Loving and Bonding

Mommy Egg has shared a post of Daddy Sean and baby Amelia some weeks ago and I've also capatured the same "couch potato" moments of Larry and little Beatrice! Isn't it heartwarming to see Daddies and their girls sharing their fun hours of watching that goggle box and their closeness in relationship =D

Well, of late, I have that soft spot in me when I happened to see in public, a dad feeding his daughter or cuddling, talking and playing with her. It is that feeling of being so much in love. You know, that Love for his wife which has been cascaded to his daughter. That fatherly love! I was so tempted to take a picture of that precious moment I was so lost in, when I was having my dinner at the foodcourt around my place. But I don't dare =( because I was just a table away from them and I was afraid that I will be questioned!

Hey! Don't get me wrong! I don't mean to say that there is no fatherly love between father and son. But what I am trying to share here, is that when you see a father talking to his daughter, its like he is talking to his wife! You know, that kind of gesture, tone, expression etc etc ... If the man loves his wife dearly, you will get to see the same characteristics he would display when he talks to his daughter. However, when a father talks to his son, he is more demanding and commanding! Has anyone ever noticed that? It's just not the same!

Maybe I am too imaginative or too emotional ... Anyhow, I just love to watch the way a father takes care of his daughter. It is a passion I would say. Because, it makes me feel that "he must be a very loving husband" =)

That Girlish Look

We were trying to make little Beatrice looks more girlish for the Kids Cover Look photoshot last Saturday! See the effect =D Is she looking more girlish? hahaha ... we feel that she still looks like a Miss Boy Boy not matter how we try. Well, at least we know that her hair is slightly longer now, and we will try to clip her hair so that aunties and jie-jie on the street can identify her as a girl rather than a boy ;P

Beatrice's First MRT Ride

Larry's car was in the workshop for some aesthetic work while he was on business trip this week. And the car was only ready for pick up last evening. Hence, we decided to take the MRT to Vivo City. And that was Beatrice first MRT ride since birth!

It was quite "nervy" for us to go on the public transport now that little Beatrice is extremely sensitive to strangers around her. She will show that she is angry and she will cry with huge teardrops falling down her cheeks!

When we entered the MRT, Beatrice was a little overwhelmed by the crowds in the train. She started to make noise when some kids smiled at her and an auntie waved at her! She refused to sit in her pram and wanted me to carry her! I picked her up and told her where she was and who those people were. She did eased off a little but she still refused to sit in her pram. In fact, she never like to sit in her pram =( Guess this is a habit and the feeling of insecurity! I carries her alot and she was so pampered with the securities I give her, hence, she never never likes to sit in her pram when we were out. Both Larry and myself always envy parents with kids who could sit in their pram quietly and with so much co-operation. Therefore, we had decided that its time Beatrice gets train with such discipline too!

Well, everything we do is all about getting use to and making it a habit! Be it a baby, a toddler, a teenager or an adult, if we are constantly being stimulated in a similar environment or condition, we will soon get used to it and things will not be so peculiar anymore!

Beatrice soon get used to the crowds at Vivo City and she enjoyed her pram ride too! She would even sit quietly in her pram while waiting for her cheesecake and cappuccino chiller to be served! When we were on our way home in the MRT, little Beatrice even let a "pretty and sexy" lady (according to her daddy), hold her tiny hand! She smiled, played and waved to a nae-nae who said Beatrice is a happy baby!

We hope that little Beatrice will make more progress as weeks go by and she will be less wary of strangers around her. This phase of her growth progress will eventually pass like a breeze. Though this will be a real challenge for all of us, but its a phase all of us have to go through! Hopefully, our little Beatrice will learn to be more appreciative of her surrounding, where fun, amusement, play and learning awaits her.

Singapore Satay Club

Last evening weather was really great and we decided to go for a joy ride and dinner @ the Singapore Satay Club in Sembawang. There was a big crowd both indoor and outdoor. By the time we were @ the Satay Club, it was 645pm. The Q was forming at the Satay stall, and our little princess was getting zombier. It has indeed pass her bedtime of about 630pm. You must be shock to know that little Beatrice zzz so early :P , and it is true that she will get grouchy by 5 plus.

Finally, the food arrived and both of us got to quicky tuck-in cos our little princess was very very angry! She made a lot of noise and she went around waving and clapping to stranger in the eatery place. A little drowsy, angry, frustrated ... hahaha ... juz don't know how to describe. We finished our food quicky and headed straight home immediately. Both Larry and I will be back to the Singapore Satay Club again to try the different type of fried rice. They were yummy!

Little Beatrice is officially 8 months old today!

Little Beatrice is officially 8 months old today. And today is also the first jab for Pneumococcal!

A Trip to the Singapore Botanic Garden

The weather was great last weekends, and we brought little Beatrice to the Singapore Botanic Garden on Sunday. She was curious about those furry looking creatures running about, which we call them Dogs! And little Beatrice was also fascinated with the green leafy plants and the heliconia. See how she reached out for the leaf as she was too far from the heliconia =)

Tour of the Ancient Swedish Merchant Ship - Gotheborg

We had a tour on the Ancient Swedish Merchant Ship, Gotheborg on the second day of Year 2007 at Vivo City. It was the first gathering for my family this new year and the early tour onboard made us all excited. However, I was a little disappointed cos I was expecting the vessel to be bigger than it actually was. Nevertheless, my family enjoyed it and we took a lot of pictures that day.

After the tour, we headed for lunch @ the Food Republic! I had the famous and delicious laska while the rest ate hokkien prawn noodles. My sis, Erica got the fried bun which looks interesting and Larry said it taste yum-yum! Guess we were all so hungry from climbing up and down the ship, and under the blazing morning sun ;P
