Meet the new bears

It has been a busy day and I am about ready to go to bed for the night. I was up at 5am and got my mom to the airport. Then home to see if my daughter was ready for school. She's still not better so I am taking her to the doctor tonight just to make sure all is well. It doesn't look like she'll be competing tomorrow. Poor Hubby and I are still like 2 ships passing in the night. He is only here to sleep until this computer dilemma gets resolved.

I survived my biopsy today. It was really unpleasant and stung because they didn't use any freezing. I had watched a video of the procedure on youtube so had myself prepared. It took the doctor 3 attempts to get that long needle in the right spot, and he just jabbed it HARD into the front of my neck, what a nauseating feeling, yuck . At least I couldn't see it !!! Then he wiggled it and poked it around and sucked out some tissue all the while telling me not to breath LOL, gag. Oh well, a small price to pay to find out what is going on :)

Overall it has been a good day really. I feel really happy inside, God is so good to me :)

An interesting week

I am still working on my bear and really hoping to have it done by the weekend. But, things have been thrown off schedule a bit. My daughter has been home sick with the flu. Poor kiddo, I am hoping she will be well enough for her final dance competition on the weekend.

My hubby has been working crazy hours to fix a computer disaster at his workplace. He comes home long enough to sleep then off he goes again. Poor guy :( So , I am holding down the fort this week and trying to fit in bearmaking when time allows.

Friday I have to get up at 5am to drive my mom to the airport. She is headed to Cuba with my brother, sister-in law and niece. Then I have to go to the hospital for my biopsy. I'm not worried but I'm also not looking forward to it. I'm glad it is being done though. I'm just praying that I don't come down with the flu in the meantime !

Bears, and busyness

Hi, Thanks for popping in !

It has been a busy couple of weeks in this den. Dance competitions are still underway for my daughter with more this weekend and next. Then we can relax for another couple of weeks before the end of the year recital . It has been tiring keeping up with extra rehearsals, and early morning competitions ( competing at 8 am with VERY loud music is a bit much LOL) .I am excited about this Sunday though as the parents along with the dancers ( about 130 of us all together) will be competing in a fun dance off in front of about 30 other dance schools . I better start stretching now so I don't injure myself LOL. Some of the dads have to dress in women's aerobic wear , my hubby being one of them. It should be an absolute hoot !
Just another word of caution. My credit card number was stolen AGAIN . This happened last year too and I know it is from online purchases. So, even when you think it is secure, it may not be. Thankfully the fraud dept. caught it and called me. Someone has been having fun making purchases in Ontario over the past month. At least it is a separate card I only use online and with a very low limit for this exact reason. Someone suggested using preloaded Visa/ Mastercards and I may start doing that instead. It is worth the extra few dollars.


Lastly, I have a new mink bear on the cutting table waiting to be sewn together. It will likely be next week sometime before it is completed.

New bear coming Monday

As I mentioned in yesterdays post, I have a new bear that I will be offering on Monday April 12th. I expect he will be listed for adoption at approximately 5pm Atlantic Time. In the meantime, here is a little glimpse of him.

my daughter's dance competition. I think the girls get more excited about the hair, makeup and sparkly costumes LOL.

Is there anyone out there ???

I have been so delinquent updating my blog that I wonder if anyone even checks in anymore !

I am still here. I've just been preoccupied with life, my health and changes. Some things have been stressful, but some are exciting at the same time. I am in the process of working with a surgeon to sort out some health issues. I feel like I am always at a health appointment. Isn't that a sign of getting old LOL ???? I still need to have a biopsy on a small lump, but have been assured that I shouldn't worry. I admit I have been worried... who wouldn't be in all honesty , but this week I feel confident that things will be o.k. I'm leaving it in God's hands at this point.

I have also realized it was time to remove some things in my life that are causing stress, and make some other necessary changes as I feel led. It has been so hard to let go, but will ultimately make me and my family stronger I think. So, it is exciting .

I am also in the process of doing my income tax so I'll be glad when that is done so I can spend more time on bears. Also, my daughter is in the midst of dance competitions and my son has started motocross practice so it is a busy time driving kids everywhere they need to be.

Amongst all this, I am working on a new mink bear that I hope to have ready for sale sometime on Monday ! Bearmaking is my sanity LOL . I'll post updates as the date gets closer.
