It seems that I am going through post partum depression again. It sucks. I thought I escaped it. I'm not asking for pitty, just patience and understanding. I am not myself as of late. So please don't take anything personal.
What I hate most is when people don't try to understand. Or they do try, but then grow weary of me "not getting over it." Oh, if only they knew what a kind of hell this is!
So don't take anything personal if you see me and I can't meet your eye. If I seem angry, it's not because of you. I am angry. Mainly because I hate that I have this problem. I'm fighting and it makes me tired and onery. I hope to come out of the darkness soon.
Thank you to the few who still love me despite this and want me around. It makes all the difference in the world knowing there are a select few who won't give up on me.

Thoughts and Ramblings
1. I will forever think 1/4 cup of something is more than 1/3 cup because 4 is more than 3. Makes perfect sense, right?
2. I have been researching things pertaining to GMO's, chemicals and dangerous additives in our foods, to death. My head is going to explode. There is so much information. And it's information that is scary. Google Monsanto and tell me it doesn't bother you.
3. When it comes to Sundays, I suck. There are plenty of single mothers out there that can get themselves and their kids ready for 9 AM church. I can't seem to do it. I think we've made it to sacrament twice since Luke was born. Why can't I get it together?
4. Speaking of Sunday....We were doing so well this morning! I thought, "Yes! We're going to be on time!" Then Cameron came to me with hives all over his back and face. No idea what he had a reaction to. Needless to say, we ended up staying home.
5. John and I watched Battleship the other night. One of those movies I wasn't sure I would enjoy, but was pleasantly surprised by.
6. Luke still is not sleeping through the night. He's 5 1/2 months. Not cool.
7. I'm trying to persuade Porter and Cameron that it would be awesome if they were The Chipmunks for Halloween. It's actually quite perfect. Porter as Alvin, Cam as Simon (he has the glasses!) and Luke as chubby Theodore!

The House of the Lord
As I mentioned, we went to the Brigham City Temple open house on Porter's birthday. It was gorgeous, as are all temples. There is so much detail and the colors are beautiful. The only thing was, it was HOT inside! Don't get me wrong, it was lovely. But the heat was a bit overwhelming. It made Luke a little cranky and Cameron even more so. I think it safe to say that it was probably cooler outside! Still, I'm glad we took the opportunity to go.

Silly boys wearing the shoe covers on their heads. People around us had a good laugh. :)

Preschool + Cameron
Mr. Cameron started preschool this week. We were both pretty nervous about it. This guy still has a hard time with separation anxiety.
Monday night, we talked about the priesthood for FHE and John gave him a father's blessing. Cam was very still during it and I could tell he was feeling the spirit. Tuesday morning went better than expected. There were still nerves but, he did so well and I was pretty proud of him.
I think it's going to be a great year! He doesn't love getting ready and going ("I don't like preschool!") but, once he's there, he settles right in and is happy when I pick him up. Love you, Cam the Man!

Year Seven
Porter turned seven last Thursday. Seven! He is such a good kid. He loves Luke something fierce. For the most part he is good to Cameron. :) He loves anything arts and crafts. He's so creative! I constantly find him looking for things to make stuff out of. Throughout school I've been told how kind he is to the other kids. He is caring and hates to see people hurting. He is great at math and reading.
We got Porter out early from school and went to the Brigham City Temple open house. It was gorgeous! My whole family came as well as John's parents. Afterwards, everyone came back to our house to celebrate.

The requested Angry Birds cake. I think it turned out pretty good! When Porter saw it he said,"WHOA! COOL!" His face lit up. Totally worth the effort.

It's been a great seven years. Happy Birthday, Porter!
Grade the 1st
It's day four of 1st Grade. Of having my oldest gone for half the day. I miss him. He is a great help with Luke. Cameron doesn't know what to do without his older brother. But it's okay. It's good for us. It's been good for me to remember how much I love him and how much he helps me.
Porter was so excited to start! His teacher is Mrs. Schmidt. Cameron calls her Mrs. Shit. Hee! We're working on getting it right.
He was so ready. And really, so was I. We all need a schedule and routine back. Have a great year, Porter!

First Food
We tried the rice cereal out on Luke a couple of weeks ago. He actually enjoyed it. His digestive system did not.
It plugged him up so I held off a few days and tried again. Same result. So, it's down with the rice cereal. I think we will be trying out some veggies here soon.
I do love messy baby faces. :)
