Family Weekend

Last weekend Dad's Family was in town. We had so much fun
and packed a lot of things in a few short days.

Bop calls Dad's parents, Grandma and Grandpa Far Away because when he was younger he always wanted to go visit them and we would have to tell them that we can't right now because they live far away. Todd's sister and her daughter were also able to come.

Of course we went out to dinner.
Bop and Burner had to let Grandpa Far Away play with their favorite toy, Geo Tracks.

She is just a few weeks younger then Burner so they have a lot of fun together


When Grandparents are around you know you will get extra treats
Bop's number one question when Grandma and Grandpa are in town is always, "Do they have a swimming pool at the hotel" I think Grandma and Grandpa know by now that a pool is required when they come.

Bop has always been a little fish (Probably because we lived in a HOT climate for most his life).
It takes Burner a little time to get used to the pool each time.

Bop loves to jump in the pool. Burner decided to try it. Burner wasn't as graceful as Bop. Good thing Grandpa was there to catch him

Of course we had to shop! Bop and Burner got a few early Christmas Gifts. Bop's favorite by far is he new mattress and Thomas comforter. He actually asks if he can go play in his bed now.

Bop had to eat at Chuck E Cheese. He talks about it all the time and asks to go there at least once a day.


We had so much fun with them in town and are glad they were able to come.

Christmas Tree and Update

We have had an awesome weekend. Grandma and Grandpa Far Away, Aunt E and Emma were in town. (Dad's Family). We had so much fun with them and that means lots of picture to sort through. While I sort through them and decide which ones to show you, I thought I would let you see what else we have been up to.
I know you are supposed to wait until after Thanksgiving to put up Christmas, but Bop has been wanting to put it up since the day before Halloween. So of course I gave in. I have loved having it up so early and am glad I gave into him.




A few of you have been asking me how things are going here. Most of you know I HATED it here at first and was ready to move back. You will all be happy to know, I don't feel that way anymore. I can't say I LOVE it here yet, but I don't hate it anymore and I am enjoying myself. I think the move is a good one, even though it was hard at first, and I still miss all of you so much.

All Aboard

Bop has had issues sleeping in his own bed since he has been out of a crib. He has it set in his mind that he has to be able to see mom and dad's room to sleep. Because of this, he sleeps on the floor. Sometimes in his doorway, sometimes in the hall, sometimes in our doorway. He tells me he is scared to sleep when he can't see us. I of course remember being young and having bad dreams and wanting to sleep with mom and dad so I have let him get away with it.
A little while back, Bop started asking me obsessively for more Geo Tracks Trains to play with. I guess the 3 he had were not enough. We struck a deal, if he would sleep in his own bed for 10 days then I would buy him more trains. This wasn't a good deal to him, so he counter offered. If he slept in his bed for 10 days he wanted Dad to buy him new trains. Okay deal!

So it took him about 2 weeks but he did it. He got his new trains. The 4 closest, are his new ones. He loves them and plays with them daily

The best part is, he has enough to share with Burner. I think Burner loves them equally as much as Bop, if not more.

Before we moved, Bampa came home one day and said they were doing pictures at his school and if I brought the boys over they could have their pictures taken. By chance they were in matching outfits, so we ran over and got these cute shots of the boys.

Cafe

We found the cutest Cafe by our house.


It has great food that we all love to eat

best of all, 3/4 of it is a gated play area for kids.

The parents can sit and eat while the kids are allowed to play with everything from trains to dress up. They even have a small indoor playground that has a bridge and slide on it. There is a separate area for 1 and younger that is full off small things to climb and play with. Burner is a little to old for this area, but he still loved it in there. This is the coolest idea for winter play. I don't know why there isn't more places like this.

Missing his BFF

Bop used to play with his BFF almost everyday. He tells me all the time he wants to go play with him again. Any time I mention his BFF's name Bop comes running to see the new picture that was sent to me via Pic message on the cell phone. To my older sister and her adorable son. We miss you guys so much!

Cell Phone Pic's

I just took my pictures off my cell phone and uploaded them all to my computer. Here are some really cute pictures I thought I would share. Remember these are cell phone pics so they are horrible quality

For those of you who knew Bop when he was younger. You know he ALWAYS had a blanket in his mouth. He still does it now but nearly as often. In Burners never ending attempt to be just like big brother, he has started doing the same thing.


and he even uses the same blanket Bop used.

Bop has two moods. Sometimes he hates cameras, other times he can't get enough. He will sometimes pose and then yell for me to come take a picture of it.



I actually didn't take this one, it was sent to me. My friends know how much I love Rip its. I am a little addicted to them. Here my friend poses at a Rip It machine. I think this might be the only one of its kind. I wish I had a vending machine like this in my house.


This was the first snow fall of the season at Bampa's house in Utah. Not much stuck and it melted fast, but Bop wanted to go scrape off the deck with his little snow shovel, (more commonly called a putty knife)

Burner loves babies, he just doesn't know how to be soft yet. Here he is trying to be soft with his cousin


This has got to be one of my all time favorite pictures. I love how funny Bop looks in it. He got these balls from his Mema in Utah. She gave them to him right before we said goodbye (when we were moving) we sent her this picture to make her smile since she was so sad we were leaving.


Before we moved, Bampa from Utah found out that Burner loves suckers so he went and bought a BIG bag of them. Bop had no complaints.
