It's Friday and time for another Queen to be crowned on Splitcoaststampers. She is Crystal aka crystalkbk. I'm sure many of you are familiar with her work. I chose a card to case from her gallery that was easy peasy as I have little time today. I wanted to make a Christmas card ...time is getting shorter and shorter to get those made. I am using an embossing folder that I just decided today I liked better than I thought. It has so much texture and pretty designs.
Can't wait to get my new camera ( I mentioned in my last post) up and going. The next thing I need is a light studio..oh, so much to do, want, and need. LOL
Recipe:
Stamp: Stampin'Up! - Gifted
Paper: Stampin'Up! Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White cardstock, SU Jolly Holiday dsp
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: silver cording from Bead Party, Cuttlebug embossing folder (Ornament Collection)
That's it...such an easy card!!!!

Harvest Home, StampinB, Kaboodle Doodles, The Stamp Man
It's another challenge for the Stampin B's Design Team and the challenge is to use Fall colors..rusts, browns, golds, etc. The colors are beginning to change in my part of the southern U.S. but not quite there yet. Actually, we need some rain to get all the splendid Fall colors we want. It is very dry here and I am really tired of watering. Ugh!
My card is for two other challenges: Kaboodle Doodles #41- Color Challenge to use the colors you see around you and use something that celebrates that color. Fall is all around and getting better everyday.
Below is a photo of some of the Fall colors I see around my area. The bottom one is a crape myrtle in my yard. I have 4 of those down my driveway and they look as if they are on fire when the sun shines on them. The other two are some I see when I drive around my city. This pic was taken last year as they're not quite there yet this year. But the inspiration is there for my card.
The Stamp Man Challenge Blog #7 - Autumn
I went out yesterday and bought a new camera. Of course, the one I bought was not in stock and I am driving two hours tonight to get it. I didn't want to wait a week for it to arrive. I'm really excited about it and will now have to fill my time learning to use it. It is a Nikon D90 SLR. I think there will be more to learn about it than my Sony Cybershot I am using now. Once I get the hang of it, I think I'll be fine. I am hoping it will be good for my cards, nature photos, sweet babies, ..love to take photos of birds, too. Wish me luck!

Christmas Joy - QFTD30, Speedy's Friends
I've been in the craft room all afternoon trying to get some challenge cards made. I am entering my card into two challenges: Marks Finest Papers-Speedy Friend's challenge #24 and also QFTD30.
This week on Splitcoaststampers, the Queen for the Day is Lori aka MelodyGal. I used her design for my card and changed the image and dsp. Believe me, I am ready to be catching up on my cards. Going away and enjoying yourself has some pitfalls. LOL

Sympathy-Flower Medley
I am so very far behind as I've been away for a week and I'm trying to play catch up now. On Splitcoaststampers, a week ago, a new Queen For the Day was crowned...Holly aka KopyKat. I
needed a sympathy card so I took that route and am using a new stamp I bought on Saturday
at Michael's. I really love the stamp but it is a bit hard to get the good background ink coverage
I wanted. I had not meant to use any more flower cards until Spring but I really loved this one
and thought it would be a good image for a sympathy card so I plunged ahead with it.
I am entering this card also into two challenges: Stamps R Us challenge #6 to use an All Nature Theme.
Also, For Fun Challenges to use something you've never used before. I am using a stamp I bought Friday at Michael's and this is the first time using it.
