Hi!
Just stopping by to post the winner of my blog giveaway.
First I wanted to say that you all are REALLY observant. I should have reviewed the post thoroughly before it went live because you all caught a lot of mistakes. Because of the date/time error, I went ahead and accepted all the entries :)
The error in the post was that I did not make the third card. Claudia Shadler did. The clue was that there was no watermark on that card. But sheesh, you guys picked up on some seriously smart stuff like that there WERE hearts on all 3 cards and so much more.
Thanks for playing along!
AMY KOLLING! you win. I will be contacting you to get your address and send you your prize courtesy of Claudia herself!

Mission Ignition #5 and a Goodbye
For my very last Mission Ignition, I thought I would make a VIDEO showing how the twine technique I used to make this card (some of you asked about it and I couldn't go without doing it):
Here is a close up of one of the cards I made for A Blog Named Hero.
I want to thank Mary Dawn and Linda for a great term. I had so much fun exploring color with you all. I am going on vacation to Florida tomorrow. I will see you all when I return in a week or so :)
Paper Smooches Sparks Picture Perfect July

I also used the matching dies. The word bubbles are from Penny Black.
I like to get my stash at i {heart} papers. They are having a sale...in case you were wanting to get some deals!
Here is the photo. Can you see my inspiration? the yellow circle and the black shadow underneath? It's not rogue is it?? I really thought I was being NORMAL this time!
And the marvelous design team contributions..

Sketchbook Saturday Guest Designer and Being Awesome
My blogging friend Chupa has a sketch posted live every Saturday and you can play along. This time she invited me to join her. Did anyone tell her I kind of stink at sketches? They scare me, but the fear comes from the unknown of it. So my goal for 2013 is to do more sketches and conquer the fear!
Here is the sketch:
Funny, I kind of designed a card that looks like the sketch HERE, but I didn't know it was a sketch at the time! (Maybe I am a sketch person after all?) So anyway, I had to come up with a new design...
I used a scrap piece left over from a card to make the vellum overlay. You can see the card and a video I did to create this HERE.
Supplies:
Stamps: Amuse Grunge Sunrays, Stampin Up! 5th Avenue Floral
Dies: PTI Headline alphabet, Penny Black Butterfly
Ink: Distress Ink Barndoor Red,
Other: zing white embossing powder , versa mark, gold gems, gold polka dot paper
If you want to play along with the sketch, check out her blog!
So it's been a while since we talked about the blogging handbook. This is where I discuss my blogging journey with you as there is no handbook. So how are you all doing out there? Are you feeling good about the art you are creating? the recognition you are or are not getting?
Me? Well blogging is a bit like life really. It feels like a roller coaster. Sometimes a bunch of great opportunities happen and I feel like a rockstar. And then there are times NOTHING happens and I feel like no one likes me (or my work) and a total LOSER! There are weeks that I am so busy, lots going on and the social calender is full. I think, wow, I am just awesome. And then someone cancels or one of my kids has a bad day and I feel so NOT AWESOME.
In those times, I try to remember this:
Cuz I am a glass half full kind of gal :) there is always AWESOME ahead, just got to keep marching forward.
Ok pep talk over. Go make a card, call a friend, kiss your kids and be awesome!

Guess What's Wrong With This Post For a PRIZE...RIC #40
Let's talk Runway Inspired Challenge...
This weekend I got to hang out with my blogging buddy Claudia Shadler. We ate Mexican, shared conversation and crafted to our hearts content. Good times were had by all! While together I made some cards for the RIC challenge and came up with these finalists...
If you look at the dress really close, you can see that the heart has some kind of beading on it. So I zoomed in on that!
And then the heart was too small...
And with no heart at all...
Running out of time, I settled for card #2. The design team always has me second guessing myself. If you feel inspired and want to win a $25 prize by sponsor, Ellen Hutson, join in!
you MUST check out the DT this week...it's jaw dropping good...AND the guest designer this week is THE Kristina Werner!!!
Aga (on maternity leave)
Jennifer (card will be coming later this week)

Color Throwdown and a Question by Christine Duffy!
The Color Throwdown challenge blog will be celebrating its 5th anniversary with its 250th challenge on Wednesday, July 10 and IHP will be donating a $25 gift certificate. Since I am on the i {heart} papers design team, I thought I would participate too!
Colors are equivalents of SU's Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Kraft, and So Saffron. SU! colors aren't required even though those are the color names that get used for challenges--just use what you have that's close to the challenge colors.
Here's what I "threw down"
I used some Lifestyle Crafts Quickutz cutting dies to create the ocean waves. the kraft represents sand and well the rest is self explanatory!
Come join the fun at the Color Throwdown and win a GC to i {heart} papers
I am also entering this card in the July Paper Crafts July Gallery Challenge. The theme is nautical.
**Lastly: I got this comment on my blog and wanted to answer, but Christine Duffy, you didn't leave your email so I could write you back!! So hopefully you will read this!
"I just started following and so excited to see the wonderful things you do, please tell me what is the ink you used in stamping winterberries on PBB?"
Answer: I used Colorbox chalk ink in Chestnut Roan! Thanks for your kind words :)

PSS Designer Drafts July
Trying to accomplish cute but still keep my personal style, I came up with this card for the Paper Smooches Sparks Designer Draft Challenge.
I used the negative of a cloud die and then used some of the smaller images of the knick knacks set from Paper Smooches to create the inside of the clouds. And in case you didn't get that they were clouds, I put some blue die cut clouds popped up on there too.
Check out the amazing design team :)

RIC #39
This is my second post of the day. For my I Heart Papers Blog Hop Post, scroll down, or click HERE.
Ok this one was tough! My inspiration for the latest RIC came from her belt buckle...but I did take some liberties. I turned the buckle verticle and made the black image oversized because I thought it worked well for the design. But Tasnim asked if the butterfly represented her hair and well I didn't even think of that, but I am gonna pretend I did and go with that idea! HA!
the butterfly is from Penny Black.
Aga (on maternity leave)
the winner gets a GC to Simon Says Stamp!
So I am leaving you with a recipe today. I made Roasted Beef Tenderloin from Giada Delaurentis and it's DELICOUS! You can find the recipe HERE.
Happy Crafting and Happy Cooking :)
