Strictly For Filipino Readers Only....A Hilarious Video On The C5 Scandal In the Philippines
I found this hilarious, yet hard-hitting video on the C5 Extension Project Scandal. The video says it all! It depicts the futile effort of Villar and company in preventing the truth from coming out. I couldn't stop laughing while watching this video! See it for yourself and you'll surely get a load of fun and laughter viewing it.

Villar Chickened Out Once More - No Show At The Senate Today!
Hiding under the lame excuse that the Senate Committee Report on the controversial C5 Extension Project is merely politically motivated to smear his reputation and derail his presidential bid, Villar did a no-show at the senate today. Instead his party mates took the cudgels of defending him by arguing that the senate inquiry was just meant to unjustly crucify him and derail his campaign. With hardly six session days left, we may not see the truth behind these accusations! (Most probably, this is Villar's intended game plan!)

First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit Extends to 2010
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Coldwell Banker. All opinions are 100% mine.
The First Time Home Buyer Credit which was part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Obama's Economic Stimulus Package) was set to expire on November 30, 2009. However, President Obama signed the 2010 Homebuyer Tax Credits extending the tax credits to 2010. What's more, the new credit is no longer limited to first time homebuyers but now includes buyers who are selling or have recently sold their home. And, so much unlike the original tax package, the credit does not have to be repaid unless the home owner sells or stops using the home as their principal residence within three years after the purchase.
The real estate industry would be no different at all! Where all others shy away from buying a new home during these trying times, I would take it as a great opportunity (in fact a once in a lifetime opportunity) to buy in and invest in that much coveted new home. Real estate prices would be attractively depressed, mortgage rates are at an all time low....and most important of all, you can get as much as $8000 tax credit for your new home purchase through the 2010 Homebuyer Tax Credits !
So, if you've been dreaming of a new home, stop dreaming and act now. Take advantage of the 2010 Homebuyer Tax Credits
The tax credit is a true credit. It does not have to be repaid unless the home owner sells or stops using the home as their principal residence within three years after the purchase.
Buyers purchasing in 2010 will have the option to:

It's the best time to buy your new home now!
I have been a currency trader for many years now, and as a trader I have been honed to look for opportunities where others fail to search. I have been trained to look at a plunging market as an opportunity to buy in and acquire investments at super bargain prices!

Who is Eligible
- First-time home buyers, who are defined by the law as buyers who have not owned a principal residence during the three-year period prior to the purchase, may be eligible for a tax credit of 10% of the home purchase price, up to a maximum of $8,000.
- Existing home owners who have been residing in their principal residence for five consecutive years out of the last eight and are purchasing a home to be their principal residence (“repeat buyer”), may be eligible for a tax credit of 10% of the home purchase price, up to a maximum of $6,500.
- All U.S. citizens who file taxes are eligible to participate in the program.
Income Limits
- Home buyers who file as single or head-of-household taxpayers can claim the full credit ($8,000 for first-time buyers and $6,500 for repeat buyers) if their modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) is less than $125,000.
- For married couples filing a joint return, the combined income limit is $225,000.
- Single or head-of-household taxpayers who earn between $125,000 and $145,000, and married couples who earn between $225,000 and $245,000 are eligible to receive a partial credit.
- The credit is not available for single taxpayers whose MAGI is greater than $145,000 and married couples with a MAGI that exceeds $245,000.
Effective Dates
- The eligibility period for the tax credit is for homes purchased after Nov. 6, 2009, and before May 1, 2010. However, home purchases subject to a binding sales contract signed by April 30, 2010, will qualify for the tax credit provided closing occurs prior to July 1, 2010.
Types of Homes that Qualify
- All homes with a purchase price of less than $800,000 qualify, including newly-constructed or resale, and single-family detached, townhomes or condominiums, provided that the home will be used as their principal residence. Vacation home and rental property purchases do NOT qualify.
Tax Credit is Refundable
- A refundable credit means that if the amount of income taxes you owe is less than the credit amount you qualify for, the government will send you a check for the difference.
- For example:
- A first-time buyer who qualifies for the full $8,000 credit who owes $5,000 in federal income taxes would pay nothing to the IRS and receive a $3,000 payment from the government. If you are due to receive a $1,000 refund, you would receive $9,000 ($1,000 plus the $8,000 tax credit).
- A repeat buyer who owes $5,000 would pay nothing to the IRS and receive $1,500 back from the government. If you are due to get a $1,000 refund, you would get $7,500 ($1,000 plus the $6,500 tax credit).
- All qualified home buyers can take the tax credit on their 2009 or 2010 income tax return.
The tax credit is a true credit. It does not have to be repaid unless the home owner sells or stops using the home as their principal residence within three years after the purchase.
Buyers purchasing in 2010 will have the option to:
- Claim the credit on their 2009 return, even if the purchase is completed after December 31, 2009;
- Fill out Form 5405 to determine the amount of your available credit;
- Apply the credit when you file your 2009 tax return or file an amended return;
- Attach documentation of purchase to your return or amended return.
- File an amended return for 2009 if their purchase is completed after April 15, 2010; or,
- Claim the credit on their 2010 tax returns.
Invest wisely! Buy your new home now and be a happy new homeowner!

"A Student of the Greatest Teacher Ever"
I got this rather long discourse about the existence of God between a renowned professor and one of his now infamous student from an email sent by a friend. I posted this in my other blog (Swirling Thoughts) a long time ago, but I am again posting this here for all non-believers to read. Please have the patience to read through till the end. I guarantee you will enjoy it. (Have a more fruitful New Year - with God in our hearts!)
An Atheist Professor of Philosophy speaks to his Class on the Problem Science has with GOD, The ALMIGHTY.
He asks one of his New Christian Students to stand and . . .
Professor : You are a Christian, aren’t you, son ?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor : So you Believe in GOD ?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Professor : Is GOD Good ?
Student : Sure.
Professor : Is GOD ALL - POWERFUL ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : My Brother died of Cancer even though he Prayed to GOD to Heal him.
Most of us would attempt to Help Others who are ill.
But GOD didn’t.
How is this GOD Good then ? Hmm ?
( Student is silent )
Professor : You can’t answer, can you ?
Let’s start again, Young Fella.
Is GOD Good ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : Is Satan good ?
Student : No.
Professor : Where does Satan come from ?
Student : From . . . GOD . . .
Professor : That’s right.
Tell me son, is there evil in this World ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : Evil is everywhere, isn’t it ?
And GOD did make Everything. Correct ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : So who created evil ?
( Student does not answer )
Professor : Is there Sickness ? Immorality ? Hatred ? Ugliness ?
All these terrible things exist in the World, don’t they ?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor : So, who Created them ?
( Student has no answer )
Professor : Science says you have 5 Senses you use to Identify and Observe the World around you.
Tell me, son . . . Have you ever Seen GOD ?
Student : No, sir.
Professor : Tell us if you have ever Heard your GOD ?
Student : No , sir.
Professor : Have you ever Felt your GOD, Tasted your GOD, Smelt your GOD ?
Have you ever had any Sensory Perception of GOD for that matter ?
Student : No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.
Professor : Yet you still Believe in HIM ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn’t exist.
What do you say to that, son ?
Student : Nothing. I only have my Faith.
Professor : Yes. Faith. And that is the Problem Science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as Heat ?
Professor : Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as Cold ?
Professor : Yes.
Student : No sir. There isn’t.
( The Lecture Theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events )
Student : Sir, you can have Lots of Heat, even More Heat, Superheat, Mega Heat, White Heat,
a Little Heat or No Heat.
But we don’t have anything called Cold.
We can hit 458 Degrees below Zero which is No Heat, but we can’t go any further after that.
There is no such thing as Cold.
Cold is only a Word we use to describe the Absence of Heat.
We cannot Measure Cold.
Heat is Energy.
Cold is Not the Opposite of Heat, sir, just the Absence of it.
( There is Pin - Drop Silence in the Lecture Theatre )
Student : What about Darkness, Professor ? Is there such a thing as Darkness ?
Professor : Yes. What is Night if there isn’t Darkness ?
Student : You’re wrong again, sir.
Darkness is the Absence of Something.
You can have Low Light, Normal Light , Bright Light, Flashing Light . . .
But if you have No Light Constantly, you have Nothing and it’s called Darkness, isn’t it ?
In reality, Darkness isn’t.
If it is, were you would be able to make Darkness Darker, wouldn’t you ?
Professor : So what is the point you are making, Young Man ?
Student : Sir, my point is your Philosophical Premise is Flawed.
Professor : Flawed ? Can you explain how ?
Student : Sir, you are working on the Premise of Duality.
You argue there is Life and then there is Death, a Good GOD and a BadGOD.
You are viewing the Concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure.
Sir, Science can’t even explain a Thought.
It uses Electricity and Magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one.
To view Death as the Opposite of Life is to be ignorant of the fact that
Death cannot exist as a Substantive Thing.
Death is Not the Opposite of Life : just the Absence of it.
Now tell me, Professor, do you Teach your Students that they Evolved from a Monkey ?
Professor : If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir ?
( The Professor shakes his head with a Smile, beginning to realize where the Argument is going )
Student : Since no one has ever observed the Process of Evolution at work and
cannot even prove that this Process is an On - Going Endeavor,
are you not Teaching your Opinion, sir ?
Are you not a Scientist but a Preacher ?
( The Class is in Uproar )
Student : Is there anyone in the Class who has ever Seen the Professor’s Brain ?
( The Class breaks out into Laughter )
Student : Is there anyone here who has ever Heard the Professor’s Brain, Felt it, Touched or Smelt it ? . . .
No one appears to have done so.
So, according to the Established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that
you have No Brain, sir.
With all due respect, sir, how do we then Trust your Lectures, sir ?
( The Room is Silent. The Professor stares at the Student, his face unfathomable )
Professor : I guess you’ll have to take them on Faith, son.
Student : That is it sir . . .
the Link between Man & GOD is FAITH.
That is all that Keeps Things Moving & Alive.
Can you guess who that infamous student was?
It turned out later that the student was Albert Einstein!
