Ski Durango

I know, I know. Another ski post. The third one. I’m sorry! But I have to post about our family ski trip! Our yearly ski trip to Durango, Colorado over spring break, has become a favorite family tradition.  It’s a trip we look forward to every spring break. The boys love it and even though we hate the drive, we love the town and the stunning mountain setting that keeps us coming back every year.

This year our hotel had the Oscar Meyer weinermobile!

All bundled up and ready to hit the slopes!

It snowed pretty heavily almost the whole ski trip, the night before it dumped a whole bunch of new snow which made for some really fresh powder our first day. We aren’t used to skiing in such heavy powder (except Brad) it’s quite the work out and made us a little more cautious out on the slopes. I think I like my skiing a little more groomed.

Love skiing with these guys

Last year this guy (Logan) was a speed demon going down, but the powder slowed him down and he started really working on his turns.

So much fun skiing with this guy

Dad taking these two out on some harder runs

These two started going on some black diamonds for their first time! They loved doing the moguls.

💙🤍🩵❄️

Of course the sun decides to come out on the afternoon of our last day

As always such stunning views!
Waiting for the others to come back from their last run of the day/trip!

Till next time Durango!

15!

15 and halfway through the teenage years! He’s been dropping hints of wanting to learn how to drive and I’m not ready 🫣. He loves bobba tea, traveling, space, cello,  skiing, friends; basically Carson loves so many things and hobby’s and will talk your ear off if you get on the right subject. He’s smart, dedicated, and ambitious. I’m so lucky and proud to be his mom! Here’s to another fun year!
We celebrated by getting his favorite Peruvian food.
Happy birthday Cars!

Annual Clark ski trip

Every year, Brad looks forward his brother’s annual ski trip in Utah. A tradition he loves and this year it wasn’t just the brothers but most of his family! They hit the slopes together, and it seemed each day he got to ski with someone new. 4 straight days of skiing alternating between Snowbasin and Alta ski resorts. I know for Brad, it’s not just about the skiing—it’s about quality time with the people he loves most.

Ran into an old childhood friend! Jesse Low

Skiing with Ryan & Brooks

Almost all the siblings! Just missing Andrea this year. What a great group of skiers

February Updates

February. The shortest month of the year, but can sometimes feel the longest.

No I take that back January is definitely the absolute longest and February is just an extension of it.

Anyway here’s some updates that happened:
Urgent care visits. Back to back. One for Carson and another for Logan. Fun times. 🤪
Pine wood derby

Basketball. Lots of Basketball. Tanner was one of the star players in his team and it was fun to watch him play his favorite sport. He really has improved so much.

His team won second!

Logan played too. He was lucky to have the same coach from last year.

They also won second

I hosted game night where we played old school Mario Cart and I had a students mom make this awesome charcuterie board to serve.

I mean gold flecks on the fruit 🤩

Tanner enjoyed the leftovers the next day! I mean charcuterie board and watching a show together. That’s totally speaking his love language.

I also got back into making quilts! I had all this leftover fabric from a quilt I made for Katherine and thought it was time for a new one. Love it!

And February is my favorite month at the preschool. We have rodeo days and a petting zoo! Kelly has been my assistant this year and has been a perfect fit! She’s so calm and is great with the kids. She makes my first year as a lead easier.
My cute class

The llamas always my favorite, sad to see her behind a gate this year though.
