..RSL..
last night lance and i went to dinner and the real salt lake game with my cute aunt and uncle. neither of us had been to the new stadium...lance had never been to a game even...so it was tons of fun! before the game they treated us to a delicious meal at ruby river steakhouse - so good! and then it was on to the game. we were expecting rain, or even snow, but it ended up being the most perfect night - no moisture at all! there were no goals made by either team until the last 5 or so minutes, then real scored two right in a row! it was a great game, and such a fun night! thanks aunt judy and uncle steve!

..for the love of october..
i feel like everyone has a post about how much they love the fall, and i tried really hard not to copy those who do, but i can't help myself!! the fact is, i LOVE fall too, especially october! i love love love wearing sweaters and boots and cute fall jackets and scarves. i love waking up to fresh rain and falling leaves. i love the aroma of fall -- the leaves, the cold air, all the smells that come from the kitchen while cooking delicious soups and pies and pumpkin cheesecake and cookies! mmmm mmm. i love picking out halloween costumes and baking cute festive halloween treats. i love all the pumpkins and candy corn and the witches and ghosts. and perhaps what i love most about the fall is watching the halloween decorations at stores slowly disappear, to be replaced by christmas decorations. (i love christmas even more...but thats a story for another day!)
our fall has been fairly uneventful, other than a few fun activities. we went to nightmare on 13th last week -- it was pretty good actually, and i did scream a few times! last saturday was our ward party and i am on the activities committee so i had a busy couple of days leading up to that. we had our friends abi and ammon over for dinner last weekend and also lance's mom and sister came up on sunday for dinner, so that was fun! we have some fun things planned in the days and weeks to come! on the calendar: real salt lake game tonight -- neither of us have been to the new stadium so we are excited (hoping it wont rain too hard!)...temple & a movie with friends friday day...girls night out on friday night...witches night at gardner village on saturday night...as well as family and friend halloween parties and we want to try and get to a haunted house and hopefully frightmares at lagoon sometime before the month is over!

..now that its getting colder, the dogs love sitting in the sun................................
lance just started his scuba certification program so that he'll be able to go scubadiving in the galapagos islands next month! listening to him talk about all the things he needs to do to get ready for his south america trip is starting to make me really jealous! i am SO happy for him that he gets to go -- this is his first BIG trip and i know he will have a blast! i am just sad that i will miss out on it! i guess in the long run i will be grateful i picked graduating over going on a vaca.
and as for me? just truckin through my last semester at usu. it hasn't been too bad. the worst part is the drive and getting to class (let's be honest, that has always been the hardest part for me)! and who would have thunk that after 6 years of elementary school, 7 years of secondary education, and 5 years of higher education i would be considering going to more school?! yes folks, i am seriously considering getting a master's. if you asked me a month ago if i was interested in getting a master's, my answer would have been a big fat "hell no!!" haha but then one day i started thinking about it, and i realized i would love to be a teacher, so why not get my master's in teaching at westminster?! we will see what happens.until next time, wishing you all a very happy fall time, from our home to yours!!
love,
becky&lance
