California (part2)

Dennis the Menace Playground

Just a few blocks from Tiffany's house is a fun park.

There were a lot of activities for the kids to do.

There favorite was this long slide. It is made of hundreds of little tubes that role.
My favorite part was the train. This was also the scariest part because my kids have no fear. They were climbing all over this thing with out a care in the world.

Benson and I climbed to the very top to get our picture taken.

California (part 1)

When Tiffany moved to California, she made sure to let her nephews and niece know how wonderful it was there, and then told them to ask their parents everyday, "When are we going to visit Aunt Tiffy" Her evil plan worked. Kristen and her kids, me and my kids, and my Mom all went to visit Tiffany for the weekend.

It was a long 13 hour drive, and so we stuck Mema in the back to entertain the kids.
*insert evil grin here*
We made it to Monterey California very early on Friday morning. We had been there about 10 minutes, and some people came to the door and informed us of a tsunami warning. They explained that the evacuation was not mandatory, but told us places we could go if we wanted to. It was suggested that anyone with in 4 blocks of the coastline evacuate. We were 2 blocks away, so we decided to go inland for a few hours.

Everything turned out just fine, and a few hours later, we were back at the coastline to visit Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Measuring up against a baby whale. None of us even came close.
Plan 2. Stacking on top of Mom to see if we were tall enough. Tiffany came the closest, but we still weren't tall enough.

Itty Bitty Soccer

Today was Benson's first day of Itty-bitty Ball. He has been so excited to learn new sports with kids his own age.

About 5 min into the class he decided there were too many kids around, and he got scared. So I had to go around from station to station with him.

In the end, he had a lot of fun learning how to play soccer.
