Morning Sickness for Halloween

Morning Sickness arrived just in time for Halloween this year- yeah!?  I guess it's it's at least a good sign that Crystal's still pregnant and progressing along, even if it isn't any fun.

Needless to say, our routine has changed a bit, due to neccessity.  Even though Crystal was not feeling "on top of the world," we still were able to make it to Matt and Danielle's (Brian's side of the fam) Big Halloween Bash.  They always go all out with the decorations, food, and goulish fun!  Every year, Noah (Crystal's littlest brother) looks forward to their spook alley - he will spend hours in their if you let him - it just fascinates him!  Their house was packed, as usual, with everyone from babies to grandparents dressed to the hilt in Halloween attire.  Noah came as a pirate (Aaarrrggghhhh!), little Brielle and Danielle were matching witches and Matt was a blood-sucking vampire!  Mom and Dad Hicks came in full Scottish garb and Grandpa Hicks came as himself (in his authentic aviator suit- helmet, goggles, and all!)  It was awesome!  Brian looked like he stepped straight off of "Reno 911"- it was pretty funny!  Crystal was "Cardiac Arrest" - it was a riot!

Happy Halloween!!!

Our Trip to Monterey

It is so beautiful this time of year!!!  The leaves are still changing here and are just magnificent!  Brian and I took a trip to Monterey, CA with some friends of ours and had an absolute blast!  The crisp ocean breeze, the tide pools, the marine life... we need to take trips like that more often!

Brian was our lead photographer this trip (I have more pictures of him taking pictures than he has pictures though - I know, we both have a little TOO much fun with the camera!)

I don't think I have ever had more fun in an aquarium before.  Our friends brought their puppy on the trip with us and weren't able to bring him in, so it ended up being just the two of us here.  I felt like a little kid- so much in awe and wonder -we got to play with the bat rays and everything!

Brian and The Aquarium:

This otter was so cute! He would press his nose and paws right up against the glass and "examine" us. When we put our hands up, he would come and put his little paws up next to ours! I fell in love!!!

After our time at The Monterey Bay Aquarium, we drove to some tide pools and played!
Brian's friend, Dan, is a "Traveling" Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician, so he and his wife relocate almost every month.  They had to move to their next hospital location just after we took this trip, but we sure had a lot of fun with them!
