A Very Merry Christmas!!!

Our dearest friend, Michelle and her fiance Umut came to our house for our 6th Annual "Ghetto" Christmas Cookie Tradition. Michelle has shared this tradition with us 4 of the 6 Christmases! This was Umut's first year, and he definitely has a artistic flair, with his cookies putting our "ghetto" cookies to shame! The boys love Miss Michelle and they had so much fun and SO MUCH SUGAR that night!

We were so blessed to have Dot Dot, my grandma to visit with us from Georgia.

Happy New Year!

Happy Birthday Denny! Happy New Year 2010! What a decade, huh? Personally for me, I graduated college, moved around to four states, changed careers, got married and was blessed with the gift of motherhood. Talk about significant milestones in a girl's life! I hope this year I can learn to savor one day, one moment at a time and hopefully life won't seem to fly by so fast.
Speaking of life happening so fast, I know its been a while since we have posted on the blog. Honestly, I just can't keep up. I am currently teaching dance part-time at a conversatory three nights a week. Denny plays in the church's praise band along with another band in our neighborhood and of course the boys keep us busy enough! Not to mention, we don't have internet, a computer or time to blog!
But I will try to be better at posting recent pics of the boys! They are growing and changing each day. Amazing little men, they are.

Experimenting....

Those of you who know me well, know that I have been saving over a year now to buy DSLR. Well, it finally happened. I am always carrying that camera with me...so much that Beau pretends his flashlight is his camera. So, the following posts will contain NUMEROUS pictures of the boys, whom of course, as the mother I am so proud of. But they also stage great "impromptu" scenes for me to experiment with my camera.
I do not claim to be great, or even an amateur at that. I have already told myself, that this will be the one area in my life that I will NOT expect perfection. Just simply to enjoy capturing life, the way I see it, in pictures. And maybe, just maybe it will teach me that imperfection is what really matters.

Denny's hand-I love this one because you can see his wedding ring.

At Nee Nee & Pee Pee's House

We spent last Saturday at Nee Nee and Pee Pee's house. The boys always have so much fun getting dirty and eating way too much sugar over there. But, I have to say it was alot of fun for me to experiment with my new camera. And some of the pictures, are just priceless in my opinion.

"Something's missing..."

Birthday Fun

Brandon's Cake was so adorable and yummy too!
The kiddie-size bouncy thing was the hit of the party!

I just loved the way the sunlight was coming in from behind him.

Birthday Boy Brandon and his Daddy.

The following is a sequence of pictures I took after I simply asked Beau if he needed any help putting on his party hat. True to Beau fashion (& 3 yr. old ), he plainly told me he could do it. So, I thought ok, let's just see how this goes...then, I thought to get it in pictures. The poor shutter on my camera was exhausted by the time I was finished. And these were taken one after the other, IN ORDER!!! As always, Beau finishes what he starts! Good job, little man.

"Access the situation"

"Nope, not like this."

"Ok, I need to be able to see..."

"Ok...its on my head..."

"Almost..."

"Got it!"
"Just checking.."

"How'd he do that?"

Bliss...

The Definition of Beau is ...

HANDSOME! Now, this is not just a mother talking...just look it up in Webster's Dictionary. Old Webster will agree too.

(Beau fell down on his face onto the concrete while kicking a ball)

Rainy Day Inside

We have had alot of rain lately here. Too much, I think. So, leaving two active little boys, and one stir-crazy mom, shut indoors. Not to mention, Cade and I coming down with Strep Throat didn't make being indoors any more fun either. So, we built a fort in the dining room. I remember making forts at my Nanny's house all the time and it was so much fun. So, here's to tradition!

Does anyone see mischief in this face???

My sweet Cade.

July 4th 2009

The 4th of July was our third time participating in Spring Hill's 4th of July Kids Parade. This year we had the addition of Cade's Bi-Plane along with Beau's plane that Beau and Cade's grandpa (Pee Pee) handcrafted. The parade was led by Fire Trucks and a Marching Band that ended at the City Park. There we enjoyed free McDonald's food and drinks, ice cream and of course, playing on the park.
We, then went to the Airport for airplane rides in Pee Pee's plane. After much needed naps, the we went to Paw Paw's house for BBQ chicken and pork and sparklers!!!
