in heels
I think over the course of internship, I have discovered a liking for heels and the extra height it brings.
Of course, heels bring with it pain and lots of plasters. But I have discovered a miracle cure-all for blisters. J&J Baby Moisturizing Lotion. Prevents blisters. I swear. And of course rubber stick-ons, which bf bought. Thanks, love. Also, the back of my foot has become coarser over the course of these few months. I blame that on the constant blisters at the start of internship.
And I'm looking for a new pair of flats, since I kindof chipped my current pair (I always chip my shoes, don't know how I walk). But I didn't see any that I like at Far East when I went there on Friday to get bf's new hp (which we didn't in the end, cuz of some dishonest cheater bug hp seller, but that's another long story).
I dread doing my PI report. I have no idea why. Just being lazy and seeing how it has really no point, since we aren't graded anywayz.
And I wish I take more photos, but somehow the photo-taking bug just doesn't hit me. And I feel awkward and paiseh when I bring out Renoir to take shots. Must be bf's camera-shy influence.

Work
Work is super duper stressful! MWC, Sam Singapore launch, virus, jap clothing launch. All these things make me go crazy.
Thankfully, the bank side is more calm, even though 260 people wanna sue them, but the online chatter is that there is no case.
I feel that jap clothing is like my baby. Because I'm with it every single step of the way. It's very exciting and at the same time very daunting, when you know that you can't offend any journalist, but yet sometimes they make you so "irritated". I think the fake part of the industry comes in when you try to stay cordial and warm and interested in a phone convo.
And left with only 3 interns, the work is piling up and we have to take over some of the stuff and hang in there till April, when new interns come.
I know I'm not exactly typing in a reader-friendly way now. But I just feel in the mood for point form. Haha.
Went for a man yue today. My baby niece. I guess at man yues, you ooh and ahh the baby for all of 5 min and then you go eat and chit chat and hang out and nobody remembers the baby till the end of the day. Haha.

number 5
Before people think I'm one of those couples crowding up the streets on Vday, I like to say that I'm not exactly celebrating Vday, but rather my anniversary with jw. Hehz.
My lovely bouquet of I don't how many roses, cuz I keep getting mixed up when I count them. And I know that at first it was meant to be a bouquet of 12 (cuz jw is a poor student now) but cuz we are such "regular customers", they upgraded my bouquet for free. Yay! And it's two-toned by the way, so that's kindof special and different from the usual red. And I got a swarovski crystal heart handphone thingy as well. All these were delivered to me on 13th at my office. At first I was super duper paiseh. So, that may have seemed like I was unappreciative. But I love the flowers. Thank you. And you know my reactions are always liddat. I don't have a "surprised" look. Sorry sorry. Luckily I didn't have to carry the bouquet by myself in the train. My colleague gave me a big Massimo Dutti paper bag. Haha.
And then on Vday, we went Batam for our first couple spa experience. 'Twas nice. I feel very exfoliated. Haha. And I like the jacuzzi. That's the view from our villa, where we were scrubbed and massaged. I think the island opposite is Jakarta, or that's what the masseuse said. Actually maybe it was better that we didn't stay over, cuz I don't think they have plenty to do there anyway.
Sepia-toned us. Haha. In the ferry waiting to leave for Batam. Fooling around with the new LG Renoir (which I haven't pay for yet, so it's kindof a vday gift too). Hehz.

Shopped around for my camisole which I would need to accompany my suit for Samsung tomorrow. Got one at Zara. I like Zara stuff. Although all of it is very ex. =(
And then we decided to escape the crowd and had dinner at my place. Leftover curry chicken, bread and pizza. Haha. Doesn't seem the conventional sort of dinner. But I like it anyway.
Thanks love for always being so sweet and loving. =) Happy 5th Anniversary! Thanks for the flowers, the shoe cushions, the lg...And of course 5 wonderful years of love. Love you!

2 Roads
Everytime when I come out of Somerset MRT to walk to my work place, there are two roads in front of me. One is a sandy road with a winding shorter path. The other is a pavement with a shelter. Whenever I walk on either routes, I would think of how these two paths might symbolise different things. The short dirt route gets me to my destination faster but I hate how the dirt and sand gets stuck in my heels. The longer route is sheltered and raised, so it's safe from the rain and much of the dirt. I guess that's kindof like an analogy for life. Like if you choose the shorter path in life, it might not be the correct, purest path to take, but you get to where you want earlier. Sometimes there is the issue of peer pressure as well, when your colleague walks the shorter route and you're "forced" to go along as well. Haha. I think too much.
Work must be making me real stressed. I keep getting white hair.
Swimming got 2 points! Yay! I know I dreaded going. But once I was there, I had a couple of good swims, so I am pleased.
Please remember to buy from my blogshop. =D elitairloft.livejournal.com

Plastic Surgery
Okay, I've been far too lazy to blog. I gueess that's how it is when you're working. And Jane must be so bored waiting for updates from here. Haha.
I've been busy. Let's just say I do not like online conversation audit and that I hate it when *** posts big announcements and forum peeps go and talk so much nonsense about it I feel like slapping them. There are really some idiots who post in every single thread. And you get the feeling that people online are judgemental and kindof selfish and mean, well mostly traders, who are male and working class. So does that mean all my current friends are going to grow up to be judgemental, mean and selfish? I hope not, since JW is into trading now. 0_O Sometimes though, some blog posts just amuses me.
And, after reading like an article on cheap plastic surgery, I decided to search for acquaintances who are rumoured to have gone under the knife. Not that it's a bad thing. I just thought it would be interesting to compare. Anyhow, if I ever have a lot of cash (I doubt I'll go for the cheap ones overseas) and like I really really wanna be prettier, I would go and do my nose, make my feet narrower (i doubt that's possible though, would have to break bones) and maybe breast implants, a tummy tuck, liposuction...the works. Haha. Gosh, if they could straighten my hair (but not like rebonded effect), that would be good too.
CNY was normal. But I did follow JW visiting on the 2nd day. So that was different and interesting. I wish I can make like CNY goodies, then I can give people when I go visiting.
"Oh, you shouldn't have."
"No trouble at all. Would you like the recipe?"
But I don't have the patience, nor a big enough oven.
Oh, and one of my very good JC friends Hui has flown to Austria. Oh my tians. Will miss her very much, especially when the clique meet up. Good luck, babe! Hope you're settling in well. And thank you for the very yummilicious steamboat at your place on CNY day 3. =D
Okay, random update: elitairloft has sprung up with a vday collection, entitled beloved. so do come and support. elitairloft.livejournal.com. =D If not, my room would be filled with big red plastic bags full of uncleared stock and my mum would kill me. hehz.
