..did you say "all you can eat????"..

every year some of lance's buddies have an "all you can eat shrimp contest" during red lobster's all you can eat shrimp fest. last year the winner of the contest ate 240 shrimp! can we say gross? well i love shrimp, but that is just too many! haha so this year lance and i decided to go and witness all this madness. lance did get the all you can eat shrimp meal, but he didn't participate in the contest. i think he realized ahead of time what the consequences of eating that many shrimp would be! anyway, between the two of us we had about 91 shrimp, which isn't anything compared to this year's winner who ate 186-ish. i can't imagine how he felt the next day because both lance and i felt a little bit off. haha the funny thing is, even though we felt sick the next day, we went again two days later!! we just couldn't resist!

so if you enjoy endless amounts of shrimp, i suggest you get your little bum over to red lobster before this deal ends!!

...our new truck!! woo hoo, lance finally has a nice truck to drive! ever since we got married...and before we got married too...he drove a couple of old beaters to work bc he didn't see the importance of having a nice work truck. well as soon as he started getting really busy and driving A LOT he realized that he didn't like driving the old beaters and that he really would rather have a nice truck to drive. so for months we have been searching for the perfect truck. well i guess our patience finally paid off because we found it: black, 4-door, 4-wheel drive, "after market" rims (which are apparently very important!), low miles and a grrrrreeeaaat deal!

and yes, we are calling him captain jack sparrow!

..goodbye summer, hello school..

well, well, well, it is that time of year. i can't believe that the summer is almost over! kinda crazy to think that 5 days from now at this very moment i will be sitting in a classroom up in good ol' logan, staring at the clock, counting down the minutes until class is over. haha to be honest i really am excited though...hopefully {key word hopefully!} this will be my last semester! it all kinda depends on my department head and i will find out next week if things will work out the way i want them to! i just want to be DONE! even if that means 22 credits and driving up to logan 3 days a week! yes i know, i must be a little crazy.

so, goodbye endless summer days full of freedom and fun, and lacking in responsibility and jam-packed schedules...hello fall, which most undoubtedly will be filled with class after class, paper after paper, test after test and filling up gas tank after gas tank after gas tank (not lookin forward to that part!)!

hello, hello! our internet hasn't been working properly the past few weeks so i haven't been able to post anything, but FINALLY it is working again!

lance and i haven't been too busy...no wait, scratch that...lance has been SUPER busy! he has been working on a job in orem, a HUGE job, and he is on a deadline so basically he works from sun-up to sund-down and he has been staying at my aunt and uncle's in sandy so i haven't seen him much!! i know i have said it before, but thank goodness for my dogs at night or i would be really scared...and sad! haha well even though i hate how much he has been gone, it sure makes me appreciate when he is around. i have even got to the point where i get butterflies again when i see him bc i feel like it has been so long!!

so while lance is working his little bum off all day long, i have done some fun things to occupy my time...

there are LOTS and LOTS of other things we would love to do before the summer is over (lagoon, seven peaks, jackson hole...just to name a few!), but there just isn't enough time!! we have had a great "first married" summer together, i can't believe it is almost over.

school starts in about a week and a half -- to be honest, i am really excited!! excited to see my friends up there more often (hopefully!) and excited to finally graduate!! so keep your fingers crossed that i will be dilligent and not sluff school...i have to drive up to logan 3 days a week, which i am not looking forward to but i know it will be worth it!!
