TP Roll Thank-You

Here's my version of a TP roll project and I have to say I love how it turned out! Trying to flatten it was the hardest part, but with the advice of a few smart women on our weekly on-line chats, I was able to brayer it down! Thanks and hugs ladies, you know who you are! Seriously, isn't this just the cutest little project, and all out of toilet paper rolls?!!

We're going to give it to my ds's 3rd grade teacher at the end of the school year. He's going to write something on the 1st tag, I'll write a little comment on the 2nd tag, and we'll attach a GC on the 3rd tag....a perfect way to say "Thanks!"

Stamped Image Swap

I can't believe it's been a month since I updated my blog! I've been busy, but can't post pics of any of my projects because everything has been for swaps that are going out in a couple of weeks, and I don't want to spoil the surprise.

Here's a card I made from one of the images and some of the paper I recieved from the Stamped Image w/ a Twist Swap on SP. I recieved so many cute images and I love all the paper too! It really was a great swap and I hope there's another one soon!

This card is for my newphew's dd's baptism. After making it, I think it looks more like a sympathy card...I hope they're not to offended! LOL! Also, I've decided I'm going to try making a different version of this, placing a scripture in the middle and the cross will be down by the flowers. Does anyone recognize the cross from the Indie Art cartridge...it worked perfect for this card.

A 14 hour crop at Custom Crops

Lucky me! I met up with a fellow Sparker at Custom Crops for a 14 hour crop on Saturday. I don't think I got a lot done other than laugh alot and enjoy our time visiting! LOL! Not really, but I wasn't as productive as I could have been! Only 4 completed pages, a half page, and I started a 6x6 book for my son.

I loved going to Custom Crops and being able to use all the tools that they have, and we all know they have a lot of them! If the store sells it, we could try it! I had some help w/ the Zutter for the 6x6 book, but what a cool tool that is....it's going on my wish list!

Here's my favorite LO from the day! I used the Copic Glitter pens on it, which makes it's all shiny and eye-catching, just like that tatoo.

It was a great day! Meeting Sherrie, recruiting Stephanie, and cropping and shopping at Custom Crops...for 14 straight hours! Did I mention there were margaritas.....

Spring Shape Swap

Here's a couple of LO's that I did using the shapes from the Spring Shape Swap. I love all the shapes and embellishments that everyone sent in, I can't wait to use more of them! Hugs to all who participated, everyone did an awesome job!

Easter morning at our house!

How could I pass up a picture of this bright and beautiful rainbow that came our way in late March?!!

Stamp to Lose Challenge April 12-18

This week's challenges were:
1. Use the Stamping Off technique to create a card or layout.
2. Tax Day is this week... Stamp something that has to do with money! This can be interpreted just about any way you like, so have fun with it!
3. Stamp anything- anything at all...

I can't take full credit for this as I saw a similar card using the Citrus SU stamp set with 3 different colors on someone's blog, but can't remember which blog it was...my apologies go out to the originator! Not only did I scraplift the idea, I also borrowed the SU set from Amy, so I'm sending a big shout out to her for letting me use it!

I wanted to borrow the citrus stamp to make a set of twinchies for a swap I'm in and decided I could use a couple of those twinchies for the challenge this week. Yep, that's right....another twofer for me! I did the stamping off technique on the background paper and love the way it turned out.

Thanks for the great challenge this week girls, I hope you keep it up!

Stamp to Lose March 29 - April 4

Here are this week's challenges:
1- Stamp on a paint color sample strip and use it on a card or scrapbook layout. You know those neat paint sample strips you can get at Lowe's, Home Depot, or other places that sell paint??? Use one of those! In order to stamp on them though, you need to use a Brilliance pad or Stayz-On ink. THEN, once you've stamped the image, color it in with watercolor pencils and adhere the sample strip to your card or layout. (just DON'T do the watercoloring... only use the pencils to color in the image.)
2- Since April starts this week, stamp something that has to do with showers... you know the old saying "April Showers bring May flowers"
3- Stamp anything! That's always better than nothing!!

As you can tell, I went with the first challenge. I am having trouble with placement of the saying on this card, so I'll probably put it on the inside, I would like for the card to say, A true friend never goes out of style. If you have any suggestions please feel free to let me know, because I'm more than willing to hear where all of you think I should place it. I'm stumped at this point, but really like the card! I know I would never have put these together if it wasn't for this challenge, so thank-you Pam and Amy! As always, it was a lot of fun.

Stamp to Lose 3/23 - 3/28

Here's the challenges for this week, and as much as I love shaker boxes, I went the second challenge.

1) Create a glitter window using punches, packing tape, and (of course), glitter!!!
2) Use Versa Mark or Distressing Ink to accent your card
3) Create a card....something is better than nothing

I'm not positive, but I'm thinking that this card might not be blog worthy, but hey, it is the challange and I did complete it!

Stamp to Lose March 15-21

This weeks challenge was:
1) Use a flourish stamp and enhance it with Stickles or glitter
2) Make a birthday card
3) Make any card or enhance a project with some stamping

I used a foam stamp to make this birthday card. I don't have many swirly stamps, and the few I do have are about 1" long, so I used rub-ons. Even with rub-ons I didn't want to use too many flourishes, even though I could use this card for a girl....check out the eyelashes on the frog! LOL! Yep, another of Donna M's wonderful finds! I think I'm going to have to use a 40% coupon and get some of those fancy schmancy swirly stampies! Thanks for looking!
