Rilyn has been playing T-ball on an all girls team again this year. She is such a great little athlete.
She loves to be running after the ball (every ball, even the ones hit on the other side of the field from her) and she is just an all around natural. She is way better than I ever was! Of course her favorite part of the game is the end when she gets a ticket for SNOW CONES!
Casen likes that part a lot too. Speaking of Casen, he and his little brothers keep me entertained (and busy) all day. Casen has had to become very independent since my hands are usually super full of baby. He cracks me up at the things he does. Some of my favorites are running around the house in his underwear (which he sometimes uses as not just underwear but as a place to put his toys and what not when he doesn't want to hold them. Hes a nut!).
He LOVES chocolate milk and if I'm in the middle of nursing he knows its going to be a little bit before he can get a refill (probably should mention that he is not very good at waiting) so now if he wants a refill and doesn't want to wait he will bring me the milk and chocolate syrup and his cup for me to take care of it where ever I am.
What a goof. He LOVES his brothers and wants to be by them all day. The other morning he decided that he wanted to sit by his babies (as he calls them) but he also wanted to watch Dora on the iPad so what did he do, he used one of his brothers as an iPad stand and got the best of both worlds.
And moving onto the twins. Brigg and Brooks hit 4 weeks this week (holy crap time is flying!) and they are getting so big.
They are great babies and hardly ever cry. They are getting used to tummy time but its not their favorite.
They tend to take turns needing cuddles (Briggy needed some Mommy time while Brooks was plying with his Sissy)
and have been getting more alert everyday. One last highlight of the week was Pat's Run which I did on Saturday. It was a really cool race. There were so many American flags that people were holding while they ran, and lots of people in the service, and lots of vets. It meant a lot to see so many people (27000 people) there running to support our country and our military. It really meant a lot after the bombing that happened in Boston this week. There were a lot of Remember Boston and Running for Boston things that I saw out on the course. It was really cool to get to be a part of it. The best part may have been that my body finally got with the program and I ran the 4.2 miles in 41 minutes (41:28 to be exact) making this not only the longest distance I have run since having the boys but also my fastest pace. I didn't take any pictures of myself during the race but the Cardinals mascot and Sparky run with us and they started 15 minutes before I did but I was able to catch and pass Big Red the Cardinal around mile 3.
