Burner is a little young to be assigned chores.

That doesn't stop him from assigning himself chores.
His favorite thing to do is...

take out the garbage.

I don't know why he likes it so much, but if I leave a garbage bag on the floor for 1 minute, he is running up to take care of it.

Time with Aunt Pig

There are so many great things about living with Aunt Pig.

But one of them is the fun projects that she lets Bop and Burner, help with.

Recently Aunt Pig planted some herbs, and she was more then happy to let the boys help, and teach them a little about gardening.

Pirate Pizza

We tried Pirate Pizza a few years ago when we were down south. The food was mediocre, but the atmosphere was fun so we gave it another go.

This time around, the food was mediocre, but Dad thinks it is better then Chuck E Cheese, I disagree.

The service might just be the worst service we have ever had.

The atmosphere was super fun. Burner was a little nervous at first, but both the boys loved it, and they didn't care about the horrible service, and blah food.

Traumatic Experience, but for whom?

I took Bop in for his Kindergarten check-up and this is how it went.

He hid under the table screaming he didn't want a shot. I can only imagine how bad it would have been, if he had realized he was getting 4.

In the end, I had to hold him down, the Dr. held his hands, and the nurse gave him the shots.

It was a very traumatic experience, for both of us.

Well I feel stupid for not knowing that.

At first glance, this might not look like much, but look closer.
It is a train-style truck.

Each item of furniture is a new trailer for the truck.

Okay now for the reason I posted this picture.
You see the small table behind Bop? It was the last item added.

Bop came up to me with it, and asked "Where he should put this?".
I replied, "Just attach it to the end".
Bop *looking disgusted at me* says, "Mom this is a table, it doesn't have a trailer hitch on it" Hmmm well don't I feel stupid for not knowing that.

Dinorific

We had a family birthday party, which basically means we get together once every month or so and celebrate a bunch of peoples birthdays. I was put in charge of the cake, and so I let Bop pick the cake he wanted. Here is what we came up with.

I am pretty sure that the 5 yr old and 4 yr old like the cake them a lot more then the 29 year old and 60 yr old did.

Hapy St. Patricks Day

Can you believe I got everyone to put on the hat and/or the glasses?

Bop is crazy over dinosaurs lately. It is his favorite toy, and he will watch any movie or show that has dinosaurs in it.

He walks around like a t-rex and tells everyone he is a carnivore.

When Bampa brought home a chicken the other day, Bop started taring it apart just like a dinosaur would.

While watching a movie he decided this was his favorite dino.



He was thrilled when he found out the name of it is Spinosaurus, because it is so similar to his nick name of Spinny.

Mmm Mud Pie

I can't help but wonder, if I hadn't let the boys watch Cake Boss yesterday, would their mud pie have still been super-sized today?

Creative

PIzza, and Games

We had some gift cards to Chuck E Cheese, so we called up Mema...


and Bops BFF, Orange...


and headed over to play some games and eat some pizza.

Bop tried out the clock for the first time.

Friends

Earlier this week, we had our good friends from St. George come up and visit us.

We played on the Jeep ( I think we exceeded the weight limit a little)

We spent a day at the Dino Museum.

I forgot to check the weight of everyone combined on the giant scale. So we will guess it was 250lbs.



The boys liked the erosion table more then the girls. I think it was a little messy for the girls.


We went and hung out at Bampa's School.

We broke went into a kindergarten class so Bop and Jess could get an idea of what to expect next year.



When you have that many kids, no ordinary stroller will do. So why not use a freight cart?!

Safe Kids Fair part.2

The kids got to do more then just meet fun characters at the Safe Kids Fair.
They got to "drive" a Firetruck!

Even Burner got to.

Burner got to ride on a police motorcycle, but Bop didn't want to.

When we left the Fair, Bop turned to me and said, "Mom, they didn't teach us how to be safe in there" He was right, we never stopped to listen, we just ran to the next exhibit to play.

Safe Kids Fair

We were at the Safe Kids Fair for about 5 minutes before Bop said, "This is like Disneyland" and no wonder he felt that way. Look at all the characters he got to meet.

They really are good kids

As I set in the LONG lines of the DMV to get my car registered, I couldn't help but notice how good my kids were the whole time. They set in those 2 seats and played with their iTouchs the entire time.
PS I have both my cars registered in the state that I live in. Heather are you proud!?

Bunk Bed

When a little boy tells you all he wants for his birthday is a bunk bed. He is even willing to give up having his friends over for a birthday party to get it. How could you possible tell him no?

Of course I couldn't, and didn't say no. He got his bunk bed and he LOVES it.

I don't have any pics of it all put together, but here we are setting it up.


Now, we just need some friends and family to come visit and sleep in it! Hint Hint!

Bops Birthday

So I am a little behind on posting these pics, partially because the internet hasn't been working, and partially because I am a slacker.

2 days before Bops Birthday, Dad's parents came down to visit. First we went out to eat, and Bop got to open his gifts.
