WIP Wednesday
I am never going to get this piece done at the rate I am going! But I do like stitching on it so I gave it some love over the past few days. (Those biscornus aren't due until October and Christmas is months away!) I am a giant procrastinator!!
This is the last photo I showed you:
I did some black and got some fill-in done.
Every little stitch counts!

International Hermit and Stitch Weekend
Well, I managed to get some stitching done this weekend despite dropping my youngest at college and working my guild's webpage.
I taught them blackwork earlier this month and I am trying to get the little squares I stitched made into biscornus.
I dyed the aida myself and think it came out rather nice. Now to get 4 biscornus ready so I can teach in October.
Hope everyone got some stitching time this weekend!

Gifted Gorgeousness for August
I am behind, as usual, but I wanted to show that I have done a little stitching.
Jo over at Serendipitous stitching hosts this SAL and it is always fun to see what everyone else is working on that was a gift, is a gift or has the word gift in it!
This is a gift for my husband's aunt who is in her 90's. I am trying to get it done before Christmas. I'm so slow, it will be a race!

People's Choice for August
Jo over at Serendipitous Stitching hosts this SAL where each month we post on a different theme.
This month it is monochrome.I had hoped that I would have been able to start a new piece by today, but no such luck. But I do have a monochromatic project to show you!
Not much progress, but I am trying to work on it a little each week.
Do you like monochromatic projects? I have a few in my stash that are calling my name, but I am trying to resist! Linda do not tempt me!
Stitching the Same Thing Again
I made this biscornu a while back but now I need to make more. Why? Because I am going to teach it to my local embroidery guild.
Here is the one I originally made:
Here are the linens I dyed for my guild:
I am stitching a few samples on aida that I dyed:
I want to have a few pieces to pass around the meeting. Also, then I can have a few ready for when I show them how to finish the pieces. But I need to hurry as the meeting is in a few weeks!

July Recap
I was able to stitch every day on my Christmas Stocking for the month of July. It is looking good!
Here is where I started at the beginning of July:
And here I am today:
It has been nice to really concentrate on one project. I am thinking about switching projects this weekend. I want to get a little more done on Reptiles this year.
Melissa always asks a question for the WIPocalypse check-in. This month the question was how do you get out of a stitching slump? I did have a bad slump a few years ago. I stitched a little, but not much. I did other things instead-mixed media art was a favorite. But I have stitched for ages, so it was easy to get back into the swing of things.
Happy stitching!
