St George Traditions

We go to St George to visit a few times a year, and a few traditions have started.

The kids favorite is Judd's candy store.
It is an old fashion ma n' pa type shop and the kids love it.
While we were there another customer ordered strawberry shakes. The kids watched in aw as they were prepared. It was cute to see them all lined up in a row.

Another tradition is just for the Moms. We do a girls night out. This time it was just Heather and I. While we ate our meal, Heather continually looked at the wasabi, asking why anyone would eat it. After our meal was over, I told her if she would eat the whole chunk, I would pay for her meal. She did it, of course.

Immediately after that, we had to run to Applebee's and get her a shake to calm her stomach.

Christmas Stocking

While we were in St George, we had to run into Micheal's Craft store for a minute. When we saw cute foam paper stockings, inspiration struck and we had to have them.

We grabbed the stockings and some Christmas stickers and let the kids create their own.
They all turned out cute, and the kids were excited to hang them over the fire place.

Red Rocks

Bop loves the red rocks down in St George.
Every time we go down for a visit, he asks if we can go there for a picnic.
They do more playing then eating while we are there.
Burner decided to live dangerously (and scare Mom) by climbing steep tall rocks.

We went with the Osness Family, and all the kids had a great time. They kept getting in a pose then asking us to take their pictures. They are all models in training.

Building a Snowman

This weekend we discovered that Lowes has building activities for kids on Saturdays.
So we headed over and built a snowman.

They give you the precut pieces and the kids get to nail them together and decorate them.

Here is Bop and Burner with their finished masterpieces

We went with our friends, the Osness family.
Here is some pictures of all the kids showing off their snowman.
They also got a free Lowes apron that you can see the kids showing off in the above pictures.

Picasso or Van Gogh

Burner loves to paint. Of all the crafts we do it, it is probably his favorite.
Here are a few of his masterpieces

Today he got to paint a new treasure box. Any one want to guess what he put in it.

Paint, of course.

Here is the treasure box that Bop made. He put Bakugans in his.

Fire Safty

We finally got some fire ladders for the upstairs bedrooms.
The boys are scared to death to use them, so we did a little practicing.

First Snow of the Season

Last week we had our first snow fall of the season.

The boys looked outside and got really excited. They ran around the house telling everyone. Then Bop looked out and saw that Dad's car was covered in snow. He said, " Mom we should go clean it off for him". We got dressed in our coats and boots and ran outside. The boys and I worked fast and had the car warm and clean before Dad had to leave.
I was ready to go inside and sip on some hot chocolate, but...

the boys wanted to keep working. They headed out on the deck and started shoveling.

I am glad that I have raised such hard workers.

Halloween

With Halloween being on a Sunday, it was more of a Halloween weekend, instead of a Halloween day.

Friday, we got dressed up and went to Uncle W's work to go trick or treating.

Bop has been asking for weeks if he could go Trick or Treating with his cousins,
so Friday night we headed over to their house.
(Harry Potter) D, (Bumblebee) Orange, (Dora) Apple,
(Batman) Bop, (Cow) Burner, (Cleopatra) Mom

On Sunday we had family over for a dinner, Bop and I made the cake.
