Taste of Cali!

Here's a few pics of our fabulous week in SoCal! Sad it has to come to an end and back to work too soon!  We had a blast! We went to Disneyland, California Adventure, Huntington Beach, Cali Angel's game-they won, and seriously had tons of fun!

Crystal Hot Springs

This past weekend, some friends and I went up to Honeyville to hit up some natural hot springs! We had a blast despite the thousands of peeps there. It was a gorgeous spring night! On our way back we crashed at my parents house, and they loved the company. We got up Saturday and made breakfast, then headed home! Fun start to the weekend!

Lake Powell

This past weekend was our annual cleaning trip at Lake Powell...once again, way too short! But sure love that place...it's just simply amazing! The happiest place on earth for sure!
We spent the majority of the day Friday cleaning, got done early and headed out to the lake! First waterski of the year!! Super stoked for summer!! We went into Page for dinner at our traditional Mexican dinner, even sat at the same table! The air temp was great, but the water was frigid...a whopping 56*! Chilly, but so worth it! It was so fun to see Ben and Heather, since we haven't seen them since the wedding! ***found out a few weeks ago....I'm going to be an aunt! Super excited!! Can't wait for the beginning of December!

St. George

The last of week of April, me and some friends and part of my family went down to St. George for a race. I have been training for a half marathon since the beginning of February. Unfortunately do to a back injury at work, I wasn't cleared to run it. So me and Nick ran the 5K and cheered on Katie, Natalie, Beth, and Mandy, as they ran the half marathon. Nick forgot running shoes, so Friday night we ran to Wal-Mart and got him some $16 shoes...they were falling apart by the end, but he won 3rd in his age group no less!! It was way fun, but a short trip for sure!
Highlights included four wheeling in the sand dunes out in Hurricane, game night, church, stroll around the St. George temple, and of course, road trip adventures!

San Diego

In the middle of April I went to San Diego for a good friends' wedding-Mrs. Katelin Meador Felshaw. It was way too short. Thanks to my aunt ad uncle, we stayed in San Diego from Friday-Monday. They were fabulous hosts and we had a great time. The wedding was in Newport Beach, so we braved the California traffic and drove up! Made it to the temple with about 2 minutes to spare!
Other highlights included dinner and a stroll through Old Town/downtown San Diego, fun entertainment, a tour of the new Mormon Batallion, we went to a few beaches--La Jolla, Children's/Seal, Cottage Cove. It was a bit overcast but we loved it. A visit to my uncle's lab was fascinating too. And of course, wedding festivities! It was a great weekend. We stayed in St. George on the way down and went for a run Friday morning. We stopped again for dinner with cousins on our way home. The bummer part of the trip was getting stuck in Fillmore, Utah from 10 pm-8 am because of a HUGE snowstorm! We camped out in the back of my car and nearly froze to death.

Back in the Saddle

Since I've taken the last 18 months off if blogging, I decided to get back a little but. I figure I can blog on my phone, so who knows, maybe I'll be better--at least for a bit!
