Fall 2009

It has been a VERY busy fall for us Bernis up in Minnesota. Here is the months of October & November in pictures!!Emma having a great time playing in the leaves...took a little longer than Jay anticipated to get them all raked up with Emma's "help."Then a week later we had SNOW!!! It was not even Halloween yet and there was snow on the ground already!Dressed in their extra warm jammies!Emma's 1st "real school" picture as a kindergartner!!Emma getting her first big girl x-rays at the dentist!Halloween party for Emma's kindergarten class.Jimmy playing some tunes for us. Our biggest little Tiger fan! WAR EAGLE!!Jimmy is 11 months old and getting SO big. We had to drop the mattress down in his crib since he is now pulling up on anything and everything in sight and crawling EVERYWHERE! He has just the sweetest personality and is always SO happy.Emma's teacher sent home a cutout turkey home with each of the kids....their job was to dress it up so that he/she did not look like a turkey anymore. So she decided t0 make hers an Auburn Cheerleader. Thank goodness I had some AU fabric to use and all those shakers from our college days were down in the playroom so we even made the turkey some pom poms! WAR EAGLE!Jimmy all bundled up to go run errands. Poor kid cannot hardly move in his car seat. He reminds me of the little brother on A Christmas Story - "I can't out my arms down!"

All Dressed Up!

We had a wedding to go to this past Saturday afternoon/night. The head coach of the Apple Valley lacrosse team got married. Jay is the goalies coach along side of Ben. So we got the kids all dressed up since it was a kid friendly wedding. They even had a separate room for the kids to eat in as well as a movie and glow sticks, etc. for them to play with. To say Emma had a great time would be an understatement. She was asleep in the car before we even got out of the parking garage. Jimmy was a trooper and made it the entire evening...with the exception of taking a little cat nap while we ate dinner.
So I just had to take a picture of the handsome men in my life. Jay and his clone Jimmy. Don't they look cute in their matching outfits???

Mimi & Papa's Visit

Mimi and Papa were able to come up for Emma's birthday this year. Emma was so excited to see them. Aunt Tiffany, Uncle Eddie, Lauren and Maddie had gotten Emma an American Girl doll for her birthday so that warranted a trip up to the Mall of America American Girl store to outfit her and get the dolls ears pierced. Of course we had to stop by the Lego store and pose in front of some Star Wars man and to spend the money that GG (Jay's grandmother) had sent her. Baking cookies with Mimi. Emma LOVES to bake with her Mimi and her Nana.
Jimmy has started sitting in his high chair finally. So Mimi attempting to feed him his dinner.
We really enjoyed our visit with them and can't wait for them to come back again soon!
