went to watch richmond's team play ... aiyoh ... they totally spoiled my image of tong huai ...ok erm .. tong huai is a very reputable basketball team throughout the junior and senior level in the local basketball scene .. they are non-professionals ..but they sure play some kickass basketball ... BUT .. zhenwei would be disappointed to see his juniors play like that ... not organised... no teamwork ...point guards that cant control the ball ...centres with butter fingers .. the most pathetic full court press i have seen in my whole life ... eugene and myself were bitching about the team during the whole game ... at least richmond played well ... i'll be surprised if they can beat siglap ...most probably they can forget about beating combine schools ... might not even meet them ...

oh yah ... spurs just won the NBA finals ... yeah ... robert horry has got 6 rings now ...

yupe... was steven's birthday over the weekend... the usual stuff... meet up for dinner at his place ... got him a die cast model of a beetle ..as in the car .. since he just got the real thing ... might as well get him one of the same colour to display in his car ... but the girls ... dunno what they doing ... i mean .. they really go there and show face only .. what the hell ... and i guess they don't really wanna mix around .. so how ? i follow lor ... they left quite early too ... so how ? i follow lor ... haizz ... Holidays ... i just cant slack enough ... haha ... eh wat wat ... this is like the only true long break that i have since ... poly ? coz i spent all my NS leave just so i can start school at SIM ... yah .. while my frens are spending their leave getting a break from NS .... im dragging myself to school ... but its not like im complaining ...oh yah n we dun have december breaks .. so yah ... but most probably gonna start helping out my cousin next week ... so what do i do when im at home ? i watch TV ... lots of TV .. took some pics of commercials that i though was pretty amusing ... first up .. KFC .. with their O.R. burger or something ... the guy was complaining to the guards he lost his car ... but apparently he's more concerned about the burger IN his car ... check out the guards' expressions when they saw that guy fantasizing about his burger ...classic...

this commercial is about HL's new banana flavoured milk ...yes the cow actually dances ...i think the only thing that goes well with milk is chocolate ... i don't like all the rest ... simi green tea milk ah ..papaya milk ah ... and this banana milk ... whats next man .. durian ?!? yes im anti milk fusion ...next to it is this halls commercial saying that there are better ways to cool down ... it started with the polar bear shaving itself ... a hairless polar bear ... how cool is that !??! look at the paws ... its like it's wearing shoes .. ahha

and finally ... patricia mok dress in a wonder woman suit holding a banana skin (wats with the bananas these days man )... nuff said ... and TV wouldn't be complete without denise keller ... dunno why .. i just have to put her beside wonder woman ....

yah ... i went over to JB on wedsnesday ... with geoffrey, jaihui and tricia ...the two girls are geoff's classmates .. i think ? .. didnt sleep well the previous nite .. resulting in me having to drag myself all over the place ... the food !!! cheap .. dirt cheap !!! ... geoff brought us to this place that i thought was really cool ... its open air ... malay concept of alfresco chill out place ..?? yah .. they have .. erm i dunno wat u call them .. tree houses ??... little huts all over the place ..and theres live music !!! really nice and cosy ... if only they play lounge music .. ha .. ok heres the 1st picture that i took with geoff since i knew him ... neo-prints not counted ... yes i know ...we took ONE neo-print .. youth would be a good excuse ..

i remembered when i was young .. i used to bug my parents for a younger sibling ...like a younger sister ..(i have no plans of sharing toys with a younger brother) just so that i'll have someone to play with ... coz my sister is 7 years older than me ...big generation gap yah ..i was thinking that if i really were to have a younger sister .. she would then most probably be around 21 or 22 ..? yah like tricia's and jaihui's age ... talkative maybe ? bugs me for favours like what i did to my sis ? hogs my comp for hours ? takes my stuff and never to return ? shares gossip about her frens n bitches about how tough school was ? complains to mum about how i always bully her ? ha .. yah watever ..looking at the girls kind of rekindled the thought ....

during the trip i was constantly reminded of how long it has been since i last stepped into a church ... on and off the topic would switch towards churches ..services ..sermons ... grace ... yes grace .. i used to say it ... but not anymore ... all these seems very distant to me ... maybe im lazy ... or worse ... maybe i've lost faith...

a few weeks ago i overheard a fren saying that he'll never be a christian ...he says that the religion is getting so commercialised that it would never appeal to the lower income families ... he asked if the lower income families would really be accepted by their richer counterparts .. i really dunno how to answer him ... it isn't about religion anymore ... this might just be a social problem... what happens to those that were not given a chance to get to know God ? .. will they be accepted in heaven ? how far away from heaven are they ? how far away from heaven am i ?

heres a map of Jerusalem showing how the city is divided into quarters ... and sites that are of great christian significance ... why is Jerusalem important to the christians ? just look at the map ... oh yah ... the tomb of Virgin Mary is there too...

the pic on the right is the Citadel, or David's Tower, the probable site of Jesus' condemnation... can check out the location on the map ... It is now the Museum of the History of Jerusalem.

and theres the Gordon's Calvary or Golgotha the site of the crucifixion of Jesus.

ok ... so why is Jerusalem a holy ground for the muslims ? .. apparently ...Muhammed ascended from Jerusalm .. the dome of rock specifically... to heaven to be in the presence of Allah...he was welcomed by all the great prophets of the past before ascending through the seven heavens. On his way up he sought the advice of Moses, Aaron, Enoch, Jesus, John the Baptist and Abraham before entering the presence of God...

when the Prophet Muhammad first began to preach in Mecca in about 612, according to the earliest biographies, he had his converts prostrate themselves in prayer in the direction of Jerusalem. They were symbolically reaching out toward the Jewish and Christian God, whom they were committed to worshipping, and turning their back on the paganism of Arabia...

the main characters in the show kingdom of heaven really does exist yah ... but the one that caught my attention has to be Saladin ...

when he captured the city of Jerusalem ...unlike the Christian capture of Jerusalem almost a hundred years earlier, there is no mass slaughter - merely debates about whether Christian shrines should be destroyed to take away Christian pilgrims' reason for returning to Jerusalem.
