Omg I'm really in the mood to blog man! It had to take this event to happen that I'm blogging now! SO... we had this LJ Day going on today and yes I know, the day itself is a joke - I've been repeating this. *Take a breather....*drumroll* time to let it all out!
I came to school at 7.40am with the purest of intention to run the show as
smoothly as possible. No bus delays, no wrong buses, no gong-gong uncle not knowing
directions - yes they are that gong-gong.
I've already memorized the sequence in my mind, their locations and their timings
P5s will go first to their ACM
P2s up next to Changi Airport
P6s to National Museum
P4s to NEWater
P3s to Jacob Ballas
P1s to Geyalng East Library
Everything all planned out, the first 4 went on, though there were minor hiccups
with buses jamming the road and so on but there were no major thingys
ruining the whole journey - so far so good.
I didn't know I would be following any level until this morning itself.
I was going with the P3s to Jacob's - okay not bad, never been there
anyway so no complaints. I have two angels that I had to look out for according to
"Fatna".
Oh and guess what - I was placed with the makcikenek.
It just had to be huh? Fated la. Thought I was gonna be with baba but no.
Cos of the two kiddies whom I've set my eyes on - I had to be with
makcikenek.
ps: i know some ppl may not understand this "under-the-table" language cos its meant to be like that.
Lucky for that Meena there haha! Like really my saviour for the trip!
Our favourite phrase of the day after something happen -
*turns to each other with THE LOOK*
"What would I do without you?"
Dunno if I could survive alone with kenek man. Auntie much.
The start was a bit rough. Auntie was pissed bus driver wasn't in bus. Chill la babe.
He's just at the front, he's coming. -_-"
The two "Angels" were behaving well. One was really well. The other was like... well.
Upon reaching, I really bonded well with them kiddies. They ain't that bad.
I enjoyed myself honestly, loved it.
Don't talk about weather. That's out of the question. Besides all the crap mentioned, I was happy.
Went walking around here and there at Jacob's.
Girl asked me:Miss Hazimah! What's that fruit?
Me: *Thinking look* (Darn. What's that? See la, last time teacher teach don't wanna listen)
Girl interrupts "thought": Looks like durian!
Me: No durian has sharp ends, this one looks more like coconut.
Me: Hmm...ehhh there's the name there!
This is what happens when you bring a totally non-science person
to this kinda place. I won't be of much help. Zeerz.
After all the hullaballoo, we arrived in school around 5.20 or so.
12.45 to 5 at Jacob's was tiring but fruitful.
Now, this is where the real story starts.
I know I give too much prologue. Don't mind - I'm prone to being long-winded.
Since I came earlier, naturally I would think I could leave earlier.
Yes. You thought right. Dream on! Fat hope!
How could I even consider that?
Imagine this.
There I was in the pantry, sipping my oh so cool milo alone, thinking hey everything turned out fine, it wasn't so bad and I can go after this......
Hazimah!! All dreams crushed.
Yes?
One bus still hasn't returned.
Shit.
Okay I'll go call The Company.
Before you think oh this should be easy. Think again.
This company...*sigh....
where do I even begin?
Everytime I explain who I am, which sch I come from, what I want -
Ohhhh.... ok u hold on ahh
Another person comes in - AND
another round of explaining goes on again!
and THIS! This very explaining goes on for a minimum, I REPEAT a minimum
of 5 times on an average basis!
and I'm not even talking for just today BUT for every single freakin time
I have to call - THE COMPANY
oh and fret not
they are not local. (understand understood la ah)
So for
1) I have to repeat to you 5 times my intention of calling you to different random human beings you have passed the phone to
2) You don't understand a single thing I just said OR you repeat everything without understanding even the last smidgen of a word I said
3) My 1 call which comprised of all the above will always, ALWAYS be not only 1 call
BUT 3 to say the least or 5-6 to say the most
WHY DEAR BUS COMPANY WHY DO YOU TORTURE ME LIKE THIS
*PULLS HAIR!!!*
Oh ok that was a brief.
After I managed to bypass all that, the person finally said
Oh we've sent a driver there. So I thought k settled, driver otw already.
Called driver. Great. Grouchy Old Man.
Kept insisting he's turning to Botanics. Turning, turning.
I don't know how come his turning lasted for more than an hour. -_-"
Alot of calling in between.
Me -> Teacher -> Me -> Uncle -> Me -> Company -> Me ->Teacher, Company -> Teacher -> Me
-> Sch Office -> Parents -> Teacher -> Me -> Uncle -> Me
Nice pattern huh? *shakes head*
Please just send another driver please!
According to Grace(teacher),
Uncle got the cheek to say to her, "No I won't pick you up!"
Grouchy much.
Between teacher and driver, there were already squabbles.
Haiz really need to change company after contract ends.
Super duper long story made short.
Girls never made it in time for dismissal.
And best thing, the 4 flag bearers were girls from this class, and cos of that no singing,
no flag lowering.
And some of the girls too were taking sch buses home. It was pure havoc.
Rest of the girls taking same buses with girls not back were initially asked to remain behind to wait. But then school OM had made alternate arrangements with another sch bus driver to send late girls home. So rest of teachers remaining had to call up parents of late girls explaining why their precious aren't back yet, what happened blabla.
It was a sight to behold. No seriously. Panic at its peak. Imagine us strolling back and forth in the dimly lit staff room explaining to the parents.
"Hi, are you so and so's parent? I'm calling blablabla"
Wondering what kind of reply them parents would retort with.
Finally.
What time did I reach just now?
5.20pm
What time did they reach?
7.05pm
Which uncle pick them up?
Not that blehdy cheetot uncle who claimed he's turning of course.
Uncle, pls dont give me that crap. Who takes 1.5 hours to turn to Botanics Uncle?!
OM NOT PAYING THAT COMPANY!!!
HAHA IN YOUR FACE! Definitely need to change company next year. This one won't do.
Too much negativity going on. With all the miscommunication and language barrier.
No no no no no. I've had enough for today.
Thanks for reading my grunt of the day.
Poor AM had to explain the nitty grittys to the "People".
Details! I tell you! She wants details!
Surely she'll get a whole lot of feedback just for today's LJ.
"Mummyji" will also confirm ask me on Tue. *sigh*
Like as if she won't already know. But that's just her.
We'll talk about this some other day aite.
Oh and by the way, all girls were sent home. Last bus took girls at 7.40pm.
Teachers left shortly after.
Poor 3 Joy and Grace, Mrs Chan, Mdm Toh & Aunties, Faezah, Serene, Kenek, Baba, Aneesa, Sin Li and me of course.
Dancers who went for rehearsal also arrived not long after that.(They had their fair share of bus trouble also on the same day - Let's just not go there. Now you know my havoc so let's just nod in understanding okay?)
That's LJ Day for you.
01 April 2010.
And a really great "Learning Experience" for us.
Gracie Mille.
I wonder if this is the perfect ending for April Fools Day haha!
"Fatna" won't think so. Nope.
Not funny! No joke you know!
I'll add pics when I get them :)
Tuesday, December 22, 2009 ( 11:44 PM )
Sooo I haven't updated in ages. Alot of people have been bugging me
to update, so here's my 6 months worth of updates!
Don't get bored ;)
ps: Penang post is delayed. But not for long. :)
After the whole hullaballoo in early June,
finally got posted to a school in mid June,
18 June 2009 to be exact.
CCPS.
Yes, Veen and Shab's "sister school"...
The first two weeks I was there, not many teachers were around since
its the hols so my "orientation" started a bit late. I remember
the first teacher I met was one of the senior teachers :)
A very nice lady, very welcoming.
Though I really like the school the moment I step in,
doesn't look like those typical schools you see out there
it just has that old-time feel you know... y'know the kind that I loike? hehe
My first few days were quite routine, trying to know how the school
works, who is who, and all the yadayadayada
The following week - that's when all the teachers
came back, all the introductions began...
After that I got busy with the H1N1 duties -
yeah I was in complete uniform
the yellow coat thingy
mask
gloves
thermometer
minus my scalpel hehe
Got to know the students through this period
and they called me
the Temperature-taking teacher -_-"
there was this girl who came to me one day and asked for a mask
and i asked what do you need it for?
she said, i have a stomach ache.
and i was like
You need a mask for your tummy?!
-_-'' after the whole H1N1 thingy
my conclusion is
The kids at CCPS have a fetish for masks.
Why?
cos we found our masks supply reducing day by day and some are
just smart enough not to ask for permission
and went into Fitness Room to do the honour of taking the masks by themselves!
You see, they find it cool to put on that thing that makes you perspire
around your mouche area...
*shakes head*
Anyway now, more than 6 months on -
yes I'm happy
to be in the school, feel very much settled.
And luckily got a few buddies around my age haha!
My first thought was - Oh no, most teachers here are around
my mum's age or even more, but then
I met two younger teachers who just graduated from NIE
so luckily, they're gonna be around long enough..
and now there are few more contract teachers,
one of whom I happen to befriend during my primary school days :)
Aneesa!
Doesn't get any better than this!
A friend from TP landed the Multimedia Educator job in the same school!!
Momokz!
Perfect.
Work definitely hasn't been a breeze.
Whoever says work is, isn't working.
Period.
But I won't complain. I got what I asked for and I'm happy.
And I'm surrounded by beautifully amazing people - minus the NOOBS.
Oh yes, we have specially-made NOOBS.
We have one whose without that little thing our Mummys taught us when
we were little kiddies.
Yes correct... it's called COURTESY.
It's that thing which should come off naturally when someone has offered
help to you, and you're supposed to automatically know what should be the rightful
thing to do. It's basic you see. *sigh... Unfortunately... -_-"
And we have another who is as plastic as Plastic could ever be.
That didn't make sense.
But never mind, you all get me.
Even if you don't, just pretend you do okay?
:)
I will slowly introduce everyone.
The School
The People
aneesa, moi, hajar, rohini, sapiya, deline baghs, jessie
amelia, moi
hanis, moi, rohini, farhana, sap
momokz, aneesa, rohini, moi, hanis
half of sap, aneesa, moi, eda, momokz, faezah's leg, rohini, raihana's head, farhana
oh and how could I forget - the CCPEs in my batch!
eeling, christine, irfan, denise, shaiful, fuzah, ayuni
moi, azre, shammy, azirah, nasrin, yati
one person missing - wahidah
Actually I wanna go on about this Starlight Camp and how
the school counsellor has been superb to me
but I wanna sleep now...
especially to Veen
I promise I'll update again!
I will continue again tmr okay... I am officially retiring to my royal bed chamber..
Nites Nitess ;)

25 May 2009: Went for Interview at Aspire
Besides the interview,
Victor mentioned about the e-yearbook which
he needed me to help design for the layout, I was still
fresh out of Comwerks, I had no issues with design...
just squirmed at the idea of designing agn cos you
see... I actually needed a break badly from design
aft the whole horror of FYP and ....
let's leave it there shall we :)
26 May 2009: Signed contract
then met with another CCPE, Norl who
was supposed to pass me contents and
pictures for the ebook
27 May 2009 onwards:
Was working from home with the laptop
from Aspire to work on the designs and all the load
DEADLINE to be ready for WORKPLAN PRESENTATION:
15 Jun 2009
DEADLINE FOR ME:
4 June 2009
You know why? because the next day I'm off to Penang, like really the next morning 7am kinda thing
And so at 9 am 3rd July I had the layouts ready and was rushing to
the Toa Payoh HQ office (READ TOA PAYOH)to load into Desktop Authoring software
from that morning till hehe 10.30pm
I was in the office with Victor watching and waiting... OMG pressure or what to have
the MD keeping tabs on you haha
So finally at 10.30 I left the office, Victor and his daughter were the
last to leave I think..
Meanwhile at home, I didnt know what havoc I had caused
cos Mum was like dead worried and that worry spread to Oti's place
They called my phone... but as usual THE PHONE DIED ON ME WHEN I NEEDED IT THE MOST!!
When I got off the bus, Hazim was there waiting by the playground and
he said,"You're dead. Mum is so so worried." Luckily when I went up, she was more relieved than angry
so I didnt get it bad :) After that rushed to pack!!
Nothing was out, no clothes, camera, toiletries, nothing was ready! The next morning... Let's move to Penang!!
Sunday, May 17, 2009 ( 12:50 AM )
Jai Ho! and Saaki is over!!
There were 2 shows tonight,
though I'd like to think that the first one never happened haha
In short, let's just say the first one was horrifying.
For this, the guest of honour was Prof Jayakumar.
There was some screw up with the audio also, so
I just want to forget this one.
So anyway after the first show,
we rushed to the next one, which was nearby/
This time its our redemption time
for the disappointment before.
AND THIS TIME ROUND
ALMOST ALL OUR FAMILY MEMBERS WERE THERE!!!
yes including our extended family members.
EVERYONE!!
so scary man!
For pictures, go to this facebook link la ok.
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2562915&op=4&o=global&view=global&subj=658992244&id=697281336#/photo.php?pid=2562922&id=697281336
I'm so lazy to post it up :)
Best thing that happened to me after the show was
Fishy saying this,
"I'm so happy to have you in my life, You look so pretty"
then he gushed... so cute!! and he hugged me
I almost melted after he said that haha
And that was his exact words!! My little brother is soo sweet!!
Haha one of the rarest nice moments
I have as a sister...
Penang up next!

*UPDATED
Oooh Aaaachooo!!
Sooo many cobwebs here!
Updates in progress.
The Kecik Gang is slowly decreasing!!!
And thats not a good sign!
Kak Dhila got engaged yesterday,
and its like 1 member down,
4 to go...
If you have no idea what I am talking about,
well I am talking about my cousins.
Each one of them are getting engaged and married
ITS SCARY I TELL YOU!!!
We're losing our members
Its times like now that I don't want to
be older and start work and think about marriage
and stuff!!
Haiz...
Maybe I'm living too much in the past

Hahaha I was laughing with Hazim
looking at all our silly pictures!!
Anyway I don't care no matter how old
we will all be,
We'll always remain the Kecik Gang =)
AND I LOVE ALL OF YOU
To my dear Fab 4,
You know who you are
and though we might not meet often,
have misunderstandings or what nots
I've stressed again and again
that I will not meet another Fab 4 again
after you guys
and though I've never said it
I love you guys alot
(omg I just said it -_-'')
And last but definitely not the least,
my dear Perfect 10 haha!
My days in TP got better and better
each year
Of course lets not talk about the projects
they are killing us slowly
but with you guys around, it just made it
a little easier to handle
and I hope this friendship doesnt end with our graduation
Love you guys!

I think SMSes are the root of all evil
(or MSN chatting for that matter)
a simple sms can cost you dearly
cos you see, you cant really imagine the tone of the person sending the sms
and then it could get real ugly if the person reading misunderstands you
Actually its really a matter of how the other party takes it
you could say it without meaning anything...
but the person reading might take it ure being rude, insensitive or sarcastic
kinda sad but yea... technology is much advanced that it can
make or break you in the case
if ure either talking to ur boss, parents, colleagues, friends or family
I got reminded about this issue after I read the paper today
about the difference between hearing, listening and understanding
and btw this post is not intended
to harm or pin-point to anyone in anyway
so
tata to those who bother
Tuesday, May 05, 2009 ( 2:30 PM )
U know what Zak...
I agree with what you said
I had that same thoughts...
I have said it before, in one of my entries...
though it wasn't direct
That aside
I think its about time we talk things out, all of us
Face to face is best..
Your understanding(s) are greatly appreciated. Thank You.

GENTING TRIPThe Genting Trip was from 17th to 19th Mar...
We had to reach the Golden Mile place by 6:30am!!
Oh but you guess right... nope my mum, alama, fishy and myself reach
there just in time before the bus was gonna leave... at 7am..
really... wasnt my fault... no serious...
Everyone was still in lala land.. I dunno why the morning made me so hyper
anyway...had a long ride till the immigration...
I was just looking forward to watching the movies that we can play in the bus
cos I cant sleep during long journeys like that...

Look at those glum faces...
Shab: "It HAD to be in the morning!!"
Alama: "Grrr"

Ooh found a partner, Alati gave a happy face!
The journey was long and winding! We left at 7 right.. we reached ard 1plus
or 2 in the afternoon, after turning and going uphill for like
half an hour!! seriously! my head hurts man.. at first
ok la I was like cool, its so high then after 15 mins
I was like..help.. Im gonna puke! so dizzy..

and that's Hotel First World.. though it doesn't really look first world to me haha
heck la the inside was nice..

glimpse of the theme park

And our rooms (dont mind the blur yea)

Thats the aunts room plus Fishy

adjoining is our room
Kak Dayah Veen Shab and Moi

and the mist can be seen again from the hotel, was it cold or what..
no wonder in our hotel rooms, they didnt put in air cons...just fans
who needs aircons when you have a real breeze ;)
We feel in our tummies first before embarking on a shopping spree
The stuff are more expensive than in KL
then to the indoor theme park.. just an appetizer before the real thang =)
I dont know why...but there is always camwhoring haha

Off to Indoor Theme Park

Mummyji, Alama, Myself
The rest were at the front, while we wait for this "lovely" ride to end
it was kinda slow, I was getting bored..
the fun one was at the indoor roller coaster which we couldnt snap a pic..
but back to the hotel room,
happy retard on the loose!

yeah like I said... happy retard (",)

Veen, Myself, Kak Dayah, Shab
Next day, shopping again for awhile

Alati, Myself, Fishy, Veen
We almost didnt get to go to the Outdoor Theme Park...but
we did...that was really some last min pleading

The gloomy ones after our appeal for outdoor theme park was rejected
Heck it was approved after that!!
Leaving the hotel

dont look at dat too long
i am soo growing horizontally!!!
and
~Home Sweet Home~
BOLLYWOOD DANCEI didnt tell most of my friends about this...
dancing thing...it came all of a sudden anyway... so yeaa
The whole week prior to the dance, which was also the dip show week
I was damn busy rehearsing for the dance at Oti's place with Kak Suhaila, Veen and Shab
and mind you! I dont dance! I cant dance!!
Oti (Veen&Shab's Mum) wanted us to help promote her Bollywood(yes, Bollywood)
dance class at Bedok CC where we performed, that day being Earth Day also
I didnt realise dancing aches sooo bad.. -_-"
For a 3 mins song, we practised for I duno how many hours per day!
KSU, Veen and Shab had been wanting to see me dance and...
Their wish came true! In fact more than came true! They said
they want to be there the day that I finally dance
BUT NOW
I am made to dance with them!!
You seasonal experts!!
I said to them
THIS IS LIKE SUICIDE FOR ME!!!and they laughed!! -_-'' (noo...not FUNny...*hazimah stressed)
Fine at least I am dancing to a bunch of total unknowns...
OH BUT NOooOOO
Our family members including our extended family members
decided to turn up and give us moral support,
which was nice
and now it just adds to the pressure!!
Darn it..
My first performance...
is damn scary or what....
I think I screwed it up a bit..
but oh well.. I'll give myself a break
my first time anyways ha
AND HAZIM!!! DONT YOU EVER REPEAT "SAAKI SAAKI SAAKI!"
LIKE THAT EVER AGAIN!!
Its been playing in my mind!
I'll never listen to Musafir's Saaki the same way again haha

Our Flying Moment

Yeah The End!

The relieved faces after dance...
After the dance, Oti treated us dinner to LJS, Hazim included. And again, the next day,
Sunday, to Swensens at T2! Cool or what! I dont mind dancing agn
if this is the case haha!
Important thing is, I had a blast with the girls...
no matter how much I complained, I enjoyed my time with the girls alot!!
well...minus the aching :)
Monday, March 30, 2009 ( 10:57 PM )
Ok I have 3 posts that I should have updated about eons ago
1) Abg Izad's Wedding
2) Genting Trip
3) Bollywood Dance (oh yes...)
ABG IZAD'S WEDDINGI'll go with the wedding first.
The nikaah was on Friday, 13 March 2009.
Saturday, the 14th was the wedding at the girl's side...
a few tearful moments there when Ami Ajis broke down,
the Aunties were all so calm but they were all teary eyed
and Shab! At first her face maintained...then suddenly
she cannot tahan and then it was all over flowing...
I don't remember whether Veen was tearing...
we all knew how much arwah Mami wanted to see Abg Izad get married,
but she didnt get a chance to...
~
Anyway, after awhile we went back to
Lorong Sarina and rested and watched my hero Krrish for awhile on TV
then everyone slacked around before going home
to prepare for the next day, the wedding ceremony here at the guy's side, 15th Mar 09.
There was this thing Shab said about my uncle's side of the family
who
(YES KSU I SO AGREE!)is amongst the most ignorant ppl in the world!
And yah that cousin of theirs, that hip-hop wannabe guy
actually looked more like one of the teletubbies! (in a non cute way)
They even got a song that Shab specially composed for them
and it goes like this
go,go,go
go briyani its our favourite,
we like to eat like nobody's business
we're called the gedabak
cause we are so big!haha ok inside joke..
SO on the 15th it was our turn to entertain the guests
My family arrived at Lrg Sarina ard 10 plus I think
pity the cook.. actually spent the whole nite cooking according to veen and shab
who slept over there
anyway my family ate a bit first before the guests arrived
then went inside to check on everyone
This time for our family member wedding is a bit different,
instead of the usual
kompang or
bhangra,
we had
samra, an arabic form of dancing,
and the singer was our very own cousin, Abg Yazid...
I never heard him sing before and boy does he have
a great voice or what, I think thats a very nice thing he did for his
brother's wedding
btw i think hazim's a bit disappointed he didnt get
the cook's daughter's number haha,
i remember him asking me over and over again about her!!
(haha he's sooo gonna kill me if he knew i wrote this)
anyway here are some pictures..
this was on the 14th, when we were going to the girl's side

The Wedding Car
At the Bride's Side

Kak Dayah and Sheikh Md Hannan

Siti Helwa Asyura

Oh no need for introductions here

Kak Syida, Layla Isabella Rakowski, Big Al, Shabana

Kak Farhana and a little of Shab's pissed face there;)

I think she's trying to smile now

Abg Izad and gang arrives
After the whole thing at the girl's side, we went back...
oh wait... I've told this part before anyway
the next day on the 15th on our side...

Uzair was playing at the
pelamin/ dais with Layla

Ok here's the real bride and groom

I think it was his dream to wear something like that, like a general, major or warrior
something like that...

Then the Malay outfit

Then the Indian outfit
and yes, we're happy for you Abg Izad..
You're married now!

And that, on the red carpet is what they call the
samra,
a bunch of men dancing, I think...
and lemme give a clue, the Gedabaks are nearby, and if you remember
the hip-hop wannabe guy, just try to find those big shades

Abg Yazid here is singing with his group
Listen Helwa and Hannan, Dadday can sing!

And of course here are my 3 darlings
Kak Suhaila, Shabana, Parveen

Sorry Jimbo, the person you're looking for is not there...

Abg Izad dancing off to a song, with one of the singers

Layla, still very blur after she woke up,
and Helwa as cheerful as ever

Ooooh yea...oookk

My very own American football, Hannan nannan!
He's so round, he reminds me of football!

And that's the
berkat,
you know I was more than happy to be the beta tester of the
berkatsAnd from what I have tested, they have been approved!
and that's also what the Gedabaks were fighting for! darn!

After the wedding we kinda slacked again,
Parveen and Ksu

Shab and Me
Helped around for awhile with the stuff to pack and give to ppl,
speaking of which omg the Gedabaks...
its like they have this commandment in their heads
thou shalt always think of Biryanithou shalt not care about othersother than thous' own Gedabaks breedThese ppl are sparking off our creativity man!
and btw Shab, Jimbo made a continuation of your song in a rap
let's hear it
go,go,go
go briyani its our favourite,
we like to eat like nobody's business
we're called the gedabak
cause we are so big!we like to move it and shake it like thatwe are the Gedabaks and that's a factwe eat our biryanis like what the heck!Biryani world this is where it's at!Okay call us mean but what the heck! haha
I don't recall how many plastic bags each of them were carrying
how do we give the rice to our guests if you and your bunch took a whole load away?!
BAGHAL
another thing about weddings...
you will always somehow or another
be introduced to people you have never met in your life
and they will be like
Oooooh!! Sooo grown up! Have you finished school?
And you're like
Oooooh! I don't know youuu!
Ok but what came up was some
silly crappy words..
haizz..
Okaaay...I'll continue the Genting Trip and the Bollywood Dance soon...
Ciaoooz!
to those who bother
