My baby in in the MTC
This picture is Grandpa and Grandma Ellingson and Kyle, right before Kyle was set apart for his mission.
Here is a picture of Grandma and Grandpa Nelson and Kyle right before Kyle was set apart
Kyle , Brent and I, notice Brent standing on a step above, so as to appear a bit taller than Kyle. Sorry for the sideways picture, but I do not know how to turn pictures
This is Brother Don Stitt and Kyle, Brother Stitt was Kyle's Boy Scout Leader, and a very important influence in Kyle's life. Bishop Jones, Amy, Jared and Blake were at Kyle's setting apart but they got off before I got a picture of them. This is Kyle at the airport, the last time we will get to see him for two years. I know lots of mothers have sent their baby off on a mission, and not a more wonderful thing to do, but at the same time it is still pretty hard every time I think of it. I get a little teary everyday. Kyle was so ready to get off on his mission, he was counting the days and very anxious. He was so happy to get on the airplane.
With our other four children we , as a family took them to the MTC, but with new regulations at the MTC, and with not being able to go inside, Kyle flew to Utah. Brock picked him up and they went out to dinner with Carissa, Shawn, Savannah, Porter, and Brandlyn, they then went over to Eric's house and visited cousin's for the rest of the evening. The next Day they all took Kyle to the MTC and dropped him off. Kyle's first letter came in the mail, he said he loved it, he loved being there, he loved his companion, district, learning the gospel and PE each day. Kyle was to fly to Brazil's Mission Training Center but his VISA is not here yet, so he will stay in Provo MTC until it comes Thur. I am so thankful for the opportunity that Brent and our five children have had go on missions and serve 2 years of their lives to the Lord.
