Christmas festivities at Crafts too

Hi friends, I hope no one is suffering from the bad storms that are due to hit the UK today! Safe hugs to all those that are due to be affected!
I'm here today with my 4th Project for the monthly challenge over at Crafts too which is Christmas festivities and our 2nd twist of what Christmas means to you and I have chosen to make a snowy card..
My papers are from Joys winter paper bloc and I have used the crafts too snowman border die, some lace from LLC, flowers from WOC, Snowflake border die from Tim Holtz. Snowflakes cut in Joys structure paper (shiny blue) from crafts too cut with a Mariannes die, a pretty butterfly from Kays Kreative Korner and my sentiment also from crafts too.
My gorgeous image is another one of those beautiful Saturated Canary ones you can get on a CD from Digital crafting essentials magazine out now. I have coloured her with prisma pencils and have used a magnolia snowflake stamp around the edge. I have used liquid pearls for the snow.
Christmas to me means warm clothes and cold snowy days and nights, when the kids get wrapped up to sprinkle their reindeer food on the lawn for Santa on Christmas eve!
I hope you can join us again this month for this fun challenge!
Thanks for coming by my blog friends

New Challenge at Polkadoodles

Hello again everyone. There is a fab new challenge on over at Polkadoodles and we want you to make "anything but a card" and I'm on an Altering roll again!!!
Here is my Altered xmas tin...
All of my papers are from the adorable Home for Christmas CD. I have combined stunning browns and blues. My cute Gingerbread topper is also from the CD as are my cute square tickets.
I have used Martha Stewart punches for the snowflakes along the top of my tin and the doily border along the bottom. My teal flower lace is from my stash. I have edged all my digi elements in vintage photo ink.
For the lid of my tin I have added some flowers from WOC and Kort & Godt with a butterfly from E crafts (apologies for the bluishness of my photo here!) I have also given everything the crackle paint treatment.
I hope you can join us for the anything but a card challenge, we can't wait to see your makes.
Thanks for coming by my blog.

Saturated Canary - Alter something

Good afternoon friends! I hope everyone is well out there! We are keeping busy as anything during half term, it seems crazy that all the kids up here are off this week but most kids aren't off until next week? I always thought it fell at halloween too, oh well!
It's challenge time again over at Saturated Canary and we have the fab challenge of "alter something". Well you all saw my altered tin this morning so I must be on a recycling roll in my house lol! Here is my altered notebook..
This is going to be winging it's way to another friend for a Pay it Forward Rak. I have sent off 4 this year and with this it will be 5 with just 2 more to go (better get my skates on!) I have used these stunning Tilda papers which include the pretty page of tickets, one of which I have used at the top of the book. My fab flowers are WOC, my lace is LLC and my stunning butterfly is from a brand new range at Kays Kreative Korner.
Here I have merged 2 of Krista's stunning images (ooo get me and the merging lately lol!) This is one of the fab little cottage digis that krista has released and I have layered over Patches the fairy as I just adore her! I have used prisma pencils to colour the full image and have added some vintage postage stamps around the edge from Kaiserkraft in Victorian Velvet ink.
I have great fun making notebooks and really think I should do a recipe orientated one next time! I just love giving these as gifts but I need to find some more stock of the little ones I can only seem to find these A5 ones at the mo and I loved making the mini ones too!
Don't forget to join us and Alter something using a Saturated Canary digi or Rubber stamp or a Simply Sassy rubber!
Thanks for coming by my blog again!
Much love to you all

Getting "spooked" at Divas by Design

Hello there everyone! There is a new challenge over at Divas by Design this week and it is "spooked" so we want to see your halloween makes for this one!
I made an Altered tin..
Can you believe this was just an old bean before I got my hands on it?!
I made an altered tin a little while back for at Pay it Forward RAK and loved it so when I saw that Lou over at Dies to Die for was challenging us to make an altered tin I thought I would jump in and have a go and as we were getting Spooky at Divas why not combine the 2!!
I have used Tim Holtz Shabby Chic papers and this fab TGF Madden image available at Dies to Die for which I have coloured with prisma pencils.
Here on the other side of the tin you can see this cute printable chalk board which I found on Pinterest and downsized for printing! I have tied my papers around the tin with some twine for a distressed look and have added this stunning double winged butterfly from Kays Kreative Korner (just love these!) My cute charms in the middle are from my stash.
I have of course added some obligatory flowers (how could I not!) which are (along with my jute) from WOC. My foam spiders are from my stash and my leaves have been cut with a Mariannes Die.
I do hope you can get spooky with us at Divas there is a fab prize from stamp and create up for grabs and why not join in with this altered tin challenge too!
Thanks for coming by my blog friends!

Midweek Magnolias Layers

Hi everyone!
It's a busy half term here in our house, the kids are all off school and today is going to be baking day so I'm just popping in quickly with my card for the new challenge over at Midweek Magnolias and that is Lots of Layers (this is not a hardship for me!)
I've made another Christmas card for the pile, I still don't think I will ever have enough though! I honestly can't tell you where my papers are from either, I found them in my Xmas stash and loved the vintage feel but have no idea where they are from (sorry!) I have also used gauze, doily lace, Tim Holtz film strip and ticket to add to my layers. My flowers are WOC and my foliage die cuts Mariannes.
My sweet Magnolia image has been coloured with prisma pencils and I have used some LOTV postage stamps around the edge in vintage photo ink. My sentiment circular stamp is also magnolia and everything has had the white crackle paint treatment.
I do hope you can join us for the chance to win an awesome prize from Magnolia in Sweden!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again everyone!
Big hugs

Crafts too Christmas festivities What it means to you

Hi everyone, we are continuing our Christmas festivities theme over at Crafts too this moth with our second twist of "What Christmas means to you". Christmas means lots of different things to me... Family, kids, Magic and Traditions. But also I am a huge fan of handmade gifts and of course food. I will plan my whole xmas week menu with lots of homemade meals and goodies that I relish in making including gingerbread stuffing on xmas day to have with the turkey and the kids love choc chip and chorizo chilli on xmas eve with possibly some cornbread on the side!
So I made something that I not only love to eat but also love to give as gifts to neighbours, teachers and family.
This is my xmas Chutney packed with yummy fruits. I have used xmas paper napkins to cut for the skirt over the lid and  made a tag with a memory box die and a waltzingmouse stamp. I have used a Mariannes snowflake die and some crafts too sparkly card stock to make a snowflake finished with a flower button and some twine.
I lightly inked around the edges of my tag in vintage photo ink and I have created little chalkboard labels using adhesive chalk board roll and a chalk pen for a traditional homemade feel.
We hope you can join us with your projects and let us know what Christmas means to you.
Thanks for coming by

Halloween at Polkadoodles

Hi everyone! Well it's spooky challenge over at Polkadoodles and Studio 12 today and we are all using the great Witchie Wiitchie download available from Polkadoodles for our fun creations. I have made 3 treat bags for my 3 kiddies.
These are just simple circular creations made on doilies, then folded over and stapled to cellophane bags for yummy treats, I made something a little similar for last valentines. My papers and sentiments are all from the download with such brilliant colours.
I used a nellie snellen die to cut around the edge for the sentiment and some funky Mariannes ribbon in just the right autumnal colours for the bow on the top. I have inked all my edges in black.
The kiddies always go trick or treating but we always start them off with something from us, and then they inevitably come back to trick or treat at our own house anyway!
Thanks for coming by my blog again, I hope you can join us for the spooky challenge!

Saturated Canary Seasons greetings

Hi everyone sorry I'm a bit late with this today, I have had a poorly boy off school now! It never rains but it pours here! The trouble is when caleb runs a temp & has a hacking cough it normally results in him having trouble breathing. So I have had an extra little pair of hands with me today!
On to my card for the new challenge over at Saturated Canary this week which is Seasons greetings. You can choose whatever season you like be it Christmas, Halloween, thanksgiving etc
I have gone with Christmas using these fab papers I got free with a magazine during the last festive season. My lace is from LLC, my flowers are from WOC, my foliage has been cut with a Marriannes die, my sentiment is Waltzing mouse & my butterfly is from Kay's.
My sweet image is one of 5 images available on a CD for digital crafting essentials magazine on sale Oct 17th, they are so cute so you have to grab that magazine for them! I have coloured her with prisma pencils & used LOTV Christmas postage stamps around the edge in vintage photo ink.
Do check out the stunning creations from the rest of the team this time and we hope to see you joining us!
Thanks for coming by my blog!

New challenges at Midweek Magnolias and Divas by Design

H friends how are you all? It's a bit crazy in our house at the moment. My eldest daughter isn't enjoying school at all and wants to be home schooled. I highly commend those that do this and see great benefits from it, however it isn't something I ever envisaged doing! On further research it does interest me  and I do think she would benefit from it, I am unsure how I could fit anything more into my already busy day though! Anyway I have a meeting with the head teacher at high school today to discuss our options for her happy future. It would mean some major lifestyle changes for me if I took up this option and I'm unsure how my other 2 kiddies would feel about it right now!
Anyway I have made a card, a commissioned one actually which is for both my DT challenges at Midweek Magnolias and Divas by Design. At MM we are being inspired by a song and this is inspired by BABY by (dare I say it) Justin Beiber , No I'm not a fan it was just an appropriate song! The theme over at Divas by Design is 3 or more layers, never really a hardship for me!
I have used Tim Holtz shabby chic papers, a nesties die to frame my image, joy crafts butterfly edge die, flowers from WOC and Kort & Godt, with much the rest of it coming from my stash.
My image is this beautiful Magnolia one coloured with prisma pencils. I have edged in vintage photo DI using a stempelglede stamp. My frame has been given the crackle paint and shabby blue frantage treatment.
I do hope you can join us for these great challenges this time!
Thanks for coming by my blog.

Christmas festivities - Scene at Crafts too

Hi everyone, I'm a bit late today  with my DT post for Crafts too Challenge you. I've been working as per the norm and had kids off school this week to keep me occupied so apologies again!
For this month at Crafts too we want you t make something for the Christmas festivities with a twist for the first 2 weeks of creating a scene.
I'm not really big into creating scenes lol but this is what I came up with! I have used Joy crafts papers from my crafts too pack along with a Mariannes foliage die, flowers and lace from WOC, butterfly from Kays and this cute snowman border die from crafts too.
I have merged 2 digi images for my scene, the first one, the background is a make it crafty digi stamp and then I have layered this Saturated Canary Nikki stamp over the top. I have coloured with prisma pencils and have added snow tex to the tops of my trees and the snowy areas for effect.
Do check out the lovely scenes created by the rest of my teamies and you have a whole month to enter but there will be another twist in 2 weeks!
