WW #94 Christmas in July

This week's sponsor at Wicked Wednesday is JSL – Just Some Lines and how awesome that they are providing winner's choice of four (4) free images from their online store!

It was a nice change of pace to make a Christmas ATC at this time of year. The background was made using the CB Holly embossing folder and applying TH DI's over the raised embossing. A FYG Copic was used for highlighting around the dove which is not my usual BG10,  but heck...I still think it looks great.

I know I always say Happy Wednesday and this week it really is! I have company  flying in from Maine and Florida today, then tomorrow we will be heading over to our annual scrapbooking retreat in a nearby suburb. FUN!!

WW #93 Treehouse Reminder

Oh my...this has been a whirlwind of a week! We've had company from New York and Missouri, with more folks coming in from Florida and Maine this coming week!  With all of the hustle and bustle I forgot to schedule my post for today, so I am trying something new and will attempt to make this post using a Blogger app from my phone, I hope it works!

Y&FH #20 Celebration Reminder

With all of the anniversary hoopla that has been going on this week at Yumi & Fumi Handmade, it would be easy to forget that they are in the midst of a CELEBRATION challenge....here are the challenge details:

Create a CARD/PROJECT for any CELEBRATION!!

July 7th - July 19

I chose to make a tag and notepad using Fumi with Turtle for the Celebration theme.

 

Several images of Fumi were randomly stamped throughout the notepad in a light gray ink.

 

 

My teamie Eva created an adorable card using Yumi Peace Sign and I think you'll agree with me that Yumi has the most pinchable cheeks!

 

You can use any image from Y&F, Sister Stamps, La-La Land Crafts and The Greeting Farm for this challenge. Yumi & Fumi Handmade's 1st anniversary!!

  

If you're following the blog hop line-up you've just seen EVA's adorable card, along with the photo all the designers used to create their projects for this hop. But in case you haven't...this is that inspirational photo.

 

I chose to make a note card holder from a tutorial that I saw at SCS using Yumi with Fan (from the Kimono series) which was part of Y&FH's very 1st release.

 

 

Here's the inside of the note card holder with matching note cards.

 

The cards were kept CAS as the recipient will undoubtedly add her own handmade embellishments to each.

WW #91 Red, White & Blue Reminder

The minute I saw the sweater on this adorable guy I knew it would look fabulous in red, white, and blue...or in this case....red, white, blue, and green, LOL!

The Heart Monster image is from Dilly Beans and stamped stars, stickles, a flag, and sentiment stickers were used to complete this ATC.
