Finally

Hi Blogger Friends.  I FINALLY finished the stitching on page 3 of the Stable and am almost done with the backstitch on that page.  Hoooorayy!!!!

Several people have mentioned that I am almost done.  Sure wish I was.  I wanted to be done by April 1. That would make it one year.  Not stitching on it for 2 months put me behind.

If you look at the lower left side - there are 16 rows to get to the bottom and 200 rows across.  I think I still have a ways to go.  At least I am enjoying stitching on it again.

Linda's Turtle Trot SAL March Update

Hi Blogger Friends.  It's time for the Turtle Trot SAL.  So much fun.  It is being hosted by Claudette of BAP Attack.  You can read all about it HERE.   You can see who has updated HERE.  I managed to work on all 10 this past month, even though I worked on the last three yesterday.  I WILL learn someday.

1.  Mitten Friends - Diane Arthurs - finished the first mitten and started the second

2.  6 Fat Men - Lizzie Kate - almost done with the snow

3.  Disney Hero's #16 - Alina's xStitch - added about 150 stitches - at this rate its gonna take 20 years

4.  Happy Camper - Diane Arthurs - added more green

5.  Summer Season - Sandra Cozzolino - oh YIPPEE! - I finally finished all the bugs and flowers.

6.  Mermaid Myrna - Diane Arthurs - did more of her hair

7.  Dog Lessons for People - Lizzie Kate - did forgive and the heart

8.  Autumn Season - Sandra Cozzolino - finished the pumpkins

9.  Spring Alphabet - Lizzie Kate - did the letter J

10.  March Sampler - Waxing Moon Designs - finished the swirl

I must have crooked eyes cause when I took the pictures, they looked straight.

I Made Some Progress

Hi Blogger Friends.  I feel like I actually made some progress this week.  Of course, now I'm trying to frantically work on all 10 Turtle Trot pieces by Monday.  (Will I ever learn???)

Stable - Bothy Threads Monday SAL - I did more backstitching on the open door and wall.  Also did some green and started the dog.

Fall Welcome - Diane Arthurs - Saturday SAL - I finished her dress, started the squash and did more backstitching on the basket.

Santa's 12 Days of Christmas - Day 6 - Prairie Schooler - Sunday SAL - I started the geese and did more on the coat.

A chart for the furbabies.  You can read all about it HERE.  The purchases will be donated to animal rescue or animal shelters.  They surprised me with a skein of floss.

I had watched Thoeria stitch this design.  When she finished it, she was kind enough to send it to me.  Thank you Thoeria.  Go check out her awesome stitching.

This was my very first cross stitch piece back in the mid 80's.  Oh how horrible I thought counted cross stitch was.
