Nate's Musical and Awards!
Nate had his Kindergarten Musical and Awards on Tuesday! Nate had a blast performing and was singing and dancing the whole time! He is such a crack up! After the Musical, we went to his classroom for the class awards...Nate recieved the "Best Dancer" Award because his teacher said if there is anything with a beat or rhythm...Nate is dancing! Nate has had such a great year in Kindergarten! I am so sad he is going to be in 1st Grade next year!!
Ben wraps up 2nd grade!
On the last week of school Ben finally got his Bobcat award at Pack meeting! He earned it a while ago, but with the Pinewood Derby and Blue and Gold Banquet he hadn't received it yet! He really wanted Benson to paint his face! Lucy went up for moral support!
Ben's class had a "Japanese Tea Party" on the last day of school because they had just wrapped up learning about Asia! It was really cute! They had ramen, sushi, little cookies, chop sticks and they all made their own kimonos! Ben's award for the year was the "Super Smiler" award because he is always smiling! When Ben got his award his class was chanting "Benny Boy! Benny Boy!" It was pretty funny!
A funny story about Ben.... I have no pictures of this, but Ben really doesn't enjoy reading for A.R. and has struggled to make his goal every quarter! With about a week and a half left in the quarter, Ben still need ed to take about 7 tests and was averaging about 2 a week...so I really didn't know if he would be able to do it! I told him that if he made his A.R. goal we would let him watch the movie "THOR" {Ben is really into superheroes and he hadn't seen any of the "Avengers" movies}...the next day Ben took 7 tests! I couldn't believe it! All this time...glad we finally found some motivation for him!
Sammy's end of 4th Grade
Sammy is a "Gilbert Golden Scholar" which means she received all A's for the year {I think thats what it means at least}! The school put on a cute little awards ceremony and she received an award and pin from her teacher, Miss Moe.
Sammy was a member of chorus this year and they put on a play called "Harmony High" which was set in the 50's! Sammy was so excited for this play and had lots of fun practicing the songs and dances! She also had quite a few lines she needed to memorize! She is never afraid to go up in front of a crowd! She is super brave!
On the last week of school her class had an awards ceremony! She received several awards (for AR reading, grades, etc), but her class voted her the "Most Caring Friend' award!! Her teacher said that she was "so nice to everyone and never says a bad word or mean thing to anyone"! We are so proud of Sammy!!

My Birthday
On May 7th, I turned 32 years old...how did that happen?!? Anyway, I feel old...well, actually I feel young its just that I can't believe I am already 32! I had a fabulous Birthday....lunch with my parents and siblings, a pedicure, yummy dinner, cake and ice cream, and game night with my 5 favorite people! I feel so blessed! Life is good.
Lulu
Oh man, I love Lucy! She has been my little buddy all year while the kids are in school! One day when I went to get her up from a nap she was just resting her head on the side of the crib and I just wanted to squeeze her!
Something she LOVES to do is go pick grass for me...she brings it in to me SO PROUD! She never really picks flowers for me...just weeds and grass!
Every Wednesday she plays with Max! They are best buddies and these two crack me up! I love their dynamic with each other! They never fight...and unfortunatley, Max lets Lucy rule the roost!
She is also really into being a helper and has been really into helping clean up, fold laundry, and cook! She is just too cute for me to not let her...even though it takes me so much longer!
She has been in swim lessons...which she has a love/hate relationship with! She loves to play in the pool...but pretty much doesn't want to do anything she has to do...like put her face in or float on her back! She is getting so much better though and her last lesson she didn't cry! Yay!

Lucy is THREE!!
Before Lucy woke up Sammy, Ben, and Nate mader her some special Birthday tiaras!
All ready for church on her special day! Lucy was so excited for her Birthday and told everyone "its my Birthday" She is so much fun!
That night we had Benson's parents, my parents, and my sister over for a yummy mexican dinner and cake! Lucy loved having all the attention on her for a whole day {well, to be honest, she usually has most of the attention}! She is super into princess right now so I think all of her gifts had something to do with princesses! She is so much fun and we are so happy she is in our family! Happy Birthday Lulu!

Swim Boot Camp
I put the 3 big kids in swim bootcamp for April and May to get ready for Swim team! They loved it, but once we looked at our summer vacation schedule we decided to not do swim team because we would be gone too much! So I guess they did bootcamp to get ready for summer! Sammy did really well with all the strokes and is turning into a really good swimmer! Ben liked swimming and Nate mostly held on to the sides the whole time and his teacher said he really liked watching the girls practice synchro :)
At the end of each practice they got to jump off the high dives! It took Ben a few weeks to get the courage to do it...and Nate and Sammy just jumped right off!
