batam ....

hop over to batam island over the weekend ...
well ...theres really nothing much over there ...
stayed at batam view beach resort which wasnt too bad ...
but didnt really like the fact that we had to pay everything in SGD ...
anyhows ... i guess the highlight of the trip for me has got to be the following two contenders ,,,

the all american root beer !

i missed it so !















and of course J CO donuts ...

forgive me ... im singaporean ...
when i see donuts ... i have to queue for it ...

bought the drink and got the donut for free !
how cool is that !

i is very busy/ lazy

good lord ! 1st blog entry of 2008 happens on the 27th of March !!!!
i is very lazy ....

So ... where do i start ... since the turn of the year, its been nothing but work ... work ... and work ...
nothing really interesting happened. Even if there was ... i would have forgotten.
But i really have to admit that i've learned lots in the world of office politics ....

The blatant and very much shameless carrying of balls, shooting of arrows, tai-chi-ing of work and not to forget the all time favourite of all, bloody back-stabbing.
Anyhows, pretty much used to it... guess its part and parcel of working in a bank....
but the good news is, despite all this shit going on... i got a pay raise yeah ! and bonus yeah yeah !
too bad bonus is pro-rated (Boooo...). if not would have been a nice sum. Not too bad for someone that has worked less than a year....

convocation is next week... somehow not very excited about it. But i guess after paying so much for the degree, i have to go through the motion. I mean, how many times do u get to wear that ugly hat and go upstage right ? im just glad that i don't have to work that day.

ok time to sign-off. will try to blog more often....oh yah, i got a new watch from my sister !!!! Hohohohoh .... it always good to have an elder sister ....

i so want to work across the street .....















recently went to bloomberg for a short training...
never really learn anything ... but well ... always nice to have a break from office ...
even if its just across the street... will always pounce on any chance to go to the bloomberg office ...
reason being ... everything is so damn nice ...
the office layout ... the aquariums .... and of course the damn pantry .... i mean ... who wouldn't want to work here !?!??!?
even the fishes look happy .....freedom to swim in the open sea? nope ... im sure they wanna stay in the bloomberg fish tank ...













the bloody pantry ... u see !!!! with a pantry like this ... who would wanna leave bloomberg ... they have 1.5 litres pack of Florida's natural !!!!
im damn bitter can ... why ....why ... WHY !!! why they have to kick me out on the 4th interview ...!!!
bitter... bitter ...
anyway ... the highlight of the day was ... i got my hands on steven gerrard's work number ... ha....

Welcome to raffles place.....

its amazing what a pack of tissue can do.
marking of territory included.














funny how a pack of tissue can empower you as the rightful owner of that pathetic little spot while your away savaging for food.
dogs pee on spots. Singaporeans? we leave our tissue packs on the tables.
wondered why STB left this out as something thats "Uniquely Singapore"
i don't suppose you can find this anywhere else right?

im not complaining by the way... more than happy to adhere to the rules of the urban jungle.
Its a really simple concept, similar to that of the animal kingdom.

Dog A pees on lamp post. lamp post belongs to Dog A.
Dog B comes along and smells Dog A's smells Dog A's territorial markings i.e. pee on lamp post. Dog B backs off and looks for new lamp post.

But ... heres the problem... tissues packs are so commonly found everywhere. Just how are you gonna differentiate one from the other?

Im just waiting for someone to tell me that the tissue pack on the table that i left earlier on belongs to him.

for obvious reasons, peeing on the table/chair/tissue pack is not recommended. But im quite sure it will work.

theres so much things that i want to talk about .... but i can only keep it as an unpublished entry ... only to publish happy moments .... lame moments .... maybe it's because i ... like anyone else ... wants to have a perfect life with no problems .... or maybe i want to make people perceive that i have a smooth sailing life ... or maybe i want to protect love ones from unnecessary scrutiny ....

i'll still blog about happy moments .... so that maybe when i look back ... i wouldnt remember the bad ones .... im beginning to hate my blog ... its so superficial ... just like my life ...

ATB.....

his set is pretty good... as of what i would expect from him....
the best part about his set was that he can really get the crowd going ....
and he is really a true entertainer .... but van dyk is still the best !
