If only I could count. I know I have made my house at least a stitch too high. Oh well.
I'm putting this away for a little bit. I need to get some other stitching done.
If only I could count. I know I have made my house at least a stitch too high. Oh well.
I'm putting this away for a little bit. I need to get some other stitching done.
Here's my finishing point for the weekend.
A leaf and part of a caterpillar:
Well, I have been able to get a lot done on this project.
I thought I should work on the border as there's a lot of it!
Big life changes going on. When things settle down, I will share them. I have been working on my little gold work hedgehog from Clara's Stitching.
My neighbor made these years ago:
They remind me of a wonderful Christian lady who was so kind to me.
I had to take my mother in law to the doctor. Lots of stitching time on this project.
Candy corn and peanuts- balanced diet!
I pulled this out again as it's on my M.A.G.I.C list for the Tudor Rose Sampler Guild.
Excuse the wrinkles!
I think I am done with Dawn to Dusk. The design calls for another border, but I like it this way.
It looks so much better in person!Well, I managed to get some stitching done.
Dawn to Dusk by Textured Treasures
Starting point:
Ending point - I finished the border and started to bead.Casket:This is a wonderful SAL hosted by Jo over at https://serendipitousstitching.blogspot.com/?m=1
My project is a gift for my mom:
This will eventually be a book cover.
I just got back from visiting my family in Albuquerque. I love Balloon Fiesta!
I took two projects with me, Baltic Easter Basket Cover by Avlea and a book cover for my mom.Life is a little stressful right now. I think a lot of people feel stressed right now. So when I am overly stressed I stop anything that adds to my stress. I listen to the Bible and stitch. Since stitching slows down your heart rate and lowers your blood pressure, it's the perfect activity to calm myself down. Also, listening to God's word puts everything in perspective.
For some reason counted canvas wasn't working so I pulled out Alice Ellen Usher. One color and just letters or numbers. Perfect.
I also purchased this cute thread holder fromSassy Jacks It makes me happy.
If you look closely, the Jessica's are not correct. I will have to rip them out because they bother me.
Dawn to Dusk is a large piece so I decided to get a layer done on the border.
I'm trying not to do the motifs because I know I will abandon the project if they get done!
Well, I managed to finish No Time Like the Present by Modern Folk Embroidery.
Then I moved on to my Bargello GCC -
Well, my goal is to get No Time Like the Present by Modern Folk Embroidery stitched this weekend.
Oh so close!
I may work on another project too but this is my priority.
See the circled bit below? That is the bottom of the sampler. I'm so close but I had the urge to start something new.
I want to show my calendar for August.
And I have decided to stitch on No Time Like the Present by Modern Folk Embroidery until I get it done or I can't stand it anymore.
If I need to switch off, I will work on Dawn to Dusk.
