Wow this first year out in good old Erie has flown by! Moving out here I wasn't sure what to expect and I was a little nervous because it was my first time away from home. Now that we've been here for a year, I can say that moving away has been the best thing for our family. We've had to learn to depend on each other and we've made some amazing friends. So far in the last year we have moved twice, got a new car (good old Marge is still awesome and has totally converted me to Subarus - I want a new one when we get out of school because I love my car so much), expanded the family, learned to drive and survive in snow (who knew shoveling snow could be such a good workout), survived our first year of med school, visited places in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, and Canada, and I know I have just totally fallen in love with living out here. Cody can't wait to get back to AZ, and eventually we will, but I'm hoping we take our time getting there (don't worry that doesn't mean that I don't miss everyone back home).

Grandparents Round 2
Cody's parents came out and spent a week with us. We had a lot of fun and Rilyn loved getting to see her grandparents and getting more attention! We had a very busy, fun filled week. We went to the beach and walked at Presque. We went to Niagara Falls. We went to Kirtland. We went to the zoo. And just had an all around great time catching up. Rilyn is still totally in love with her brother and wants to be holding and kissing and playing with him. Casen is still the perfect baby and hes already growing so fast! I can't believe we've had himfor over 3 weeks.

Grandparents Fun Take 1
My parents came out to our house this week. They got here on Saturday night and Rilyn was so excited to see them. She even woke them up extra early to start playing. Grandpa and Casen hung out in the jammies and Rilyn checked out all of the goodies that Grandpa and Grandma brought. Her favorite thing was the new swing set! It took Cody and my dad and even "Uncle" Smitty to get it up. It took all day too! We celebrated the 4th by building a swing set and having a bbq. And you can't forget the matching flag shirts (I'm a dork and had to get them since it was our first family holiday). Rilyn got to play with some sparklers and Grandma taught her how to sled down the hill with a box. Since the swing set has been up Rilyn has spent every minute that she can convince someone to go outside with her on her swingset. She loves that it has a "tree house" and shes learning how to swing all by herself already. We went berry picking one day and Rilyn loved running around with Grandma trying to find good berries and Grandpa and Casen found their fair share of berries too. My mom, Ashlee, and I went to go see Eclipse one night. It was great, Best one so far! This week we also took Grandma and Grandpa to the zoo, to the Beach, and Rilyn took them hiking at Asbury Woods. Rilyn is still loving her little brother. She is the best little helper. She wants to be holding him and kissing him and bringing him blankets and pacifiers all day long. They also have had some brother and sister nap times. Casen is already getting big. At his one week appointment he had grown a little over an inch and gained a pound since we'd left the hospital. He is a great baby. He hardly ever cries and hes sleeping great at night already. I'm feeling very lucky to have such great kids!
