A year forward

I can't believe this. I can't believe I am typing a new post for this blog. Lol. Honestly, the last time I blogged was when I was doing my Industrial Training in Klang. A year forward, I am now already an alumnus of UKM. I graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Nutritional Sciences and you can call me your nutritionist =) So what do I do now? Alhamdulillah I am currently working for the Nutrition Division,  Ministry of Health as a Research Officer. I'm on a 3-months contract but it will be renewed as long as the research is still ongoing.

With the economy that our country is in right now, finding a job is HARD. I ain't gonna lie to you about it. By the end of June/early July, I was already done with UKM. I finished my research, submitted my thesis and did everything I had to do as a student. After 2-3 weeks of being unemployed, I started to look for a job. My ultimate job hunting tool was Jobstreet.com. My friends also recommended few other similar websites like Maukerja.com and Indeed. But I prefer Jobstreet the most because I like how things work in that website better. However, my first job offer did not come from Jobstreet. A classmate of mine posted in our WhatsApp group about a vacancy in his workplace. He works in a marketing research company located in PWTC and the position offered was  part-time Quality Control Assistant.

Since PWTC is quite near to my house, I decided to try. Long story short, I managed to get the job. I didn't have to go through an interview or anything. Basically, my job was doing data entry, making validation phone calls and very little admin works. I worked there for a month before I got another job. So, the second job offer that I got is from Jobstreet.Since the QC job is temporary, I decided to try job hunting.  I remember the night I was preparing my resume because I didn't have one haha. Then, I saw a Nutritionist post is open in a pharmacy located in Bangsar. So, right after I finished editing my resume, I applied for that job. Next few days, I got a call for an interview, went for the interview and got the job. However sadly, I only lasted for 6 days (including 2 off days) there haha. I didn't like the environment. I did not enjoy working there. The working hours were crazy and not worth it. So I decided to quit.

So then I became unemployed again. Haha. Then, my friend Alia got a job in a company located in Ara Damansara and she recommended the three of us (Me, Tikah & Iza). So we got a call for the interview but only Tikah & I went for it. However, to our disappointment, the position that we were offered was different from what we expected. Because Alia is offered the Nutritionist position, we thought they would offer the same position to us. However, the position that they offered to us was Customer Service Executive. To make it even worse, we had to have a role play session during the interview and it was regarding an insurance policy which we both are clueless about. I remember when the interviewer were asking questions about the policy whatsoever, all that i could say to him was "I don't know. I'm not sure" repeatedly. hahahahaa. Worst interview ever. But still,  I got a call from thm recently asking whether I'm still looking for a job. Obviously, I'm not anymore. Lol. At least not until January next year.

So after that unsuccessful interview, another friend posted in our WhatsApp group about this job that I am currently doing. I sent my resume to the person in charge. I got a call for an interview, went for it and Alhamdulillah got the job. I've been working here for almost a month now and so far so good. I also did few other freelance/part time jobs such as data entry, document replication and part-time nutritonist for short-term events. Working life is hard. Now I get why people have been telling us to enjoy our uni life because the work life is harder. It is. But that's how life is. It gets harder and you get stronger. May Allah ease everyone of you who is currently looking for a job, struggling to finish your research or whatever it is anywhere in the world.

On and Off and On again!

Assalamualaikum and Hello!

I am back! Again and again..*nyanyi lagu 2PM* huhuhu..

I know I know. I've been such a bad blogger for neglecting this blog after making a statement of doing a comeback! Hahaha. Haritu dah gempak dah cakap nak blogging again then sepi seribu kata. It was not 100% on purpose though gaiss. I didn't have the inspiration to blog like how I used to blog before. Talent tu macam dah hilang. As if I have the talent pun before this! Luls

The reason why I decided to blog again is mainly because I'm so bored these days. I am doing my Industrial Training right now and I'm so free that I feel like I might die out of boredom. Bosan gila! I mean, the people here are all nice, my supervisor is super nice, the environment is great and all but I just can't bear sitting in the office from 8-5 doing nothing at all! It would've been better if I have something to do, hence I decided to blog!

There are days where we go out to visit school canteens and all but most of the time, I'm just in the office, staring on my laptop. Tu pun kalau bawak laptop! If not, ku tatapkan sahaja wajah Mira ( my partner) and muka my supervisor. Hahaha.

I'm not going to say that I'm going to blog seriously from now on but I wish I could. I really miss blogging though.

Anyways, it's half past four now and I'm gonna be off from work in half an hour. So, gotta go guys!

Lastly, I just wanna wish Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri! May Allah bless.

Till then, take care!
