I'm not feeling particularly eloquent right now, or even coherent. But since the carpets in my apartment are being cleaned right now, I'm not asleep and I figure this is as good a time as any to write a brief update.
I'm still working my graveyard shift custodial job on the weekends, but I gave my two weeks' notice last night (this morning) and the end is in sight. I spent the entire shift stacking chairs, moving chairs, sorting chairs, and vacuuming around chairs. My arms and legs feel like wet noodles. I could barely get the spoon to my mouth when I ate some cereal this afternoon. Tonight's going to be fun, for sure.
This fall I'm working as a TA in the physics department. I met with my professor, Dr Colton, on Thursday, and he has sent me three or four emails since then of other things he wants me to do on Monday when I go back to the physics department to finish all my hiring stuff. I'm also supposed to move next week, on either Tuesday or Wednesday. I have no idea as yet how that's going to happen.
I walked up to the temple the other day and spent some time in the baptistry. My favorite part was the three deaf old men in the confirmation room that could not say my last name for anything, even when I used my "look eager" trick. I think I was confirmed under ten different names, the closest being rightly pronounced but with the accent on the KEY syllable. Good times.
Anyway, life in general is going well for me, I loved spending a couple weeks in Texas and seeing so many family members. Allison and Ashley both had beautiful weddings and receptions and I was grateful for the opportunity to be part of their special days. I don't see myself following in their footsteps anytime soon, but I'm not in a hurry either. 201 days until I turn 21.
