Fairies and Fantasy

Hi everyone! Well I am off to the races today, let's hope the weather stays dry! It's an annual thing we do with friends and we always have a good day.
I am showing you a card today that is for the new challenges over at Stampin for the weekend (fairies and fantasy) and also at A creative Romance (fairytales and wings)
I've made this into a christmas card as it has plenty of sparkle and a few added snowflakes to make it a bit more festive! I have used Tim Holtz Shabby chic papers along with flowers from Prima and WOC, my stunning embroidered butterflies are little snippets and my sentiment is LOTV, the colours are much softer than this in reality it looks a bit blueish in these photos despite white balancing!
I have used this stunning Princess of my life Digi from non other than my very talented teamie at ACR Alberto, isn't she cute? I love her because she is so unique. His images have a wonderful European feel about them and are unlike anything else on the market right now. I have coloured her with prisma pencils and added lots of glamour dust sparkle and liquid pearls. She is available at Whimsy.
Do check out both the challenges, there are 2 wks to enter and all of the teams have made some beautiful creations for your inspiration!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again.

New challenge at Polkadoodles and studio 12

Good morning everyone and happy Friday to you all!
Well I am back with a festive card for you today for the new challenge over at Polkadoodles and this time it's the challenge of more than 1 fold, well things like that just scare me! I can do it but I'm so used to my plain square cards that when I'm asked to do shaped or fancy ones it just throws me off balance!
So I made another one of those fabby criss cross cards and I have used all my fab elements from the wonderful Angelberry Christmas CD. I have printed off the pretty polkadot papers and this wonderful image and even that cute bingo card are all part of the collection on the CD. My flowers are from LLC and WOC with my pretty butterfly coming from the wonderful Kays Kreative Korner.
Although this image can be printed pre coloured I have printed her off as a digi stamp so I could colour her in my chose colours of pink and lilac with a hint of teal blue. I have inked all my edges with victorian velvet ink and used a nestabilities frame to mount the image.
Here is the inside with a simple sentiment from the CD and also these cute tree embellishments also printed from the CD, the lace is from my stash.
Do check out the stunners from the rest of the team, there are a multitude of fancy folded cards and creations over there, such brilliant inspiration and you have the chance to win a brilliant halloween kit if you join in with us this time!
Thanks for coming by my blog again friends.
Big hugs

Crafts too challenge you Texture - Shiny/glittery

Hi everyone, it's the 4th week of our texture challenge over at crafts too challenge you and we are still keeping with our twist of add something shiny/glittery to your projects..
I have a commissioned wedding card for my creation. The wedding is in tropical climbs and I was to use the vibrant colours of pink, orange and lilac so a bit out of tradition really!
My texture is in the form of many things here like cheesecloth, jute, ribbon, wood, metal etc and I have also embossed one of my many layers with a crafts too embossing folder. My shiny elements are my metal tags and charms and I have a glittery element in my butterfly with added sparkle.
My jute and some flowers are from WOC, My wooden ticket is prima and my butterfly is from Kays.
My wonderful image is this stunning couple from Tiddlyinks, which I have coloured with prisma pencils and have added a stempelglede flourish stamp to the edges in victorian velvet ink. I have also added some seashells into my flower arrangement as they are having a beach wedding in Jamaica.
Do check out the stunning textured creations from my teamies with the added twist this time"
Thanks for coming by my blog.
Big hugs everyone

Saturated canary paper piecing

Hi everyone!
I'm sorry I'm just not being much of a blogger lately, in fact I'm not doing as much crafting as I normally do at all. I'm not really happy with what I'm making and I'm not entirely sure why!
I am doing lots of hours at work (gotta get the pennies in for xmas!) and there always seems to be so much to do around the house! Possibly I'm just being a bit dis organised and letting things get on top of me a wee bit!
Anyway I did what most crafters do in this situation, I bought a few more little digi images last night (it feels like ages since I've bought anything) so hopefully that will stir my creativity into action!
In the mean time it's challenge time again at Saturated Canary and we have a great challenge of paper piecing for you! I always think this is a fab idea as there is less colouring to do which is less time consumming lol but then there is all that fiddly cutting out to do..
So how about a spooky halloween card?! This fast food fly by new digi from Krista is just so cute and I loved using these fab echo park papers to spruce her up! I also used some Waltzing mouse stamps, a prima butterfly and flowers and jute from WOC.
I coloured the rest of her with pencils. Try not to look too close to the right hand side of her face where there is a partially stamped out bat! I was stamping the bats into the corner of the image and one still slightly inked found its way on to the image ggrrr no time to correct that though! The striped papers on her dress and hat are paper pieced and all the green bits have been coloured.
Do check out the awesome creations from the rest of the team with this great paper piecing challenge and we hope you can join us too!
Thanks for coming by my blog

Polkadoodles bunting Home for Christmas

It's time to show you another make with this fab Home for Christmas CD from Polkadoodles.
I wanted to show the versatility of this CD, yes you can print off uncoloured digis and match them up with fab papers from the CD like I normally would, but you can also print off pre templated cookie boxes like I blogged yesterday, or gift card envelopes and pyramage sheets.
You could also make a card sentiment focused like I also blogged yesterday, or you could create your own digi scene like some of the DT girls have done. Or maybe you could do something like this...
Here is my Christmas bunting. I have used papers from the CD with the pre coloured images. I have added the embellishments of the Bows and holly also printed from the CD and my hanging baubles are also part of the CD collection.
Here are the snowman and santa pre coloured images, you can also see the layering here of the holly and bow embellies which I have given dimension with foam pads, the letters are stickers I have in my stash and the baubles have been printed on card stock with an added eyelet and have fine chain and jump rings attaching them to the bottom of the bunting.
Here you can see the cute gingerbread and reindeer pre coloured images. I have added red ribbon bows in between each of the flags and there are tiny xmas bells so that the bunting jingles merrily when you hang it! Each of the characters have a little glossy accents on them such as a nose, shoes or bowtie to give them a little extra dimension and I have glittered the cardstock matting layers.
Thanks for coming by my blog again and do check out this great festive CD!
Big hugs

C2CU texture and Home for Christmas Polkadoodles

Hi everyone how are you all?!
Well, I'm sure you have all got over the mild changes of iOS 7 and are getting on with your lives lol!
I'm apologising again for my lack of blogging, we are decorating our kitchen and conservatory at the moment so I'm keeping busy in the house too!
I have a couple of little projects to show you today to showcase the new Home for Christmas CD at Polkadoodles and the first, my card, is also my DT project for the current challenge (use texture) at Crafts too challenge you with the added twist of adding glitter/shine to your project.
All my elements on the card are from the Polkadoodles CD, so that is the papers, the cute xmas trees and the stunning sentiment as my focus. I have punched out my flowers from the same papers too.
My textured elements are my cheesecloth and my embossed cardstock which I have used my Crafts too embossing folder on and have enhanced that with crackle paint. My glittery elements are my stickles glitter to my cardstock matting, the edges of my xmas trees and my frantage around the sentiment.
I have used Mariannes chinese rolled rose die to create these beautiful rolled roses in the matching colours with dew drop centers from Polkadoodles. I have also used Mariannes foliage die to create the kraft leaves with lots of picket fence crackle paint on them.
I'm not normally a fan of sentiment as a focus cards as I'm such an image fan but this is just one of the many fabulous sentiments on the CD and I just loved it and think it makes a stunning xmas card without any image.
I have also created this cute cookie box from the CD. The template comes ready to cut in different background papers with matching tags and this is such a pretty snowy scene.
All I have added is some stamped words to the tag, a pretty ribbon with a mariannes die cut snowflake in sparkly glitter cardsock and a twine tied button with a snowflake charm, a perfect and super easy gift box just right for a cookie!
Do check out what my other teamies at C2CU have made this week and do check out this stunning CD from Polkadoodles, there is another make to show you tomorrow too!
Thanks for coming by my blog!

This is a birthday card for my hubby from the kids. This adorable image is one of Emma Cannings at Polkadoodles and the fab papers are from the Picknix CD rom from Polkadoodles, I have printed from the heavenly garden section.
I have coloured my image with prisma pencils and have edged in forest moss DI. My celebrate stamp in the corner is from the rubber sentiments collection at Polkadoodles and my other sentiment has been printed off the computer,

New challenges!!!

Yes my vague title post is because I am cross DTing work here  for 3 different DTs, well I have another DT post going up today and I figured 4 projects in one day would just be a blog overload!!! Also it's damage limitation on my lack of crafting time too!
So here goes...
Over at Crafts too challenge you we are continuing our texture challenge with show us your style. At A creative Romance we want to see you use your die cuts and or punches and at Stampin for the weekend we have the theme of Back to school (phew!)
So I have created a back to school notebook for my daughter who has just started high school. I have used a textured crafts too embossing folder over my yellow card stock on the main base of my book and I have continued my style theme of layers. The die cuts I have used are my memory box scroll die and my nesties tag die.
I have used this wonderful "beautiful world" digi from saturated Canary who are sponsoring SFTW this time and I have coloured her with prisma pencils and added shabby green frantage to the edge of the image for more texture. I also have textured elements in my embroidered bees from little snippets.
Do check out the different teams creations for all these challenge blogs, there are some super stunners out there and please join in for a chance to win at a prize! A creative romance are super lucky to be sponsored by the ribbon girl this time!
Thanks for coming by my blog again everyone!

Saturated Canary Shabby chic

Hello again friends! It's challenge time again at the saturated canary challenge blog and we have a darling theme this time of shabby chic! Here is my card..
I have quite aptly used the stunning shabby chic papers from Tim Holtz, my pretty flowers are mostly WOC, there is a pretty bird nestled in the flowers at the top and a prima wooden clock in the flowers at the bottom. There is a tonne of shabby white frantage all over the card and white crackle paint too
My beautiful image is one of the new release Saturated canary stamps in rubber at Little Darlings, I have coloured her with prisma pencils and have added some sparkle in the form of glamour dust to her dress.
Do check out the stunning creations from the rest of the talented team for this awesome challenge!
We would love for you to join us, using a saturated canary Digi or rubber stamp or a simply sassy rubber stamp designed by Krista.
Thanks so much for popping by my blog again friends
Big hugs

Midweek Magnolias Autumnal colours

Hi everyone! Hope you are all well out there!
I'm really hoping I can get by and visit you some more soon! My laptop has been a big pile of poop to say the least! Hence I've not been able to come by and post many comments so I'm sorry! It seems that some anti virus software that my hubby bought just simply didn't get on with my laptop and if it wasn't running slow, crashing or not responding then it was simply just giving up! So I have managed to get all technical and do a full system destruct (ooo get me!) taking it back to the factory settings, which does mean lot of putting software back in of course but I have bought my own anti virus (good old norton) at a fraction of what hubby paid for the other stuff and now I hope (fingers crossed) that it is all back to normal!
So it's challenge time again at Midweek Magnolias and yep I'm a bit late but I blame the laptop lol!
It's an autumnal colour theme and I just adore all these warm browns, oranges and yellows and I can be assured that summer has run away screaming from my house as it's brrrrr cold now!
I have used MME papers with lace, flowers and rose binding from WOC, berries from LLC and beautiful butterfly from Kays (whose shop is back open and I think I better apologise to my bank right now!)
I love these sweet Tilda she is adorable and I have coloured her with prisma pencils. I have edged in vintage photo DI and have used a Tim Holtz post card stamp and stempelglede flourish stamp around the edge.
Do check out the stunners from the rest of the team for this fab challenge and do join us for a chance to win an awesome prize from Magnolia!!!
Thanks for coming by everyone,
Big hugs

C2CU Texture - Your style

Hello everyone!
It's a new challenge month over at Crafts too Challenge you and our new theme for the month is TEXTURE with our twist for the first 2 wks as "show us your style"
Well my style is to just bung as much as I can on a card lol! I find it very difficult to have anything less than about 5 or 6 layers deep and as for minimising my embellishments, well you have come to the wrong place!!! So lets jut say my sytle is layered and embellished! Here I have used Bazill basics papers with flowers from WOC and Crafts too, Butterflies from Kays Kreative Korner, bottle from 7 gypsies filled with micro beads, Wish Ticket from Tim Holtz and Cherish Ticket from Whimsy. I have added textural elements in my cheesecloth and have embossed my kraft cardstock with a crafts too embossing folder and enhanced with white crackle paint.
My gorgeous image is the lovely Breeze, one of the new Saturated Canary stamps in rubber from Little Darlings. I have coloured her with prisma pencils and placed her on a nesties frame.
Here you can see all the 3 dimensional elements and added texture. Do check out what the rest of the team have made and why not show us your style with texture for a chance to win a prize!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog
Massive hugs
