Let's just pretend.
We just celebrated our 8th anniversary. This is a couple days late so let's just pretend that Bill and I were gone on some amazing vacation to Hawaii or something. We are still just as happy as this picture --->
Maybe even happier because we never could have imagined our beautiful, hilarious daughters and where life has lead us : )

I noticed this car on the bookshelf. James must've put it there. The interesting things is . . . she is good at balancing.
This cute little girl I have been watching for the last year was over today and she had a new trick since the last time I watched her. It's something that my girls haven't tried so, way to go with creative problem solving!
We are sad because today is the last day we are watching Kennedy : ( The girls have had so much fun having a friend to play twice a week. And most of the time they played great together, so it gave me a little time to get stuff done. We will miss you when we move to Iowa.

Busy Quilting
My good friend Randi got me pumped about quilting let's say, um, like, 4 years ago. So, the squares for the quilt were started 4 years ago. Finally, I got around to working on it again. And I made it into two quilts now that I have two children. We are planning on them having twin bunk beds when we move to the new house and so I decided it is a perfect time to get it done. I finished the tops this weekend! Just thought you might want to see what I have been up to!

Argh, matey!
The other day James was helping Dad cut up some wood and she told me she got a piece in her eye. We washed it out and gave it a day, then we went to the doctor. He put some antibiotic drops in and gave her a pirate eye patch. She didn't like it at first. Now she won't let me take it off. Last night the girls were running around. I love getting pictures of them exploding with joy and mischief. Yesterday James graduated from Preschool. The two sisters have so much fun together. The little mortar boards were so cute. Teachers are so creative! She will miss all of her preschool friends when we move and her teachers (who are amazing people, if I could buy them and have them live with us I would!).

Competition beware.
Your Thinking is Abstract and Random |
You are flexible, adaptable, and creative. There's many ways that you can learn - and you're up for any of them. You relate well to other people, and you do well working in groups. You can help people communicate together and work with each other's strengths. You don't work well with people who are competitive or adversarial. You prefer to work toward a common goal... not toward conflicting goals. |

Campbell found a snake.
Campbell has started this new thing of going outside, by herself. It's not the greatest thing and I don't let her be out there for more then like 2 minutes. The other day she went outside and was standing right by the side door. Then she says "Mom, a snake, a snake!" I go outside and ask her where it was. She pointed and this is what we saw:I guess we need a biology lesson. Although I was impressed that she even thought it was a snake.

Goat Sitting
Yesterday we were goat-sitting for a little while. My mom's goat, Lemony, had to have a c-section because her little boy (pictured here) was "a little huge" to quote James. He was 10 lbs something and normal goat babies are more like 6. I'm sure some of you can relate. He's not even 24 hours old yet in these pictures. My sister Heather also sent the girls some presents, this is them opening them. The goat didn't stay in the box for long. He was so good and stayed in the kitchen except when he started following James around the house. No accidents though! The cat was scared of the goat. It was hilarious. Jr. Dr. Dolittle. The girls each feeding the goat in their own way. Here's Campbell being herself. A little clown! She loves to make people laugh, she gets it from her dad! James was trying to get the goat to suck on her finger. I had to post some pictures of our yard right now. I love the magnolia tree. And all my bulbs came in this year.

Sleep, child, sleep!
I don't think Campbell understands the importance of sleep yet. James has always been such a sleeper. Bill says that James is more like him and Campbell is more like me. These pictures were taken at 10 o'clock at night. Campbell had spent 3 hours making noise, intermittent crying, and peaking her head out of the bedroom door until she finally just came out and sat on the couch. We usually don't give in. But she is so dang cute! Especially when she is so tired and loopy. Last night she was pulling the same tricks. I went in and talked to her a little about how she needs to go to sleep. Then I started humming her a song. She asked to be in her bed and if I would sing "Wheels on the Bus" (her favorite bed time song, I think because it has so many verses, or the repetition helps her fall asleep). After I was done I tucked her in and she fell asleep, not right away but she didn't make any more noise. I hope this works every night.

Happy Cinco De Mayo!
I love a reason to celebrate especially if it involves Mexican food. Thanks Becky for the Carne Asada marinade. We love it. We are having shredded beef tacos, with freshly fried tortillas, pico de gallo, guacamole and virgin strawberry margaritas. Come on over for the celebration (of something important that happened sometime in history.) I really should do my research.

New Ride
Hi. This is Bill. Some of you know who I am, for everyone else, I am Erin's husband. Yes, I do exist, only when she lets me out of the garage. I decided to take over the blog and put a manly twist on this blog thing (yes I asked permission), but I am still manly!
Anyway, I go on ebay every now and then to check out what is out there, besides my mind. I found the sweetest deal. A 1989 Mercedes-Benz 300 SE with 255,000 miles. Oh, by the way, the a/c and cruise control work. So I put a bid in for $600 then checked out the bid 15 minutes before it was over. I was outbid by $10, this cannot be! Crazy! I increased my bid and won!! I bought a Mercedes-Benz for $611, I rule. Erin was like "I thought you were'nt going to win", what do I say to this. We went to Chicago to pick up the car not knowing the condition or if it would even make the trip home. All I know is that the car was sitting all winter and needs some brake work. We made the trip back home with out incident, I even hit 80 mph, but could not stop to save my life.
We made it home okay, so don't worry. I have used up my time. Here are some sweet photos!
