it's been a while since i would like to spend some times to create new entry to this blog. several reasons have been very much the causes behind it. one of it being the laughable internet connection in my college, but the major cause is arsenal movement in the transfer window was been very sluggish. there have been many rumors linking many players to a possible move to arsenal. but none of it have been materialized. from ricky alvarez to karim benzema, chris samba to gary cahill, none of the players have signed a contract with arsenal. only the likes of jenkinson, an unproven right back and gervinho are those who have been captured by arsenal. it irritates me very much indeed that i don't really think that writing something in my blog can ease my feelings towards what will happen to the team.
and until the season started, mr wenger still being too reluctant to sign any new players. he even made a claim that his squad is already complete and he will only consider to bring any new players should he thinks necessary, which he, at that point of time, didn't feel like it. bodo! the best part is he opted to sell fabregas to barcelona, and later nasri to man city, without signing any replacements. lagik bodo! then the team was then

exposed with injuries and suspension to many key players namely wilshere, gervinho, song and gibbs. nothing looks like working our way. arsenal seems like very far from being the league contender after only managed to collect a single point from a possible nine, which the latest match saw them being humiliated by man utd 8-2, the biggest defeat recorded for arsenal in 114 years. my oh my!
nonetheless, i believe that heavy defeat suffered at old trafford was being a blessing in disguise for us, the fans, in particular. it did change the way mr wenger makes his move in the transfer market, though it seems like he did some panic buying instead. why i said so? because first: if he really thinks that these moves are necessary to strengthen the team, why he didn't make it sooner? second: except for mertersacker and arteta, where the rumor about the latter came late in the transfer period, none of the acquisitions have been linked for a move to arsenal. third: all five new players signed are aged more than 26, where, on the contrary, most of arsenal's new signings in the past are less than 24 years old. i don't really know whether mr wenger have made a wise decision in signing these players, but at least it make him realize that this team is bigger than one stupid policy.
when we can only witness the new arsenal squad next weekend, some of arsenal-bound have shown their worth in the interlull. park chu-young score a treble in south korea's 6-0 rout of lebanon. our new captain, robin van persie, score four goals in holland's record breaking scoreline when they thumped san marino 11-0. gunners-turn-hammers, henri lansbury scored a brace in england u-21 match against azerbaijan, where arsenal's new recruit, alex oxlade-chamberlain, was very much involved in both of his goals. ramsey captained wales and scored a winning goal to help gary speed records his first win with wales national squad. however, some players are still yet to participate in their respective national team when they failed to heal from injuries in time. vermaelen, sagna, gibbs and wilshere are still in the treatment room ahead of a home match against the newly relegated swansea.
i just hope that this international break can help the players to recharge and be fully prepared for the rest of the season, and i wish all gunners who will be involved in mid-week international matches, to come back to the emirates unscathed. till then. COYG~
