No one has been updating the band's blog, i wonder why. Is it becoz you guys (current band members of the main band), don't have the password ? If any of you want it you just gotta get a blogger account n we'll add you up. (:
N yeah regarding the alumni band thingy as seen on the tagboard, i don't know who Evan is but I'm certainly excited about the tagboard which explains why I'm actually taking the time to blog here. It's been three years since i've been away from band. Geez will i still be able to play my instrument ? Ha...

(: yupps. i know i barely go back to bds nowadays.. i have my own commitments. and i hope you guys will understand this. sometimes when i'm free.. you guys have no practice.. and sometimes when i free.. i have some other things on. it's hard to find time to go back nowadays.. although i very much wanted to go back. yarh.. hahas.

Hey hey bds band, i'm finally updating ok, Kristeena here. I wonder how many of the current band members knows me, i think less than five. Anyway i just wanna let you guys know that band is still the most wonderful time of my four years in secondary, i very much miss my sec ONE days. Why secondary one ? Cos that was the first time i ever held a real orchestra instrument and when i got posted to clarinet section as recommended by Janelle and Sharon to the then conductor Mr Lee, i was soooooo happy ok !
Current band members, SYF 2007 just ended, so fast, four years ago i had my 1st and last SYF, now already two bronze medals in year '05 and '07, time flies ! Cherish your time in band and do not take things for granted ok.
Mr Jais is no longer at BDSCB, and i no longer know my juniors in band so no point in going back Bedok South anymore, but do wish that one day i can still be part of the alumni band if there are plans to form one. Doubt so anyway la... Hope the current conductress is ok, i don't really like her but whatever, she managed to sustain the bronze award but just a guess, it most probably was a lower bronze.
Nevertheless, don't give up hope.
The sky is the limit.
To my most beloved clarinet section, i miss my seniors, my juniors and i miss my old batch of band members ! Where are you guys !!!

hmm.. i can see that you all seems to be quite blur about what i've said.. i'll just briefly say what we're gonna do and please cooperate with us alright? thanks... :) PURPOSE : GATHER ALL THE ALUMNIS BACK TO BDS BAND TO HELP OUT FOR NEXT YEAR SEC ONE ORIENTATION.. :)HOW : GO BACK TO THE BAND AND HELP THE CURRENT BAND, PLUS TO FIND THE MOST SUITABLE PIECE FOR US, THE ALUMNIS TO PLAY.. :)we need to help to bring upp the current band's standard and also to brush upp on the alumnis skills, therefore, we need all of you to give us your time, to help out for this plan.. the band will grow together as one.. :)for further details, i will discussed it with rasyidi first before blogging it here.. so keep yourself updated from the band's blog or approach me in MSN - cs_1588@hotmail.com thanks. :)take care to all... :)

hellos to all.. but this post here is not meant for the whole band.. it's for the ALUMNIS.. hopefully after all the alumnis read my blog, they will give me a response ASAP.....
DEAR ALUMNIS OF BEDOK SOUTH CONCERT BAND...
I NEED YOU TO CONTACT EITHER ME OR RASYIDI..
we both have something important to do.. for the band.. next year during the orientation.. so we require full cooperation.. in order to make this whole plan a successful one. therefore, we have you guys will give us your support and help us..
as you all know, the band is no longer as good as before, now, it's time for the all the alumni s to come back and lend them a helping hand.. we saw mr jais's hardworks, we know his love for the band.. even for those who was with the last time conductor, please, you all know how hard they tried to bring upp the band, now thatthe band is like this, i hope, we can all stand together as one, to bring the band upp again, i suppose everyone of us don't wanna fail either mr jais or the conductor before him, so, let's get together and work as one..
so i hope, all of you will contact either me or rasyidi, we need you guys back to the band....
also, we need to know, either on monday or wednesday, which is the date that ALL of us is able to go back to the band TOGETHER... so please.. contact us and let us know.. thank you very much..

hellos band.. cheesim here.. i didn't visit band's blog for very long.. and when i'm back here today, i saw the tagger in our tagboard.. well.. my beloved band members.. let's not be affected by that person.. we shouldn't be.. remember what mr.jais always tell us? that we must never be provoked by people who try to stir trouble for us? that the only thing we could do is to prove them wrong? let's not forget mr.jais's words. though he's left us, but please don't let his spirit in our heart gone. he really want us to make it to the top one day.. and i, believe the band will too. so don't give up yourself, don't give up the band.. the band needs everyone of you to be there. eveyone of you is important in the band, so no matter how good/bad you are in playing, you are part of the family. you'll never be forgotten. Bedok South Concert Band will not look down on people who don't play well. cause, IT'S NOT BECAUSE THEY CAN'T PLAY WELL, IT'S BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH PRACTISE.. everyone can be a great player when they practise hard.. they will be able to make it to the top.. people who plays well doesn't they'll be the best forever.. so don't look down on the weaker ones. instead, the stronger and better ones should lend their helping hands and help to improve the standard of the band.. so, hand in hand.. the band will move forward as ONE UNITED BODY. the band needs EVERYONE.. not INDIVIDUAL.. it's the same now when it comes to dealing with the trouble maker in the tagboard.. we must stay together as one, so that he/she will never be able to harm the band, emotionally. it's obvious that this person is trying to get us angry and make us sounds like an ill-bred child in the taggie.. cause he/she thought that we'll be using vulgarities and etc. so let's prove that person wrong by staying as the civilised band members we used to be.. let's not get agitated over this kind of nuisance created by some stranger who doesn't even wanna show his/her real identity.. we did nothing wrong that's why we're showing our identity.. as for those who don't, let's just regard them as people who are timid, who likes to create trouble but dare not face the consequences.. and what do we call such people? well, the only word in mind is 'loser'. it sounds uncivilised, but this is the only word that i think an uncivilised person like him/her will understand.. words that are too 'chim' they don't understand mahh.. so use simpler words for them lohh. hahas. okays. let's see what this person can do alrights? and band, remember, as long as we don't retaliate, we won the war and bring ourselves proud.. so band, let me be proud of you guys always.. :) take care to all and i love you all.[[ cheesim / flautist, drum-majorette 2004 ]]

Heard about the bad news... this entry is more like a tribute to Mr Jais...Mr Jais... gone like that... after several years with bdscb... he's now gone... although i'm not in this band long, i know how much love Mr Jais has given us... even though he might shout at you, its all for our own good... kristeena is right... have we really cherished Mr Jais? humans always tend to cherish only when they lost it...i came to bds... not completely innocent... i've got problems of my own... that's why i transferred to bds... but Mr Jais guided me along... giving me confidence and assurance in everything i do... Mr Jais is more like a father than a conductor... he cares for his children, us...remember Jeremiah? remember his flaws and bad things? Mr Jais always talked to him nicely... even came to the house to visit him... wanting to know how's he doing... cos Jeremiah hasn't been coming to band practice... which conductor is so fatherly?during teachers day... peiliang and me did the speech... speech was written by kristeena... a speech for Mr Jais... i know some of you cried... so touched, by what he's done for us... i wanted to cry too, but i was on stage... couldn't do that... hahaha...yes... and like kristeena said... don't destroy this band... everything that we've put our heart and soul in... i came to love this band because of Mr Jais and the banditz... without the band... i'll be a wandering soul in bds... band added colours to my life... so please work hard, and achieve something good for Mr Jais... and for yourself too...i maybe always joking in band... but please... when is time to be serious... please be serious.... and i know its not easy leading the band for the majors... so banditz, please listen to them... frankly, i think the band standard has drop too... ask yourself this... are you guys happy with the standard now? do you think you can achieve silver this time round? for syf... make a difference in bdscb... attend practices... if you really have no heart for band... den just quit lah... band is for really devoted ppl like cheesim, kristeena and all...so i hope you all will work well with the new conductor... i know its difficult... heard that most of you dislike her... cos she just changes everything in band... just bear with it... always remember, band spirit is important... one band, one sound...x - Bubufire - x
