First {SuperBowl}

The first year of your first baby's life is full so many magical firsts for everyone in the house.  First Superbowl was no exception.

Talon clearly had to be dressed for the occasion.  Because dressup is NOT just for girls.  With his football jersey on {thanks Aunt Jill & Logan!} Talon was ready to cheer on - everyone.  He didn't have a team of choice for the evening.

My mom and and dad put together quite a Super spread.  It was like every person had their own hankering and so they just made everything.  Two flavors of wings.  Veggie tray.  Marinated cucumbers.  7-layer dip.  Yum salad.  We were all seriously full - we never touched the 2nd half nachos or apples & caramel dessert.

The game was fun.  Nobody in the house was extremely passionate for either team, more for a good game, and after the Beyonce halftime {fab} and the blackout, we all loved the game!

Talon did not care one second about the TV.  He had a little nap, played on the floor, and let people love on him all night.  But as I keep finding out more and more - everything is just a lot sweeter with a babes around.

Talon {7 months}

*I went to the doctor and I weight 18 lbs. 4 oz.  That is only in the 52nd percentile, I don't know why people keep calling me chubby?!  I guess it is just how I carry it.

*I've started to realize that I think it is much cooler when someone sits by me while I play, so if mom, dad, grandma or my babysitter want to go get something done, now I start whining and crying just enough to make them come back.  I have a feeling they are onto me and I might just to whining to myself real soon.

*I haven't developed "stranger anxiety" yet, but {much to my parents delight} tend to prefer them and will reach out for them to grab me.  They seem to think it mighty cute that I know who they are.

*I got all these fantastic toys for Christmas, seriously, TONS of toys.  They hold my attention longer than baby toys with their lights and noises.  Though sometimes I get so caught up in trying to eat the toy, I fall over which just ticks me off.  Mom still isn't quite sure where to put all these big, fun play things and can't quite get a handle on keeping the house neat and tidy.

*I L.O.V.E my Jumperoo {thanks Aunt Nicole and Ashtyn for the loan!}  The other day I bopped up and down and played with the jungle toys for over an hour!  Mom and dad were having a party and dinner with friends and couldn't stop gushing about how perfect I was that night.

*I started eating food with meat in it.  I like food all the time, so I think that stuff it great.

*I haven't had a single tooth pop through yet.  Though everybody seems to blame "teething" for anytime I have a bad day.

*People have mentioned this word...crawl, lately.  I don't know what it means and I really don't feel like doing it either.  Sometimes mom or dad tries to lay me on my stomach and coax me forward, but instead I whine for whatever they put out of my reach until they give up and just give it to me.  I think I am smarter than them.

*This month I discovered my voice and sing to everyone, loudly.  It is all fun and games until I do it at church.
