Sleeping

Alana slept though the night last night! Yea! It was so awesome to get that kind of sleep!

Last week I was at my wits end. I couldn't take it anymore getting up every hour for one of the kids. Alana had a tummy ache and Naomi was having nightmares. Will even got involved and he usually sleeps through it all.
The next morning Will and I chatted about our options. I am really not a fan of the cry it out method. It makes me feel like a horrible mom. I know, selfish. But Will said we needed to try it and make Alana figure it out. So since it was Wills day off (he could hold my hand) and Lisa wasn't there (to hear all the screaming) and it was nap time (no one else had to sleep) we tried it.
15 minutes in, she fell asleep. It worked. Will was right. Yes, I said it.
Ever since then she hasn't cried for longer then 3 minutes before falling asleep and sleeping like a rock. Most of the time she cries till I get to the door, then she is quiet. I even hear her on the monitor in the middle of the night waking up and going back to sleep by herself! She is a pro now! I am so excited that this was such an easy fix!

Now I just need to figure out how to make Naomi listen and to stop having accidents.

6 months!

So adorable!!
Alana loves things with buttons, but not a lot of noise. but she loves crinkly paper! She is a pro at sitting up and rolling over. She loves solid food, but not a lot of meat. I have to hide that in her oatmeal. She is getting a lot better hanging out with people other than me. But she still is a mommy's girl! She kind of has a nap schedule, but every time I think something becomes regular for her she changes it. Maybe one day she will sleep through the night!

This month...

My little pretzel. Apparently toes are yummy! My girls love to play with each other!


Naomi likes to get herself dressed. The only rule I have is her legs have to be covered to keep her warm. But she insists in wearing skirts (to help be a princess). This is what she wore the other day.

Fun Stuff of September

I know I am a little behind. But this is some ofthe fun things that happened in September.

Alana has discovered her thumb. I think she is going to be a hybrid kid.


Naomi thought it would be a good idea to use the dirty cool whip container as a hat. Hilarious, but messy.


I came up stairs one day to find this. Naomi organizing her letters by color.I was quite impressed!


Ever since we got back from Disneyland Naomi has been really excited about princesses. Here she is dressed up with all the accessories. Including crown, bracelets, rings, and "monkey in the barrel" earrings. (oh, and temporary tattoos which she calls "statues.")

5 months

Alana is 5 months old now. She is so adorable and is really growing now! I have gotten an few comments about her chubbiness and I love it! It is so nice to see her growing and being healthy!
She is a pro at eating oatmeal. She loves to "talk" to me. (We take turns humming at each other.) She also like to try to talk on the phone with me. She will bury her head into my cheek when the phone is up to my ear.

Naomi loves her to bits.
