Christmas Eve Eve
with the Thompson Family
We were so glad that we got to spend Christmas in Utah this year.
We missed being with all of our family last year.
Christmas Eve Eve is the night we spend with the Thompson family up at the Cabin.
The Highlight of the night is Grandpa Santa, the nativity, and getting matching pajamas.
 Jane with Grandpa
She loves everything and anything that has to do with Elmo.
Now that Mimi and Grandpa gave her these cute little Sesame Street stuffed animals
she has taken a real liking to Cookie Monster.
Before nap time she always asks "Elmo? Cookie?"
She insists that they sleep with her for every nap and bedtime.
 Sara and Grandpa
Sara got a Brave Doll and a big Disney Princess coloring book.
Every present Sara got for Christmas she would say,
"It's what I always wanted!"
She is a fun one to shop for because she loves everything!
 Anna Bell with Grandpa
Anna got a new winter outfit for her American Girl.
She didn't want her doll to be cold in all of the winter snow.
I think we all were freezing after living in Arizona weather.
 Ellie with Grandpa
Ellie got a Furby but the highlight was a new book that she had been wanting for months.
She will always be thrilled with a book :)

Christmas Traditions
Our little family has a million Christmas traditions that we love to do each year.
One of the favorites each year is going to see the Temple Christmas lights.
Ellie loves to see all of the Book of Mormon's in all of the different languages.
Anna loves to see all of the nativities.
Sara said her favorite part of going to the temple was seeing the Christus.
When I tucked Sara into bed that night she asked, "Mom, is Jesus going to come see me at my house now that he his alive again?"  Love her.
It always makes for a special night and reminds us what Christmas is truly all about.

Happy Birthday to our little Cubby
To our sweet little 4 year old,
There are a million things that I love about you little Cubby but I think that my favorite is the excitement that you have for everything around you.  You love being a little sister and you are one of the best big sisters around. There are many times when you are doing something funny that I will look at your big sister Ellie and she will have the biggest smile on her face watching you. That is one of your many gifts I believe - making people smile. I love watching you with your baby sister Jane you are the first person she wants to hug every morning.  I love watching you dance around the house sometimes I think you always must have music playing in your little head.  You love to sing and can sing every word to every primary song.  Every morning you have to sing "I like to look for rainbows" and you say, "Jane get ready the song is starting." I love tucking you in at night, you have now decided that you tell me the story for the night.  I always pick an animal and you always want to know their names, it always makes me laugh when you get a pick smile across your face when I name the animals "Sara and Jane".  If I name them "Sara and Jane" you always start the story by telling me that they are "best friends". You have the best imagination. Every morning the first thing I hear at 6:15 am is, "Mom, I have to get started on my homework." It makes me smile every time.  I am so lucky to be your mom.  You have brought so much happiness into our lives since the day you arrived.  We love you sweet Sara.

Halloween
The girls LOVE it when Ben and I dress up with them for halloween.
The morning of Halloween the girls asked if we were going to dress up with them, I couldn't bring myself to say no.
So...while the little girls were taking naps I quickly whipped up my very own poodle skirt.
And as for Ben's costume he just loved getting to carry a comb in his back pocket and being surrounded by all of his little fifties girls.
I think that he likes being the star of the show. :)
