Results are in.. majority wins!

When the technician announced that it is a boy Jack said, "But I wanted a girl!" Then Jack proceeded to call him a little "fat-head" for the rest to the appointment (Thanks Andrew & Al - that's their lovely little nickname for our little brother Steve who doesn't appear to have a very fat head to me. I digress).

We couldn't get a good profile of the little guy because he insisted on sleeping on his stomach with his arms in front of his face. Next month I'll go in for a minute to see if we can get a quick snap shot. He appears to be completely healthy and normal though!

I think that it will be really fun (read "really really loud and crazy at times") to have 3 boys all together. And I'm glad that baby Luke will have a boy cousin his age too. Besides, we make really cute boys anyway so we might as well stick with what we know.

With all this testosterone around here, I'm needing a girl's night out! Any takers?

Bugs. Always bugs.

Baby #3

Monday we find out if we will be having a little boy or a little girl in November.
With Charlie and Jack I set up a little guessing game before we found out.

The results of Charlie's guesses were overwhelmingly for BOY. Jack's guesses were split 50/50. I guessed boy this go around because that's what I'm planning on because that's what we do so well but don't be swayed by me - I have no idea - a little girl would be really fun too.

We've been....

...doing some of this...

A little of this...

Trying to cut back on this...
... but finding it hard to resist this...
Charlie also started taking these...
But mostly we've been doing tons and tons of this...

An interesting read...

I came across this article this morning. It makes you think...

Our New Boat! OR, Happy Father's Day, Greg!

We've out grown our little dingy, so it was time for an upgrade. Greg's brother Dave is into classic boats. Which is really cool since I've always loved classic cars - it's like a whole new world I've never explored.

This weekend Greg surveyed Dave's collection and bought our favorite. It's going to need a little love, but it's sweet! It's very roomy - we can actually all fit comfortably on the front bench and even have room to throw some friends in the back!

It's a 16' 1958 or 1959 aluminum Texas Maid Bahama. We haven't found a lot of information yet on the Internet (shocking that Google didn't overwhelm me with information, I know!). It has a sweet windshield and beautiful classic fins on the back. And it's orange.

Why not recycle?

Especially when it's as cute as this!

More playgroup picts

It really doesn't take very much to entertain a bunch of toddlers.. just a little water... maybe a cookie.

Hey Mom, check this one out!

My friend Shayna posted a video of Charlie and her adorable Zoe dancing.
It's too cute!

Truly creepy...

Put THIS on my top ten reasons why I don't live in Florida.
Speaking of... Jess is one of my favorite top ten list makers.
Top 10 rejected FHE activities at BYU was a classic. Sport, do you still have it?

Summer haircuts

Wouldn't you know.. I picked the record coldest day of the month to buzz their heads and had to make them wear hats outside.

Jack informed me after his haircut that mine was entirely too long and I needed a summer haircut too. For half a second I toyed with the idea of buzzing it as well.

P.S. When I asked Charlie to come take this photo he said, "Fine! I'm missing Super Wy for this!"

We LUV buggies!

Jack came running into the house today to tell me to grab my camera he found a baby grasshopper! Sure enough... there he was.

I'm amazed at how many bugs they can find in our cement back yard. Jack loves bugs so much he has to stop his bike every time he sees one on the side walk. Which is a lot.

Moments later Charlie came out and found a really weird green bug. Jack said, "It's a mint kind!"

Memorial Day - Take 2

Last weekend was a little too cool outside to be the real Memorial Day.
So we gave it another shot this weekend with total success.
Saturday we had a Bar B Q followed by swimming followed by a second Bar B Q... just as Memorial Day should have been. It was my favorite day of the year.

In other huge news. Greg installed my brand new microwave. For those of you near and dear, you realize it's been more than a year since our other one started just working only sporadically when it deemed fit. It was possessed and finally died a few months ago. Buying a microwave was just too big of a chore and honestly we just worked around it. Shopping for appliances is worse than going to the dentist on my list. We celebrated it's arrival with Mallow Pop and are trying to figure out what else we can microwave now....
