strangers came up and asked to take her picture b/c she was so cute! i hope you have seen the movie "the christmas story" because she reminded me of the little boy who was so bundled up he couldn't move. it was hilarious.

fun new toys!

yesterday we got to go over to the waters home and play in elyse's play room...kamdyn loved this ball pit! we also loved meeting baby garrett, who is three weeks old and so cute and sweet!

cheerios

yesterday i decided it was time to embark on a new adventure. cheerios. i figured kamdyn would enjoy playing with them but wasn't sure she would figure out to put them in her mouth...where in the world did that thought come from? she puts EVERYTHING in her mouth! why would this be any different?! even though she still has no teeth, i think she enjoyed the cheerios. she did get a couple in her mouth and she made a really funny face. it was cute but of course i did not get a picture. the last picture on here cracks me up b/c she has been doing this thing with her fist where she'll make a fist and move it back and forth like she's saying "yes" in sign language. it's great.

so close....

kamdyn is soooo close to crawling! she will get up on all 4s like this but then she gets so frustrated b/c she isn't sure what to do next! the 2nd picture is her frustrated face...picture it with her moaning and starting to cry! i have found her up on all 4s in her crib more than anything. so we'll see. i'm sure it will happen soon enough...am i ready for my life to change with her crawling everywhere? we shall see.

kamdyn is getting so close to sitting up on her own! she can do it for a little while and play but she will always lose her balance and fall over. it scares me every time but she's usually okay...as long as she doesn't hit her head on anything!



also, she LOVES this glow worm toy! she just gets so happy every time the face lights up. it is pretty cute.



and i just love how chunky her thighs are getting...finally taking after mom in something!!!

crib slats

i went in to check on kamdyn during her nap yesterday and she was sound asleep with her feet dangling through the crib slats! sometimes she gets stuck, but i guess this time she was comfy enough to stay asleep.
