Chiang Rai - Day 2

Our location on the second day was = I don't know. The only thing i knew was we were heading towards Chiang Rai. While we were on the way we visited a few temples and the story flows below.

Pork Knuckles Rice for Breakfast

and Pork Ribs Rice Noodles Soup

Time for another temple

I was amazed and at the same time shocked when i saw them worshipping the Buddha with a Pig's head. Do you see it?

We went up to this temple which was located on top of the hill.

From there look at how does the country of Thailand looks like. I felt so relaxed and green then. Fresh air too unlike those we find it here locally. It looks a bit like the Jelapang Padi in Kedah...hahaha.

We had lunch on the hill in this hut.

These was what we had. Do you see the shit lookalike thing on the bottom right corner? Apparently it's pig's intestines stuffed with pork.

From where we sat while satisfying ourself with food we had this in the background. If only the weather was cool then it would be a great lunch :)

Another temple which i don't know what it calls

The gigantic Sleeping Buddha I've ever seen.

We finally reached Chiang Rai at around 5PM in the evening. We stayed in one of the hotel called Sabai Inn. They offer free internet access tooo...
We then had dinner at one of the best local restaurant that served the best Fried Egg with Radish.

This is the Chiang Rai night Market. Everything is darn cheap. A pair of earring for THB10 and 2 T-shirts for THB99. Amazingly cheap!!

The dog who has purple fur..The owner actually dye them and apparently she (i presume) was so used(maybe bored) to camera flashes that the she sometimes don't feel like posing for a picture. Lansi isn't it?

Tower Glass for Chang Beer. FYI, local Thai beer is called Chang.

Bangkok - Day 1

Day 1
Survanabhumi Airport Bangkok

Interesting...

Not very clear..i was standing too far... let you make the guess

This is the exterior of the airport. Apparently its a low cost airport and tht's why its not painted.

This is the tastiest Fried Chicken on Earth!!!

Roots rooting (ted?) outside the temple.

It's very creative of them by folding these joss papers into this mini tower

This is a famous buddhist temple.

Very nice architecture isnt it? and very goldly

The sun almost sets when we were there.

I didn't climbed up the steep stairs, we used the backdoor

while we were on the way to dinner...amazing thai's sitting on the bike WITHOUT helmets you see. 3 of them!!

We reached the hotel which i duno what name it was and which location it was cus we reached at 11PM. I was too sleepy to bother even. A decent room with TV and fridge costs THB350 per room. Cheap isn't it?

Updates to the rest of my vacation: Day 2 to Day 8 will follow suit soon...

Leaning Tower in Malaysia

is located in Teluk Intan, Hilir Perak (previously know as Teluk Anson)
My father was born in TI. We drove back to his hometown on the 2nd day of CNY.

We had Steamboat and Barbeque on both the nights we were there in TI. My cousin prepared this Yee Sang for a prosperous year. The higher the toss goes the more prosperity comes.

The children can't wait to "lou"

Posing before the tossing. Can you spot me? Those in the pic are my aunties and uncles and cousins and nieces and nephews etc. I have so many relatives and this is just 1/9 of them.

There it is.....Don't think it's for us to eat cus it's mainly for tossing :)

Uncle No.3 took us to this place in "Pan Kang" (in mandarin) on the 3rd day of CNY. See the mini crabs. Those are meant to be thrown into the rubbish dump.

Workers dumping all the fishes to the basket from the blue container full with all kind of fishes, prawns, cuttlefish and all various types of seafood.

Then they started to choose and allocate them into baskets of the same category. Do you see the sting rays?

All the fishes in the basket ready to be distributed to the fish markets everywhere around Malaysia.

4th day of CNY. The traffic looks smooth rite? don't judge too early

See!? That's our fast lane!! They conquer our lane. Well, reason was the journey up north was smooth. Only city goers were having a hard time heading south.

I have 2 more posts to go featuring the Yee Sang CNY dinner sponsored by Dell. One @ Sesame+Soy and one @ Jade Blossom.

Stay tuned..

Happy V Day

Happy V Day to all.... (belated?)

V Day is always the day to express your love to your loved ones and more often than not you wish to spend the particular day with them. Whatever you do whether it's having a simple dinner, catch a movie or spend time talking on the phone for those who is on a LDR. Some may catch a flight back to celebrate this special moment. most impresses the other half by giving them pressies like Flowers, Chocolates and things they could think of.

My V Day was never extraordinary because i had to work and it coincides with the Thin Kong's birthday which falls on the 9th day of the chinese lunar month. So don't get things wrong the flower in the featured picture is a gift to the 'thin kong" :D

Guess something struck my mind. Yesterday i went to catch some movies. We had a movie marathon from 12noon to 7PM.

That's a freaking long not done things in my life. We started off with the show

Kungfu Dunk directed by Jay Chou. I realised the song that i have been listening on My FM with the "tofu""tofu" "kungfu" kungfu" is the soundtrack for this show. gosh man....the first time i heard it i was like what the hell? what kinda stupid song it is? tofu? this show is rather good except the part where the sifus came in to the basketball championship and showed some kungfu that doesnt make much sense. minus tht it's a good show.

then we had lunch at Ajisen Ramen. I obviously don't bother to take a picture of what i ate because i certainly don't have the mood.

Touch 3PM. Dan in Real Life is finally there. This is a Love cum Comedy by Steve Farrell who is a columnist who writes to people who have problems in love. Something like what we usually find on Thursday's Big Brother in The Star. He was visiting a bookshop in his hometown and bumped into a hottie whom he's interested with which he found out on the same day she is his brother's girlfriend. interesting isn't it? Noting to fancy about but i think this could happen.

Touch 5.20PM. Time for some Extra-Terrestrial by Stephen Chow - Cj7. Well you know Stephen Chow's masterpiece. Full with nonsense, humour and just plain laugh.

the movie marathon ended at 7PM.

suddenly i have the crave for Seoul Ria's side dishes. hmmm......tht's when i love rice lots.

a lot of times i feel confused. not knowing what went wrong and what should i be doing. Should i follow the current and let things be after all i'm comfortable with it and why not? But sometimes i kept thinking for a change do something!! I used to be very brave, very pat, very fat, very talkative, very mean and very fierce. Now as times passes by i became less brave, not so pat, not as fat but still fat, less talkative, still very mean and still fierce. what is there to do? i hate myself for being so gutless. did i change for the good or bad after all this years?

It's 2008 and always my hope is for a better year and may if not all some of my dreams do come true. Are my dreams so hard to be fulfilled?

i'm feeling so damn bored now...need to boost my life a bit please.
