"We Help Our Mom Bake Cookies..."

My Mom is so good in the kitchen. Every year she makes Christmas candy to take to friends and parties she will be attending. So this year, I decided that I wanted to give my co-workers candy for Christmas. Jill joined in the fun and we had a blast.

Jill took a break from the madness. I had found some old home videos upstairs, so we watched them as we worked. We laughed our heads off!

Amy Lou even stopped in to help after Upward practice:)

CALIFORNIA...here she comes!!!!!

So, my best friend, Blair, is moving to a land far, far, away called CALIFORNIA!!!! I am so proud of her for following her dreams and doing what she feels the Lord is leading her to, BUT I AM GONNA MISS THAT CRAZY HEAD!!!! Monday night she came down with a few of our gal pals and we had us a freakin awesome time. Here is a few pictures from that wonderful night.

We had so much fun. Leave it to a bunch of girls to hit Mexican and Waffle House in the same night! We just didn't want the night to end. We started on Twilight, talked about God, and then we came full circle by relating our Faith to situations and characters from the book!! How hilarious:) I love you girls- thanks for a great night!

Double the Pleasure... Double the Fun!

I just finished reading the Twilight series for the second time- AND watched the movie twice. I still love it just as before. I shut the book and found myself trying to talk myself out of starting all over again! I think I should start a Edward Annonymous group for me and my friends, but who would help us?!? I would be like the weak trying to help the weak. I am totally obsessed!
If i was still thirteen, I would get a poster for my wall and this would be it...

Oh well! Since it is Christmas time I thought I would write a Christmas list (inspired by Jill's flair!!)
Dear Santa,
For Christmas this year I want an Edward Cullen. That's all.
Thanks,
Beth

Bring on the Merriment!!!

This post is more of a declartion, a venting of sorts-
Okay... for those of you who know me even a little, you will know that I have gotten a reputation of being very UNjolly around Christmas time. Yes, I hate decorating the house and the yard and the rush, rush, rush of the holiday. BUT can i just say-

I AM NOT A GRINCH!!!!

Actually, I am looking forward to Christmas this year. I have been trying to ignore the fact that Christmas has been on the Walmart shelves since October, and that I had to decorate two Christmas trees, and the Christmas music I have been listening to in the office since Thanksgiving. I understand the reason for my displeasure with the holiday is the fact that it is started way to early. Too much of a good thing is definitely just that- TOO MUCH! So I decided that in order to enjoy this time of year, I was gonna celebrate when the day was actually on the horizon. So 15 days of Christmas sounds pretty good. Next week I am going to make Christmas candy with my mom, I put some of my favorite Christmas songs up on the blog, and am gonna go do some holiday shopping. I have alsways loved the coming together of family and friends. That is actually the best part. So- no more of this "Beth hates the holiday" crap! I love Jesus, the REASON for the season.... therefore- I LOVE THIS SEASON!

Drama Time!!!

So- this has been a really long week! Our church held their annual Christmas Drama which I have been a part of for some 17 or more years. This is such a great ministry in our church, but it wears me slap out! My Dad and I do a scene together about a troubled teen who has an abortion from the urging of her father. She learns the forgiveness of our precious Lord and Savior. My friend Rachel was a central character in the drama, and SHE DID AMAZING!!! I wish someone would have gotten a picture of her doing her part. My brother-in-law, Aaron, played Jesus and he did phenomenal as well! I made a collage from a few scenes from our play. Hope you enjoy them.

A girl with a serious problem

So, here’s the deal. My cousin Rachel got me hopelessly addicted to the Twilight books and now my life has pretty much become consumed with this crazy vampire world. If you know me, you know I love to read, but I have seriously got a problem now. I find myself carrying these books with me everywhere! I think I might even get fired from work if I don’t watch out because I try to sneak in a page of two when I should be doing a thousand other things- LIKE MY JOB! This is getting ridiculous. Not only am I reading all the time, but I find myself arguing with people about the characters in this book. I was at Borders on my lunch break this week and I started up a conversation with a young girl about the books. I want Bella with Edward… I LOVE this character. This other girl, who doesn’t even count because her opinion sucks, wants Bella with Jacob the werewolf! I almost had myself committed with fussing with a complete stranger at Borders about these fictional characters. Tell me there is someone out there who can feel my pain!!!

Okay- for Jill....

Missy's getting hitched!

So this past week, some of my cousin Rebecca came down to show off her baby boy Joseph. He is absolutely adorable! Since I work and am so busy all the time i hardly got to see them, but i did manage to make it to an "impromtu" dinner/shower for Missy's wedding. Amy got a few of us together and it was so nice. A lot of her old friends couldn't make it to the shower so we met up in Conyers for a good time. Here are some photos of the night...

Me and the new Mommy:)

Bride to Be, Baby and Me

It was really so much fun. We hardly ever get together anymore with all the changes and that are going on in all our lives! We sure did miss Ally Girl!!! Hope you know you were thought about!

Memories

Okay- so as i said on the first post... this is the one thing that convinced me to finally cave in and blog so i hope you guys post!!!

Here's how it works:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together, or one of the first memories you have of me. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you

Why Not?!?!

Okay all you people out there. The haters and the beggars that pleaded for me to get a blog. Well, in true pushover fashion... i have succomb. (Plus i really wanted to play the memory game with you guys:) I don't know what i am thinking about getting a blog because I don't have a lot of time, nor do i own a camera, so this is liable to be interesting. But i love my cousins and my sisters so i said... WHY NOT!!!!
