Thanksgiving

I am so thankful for these little turkeys. I am so thankful for Ryann. She is so caring and thoughtful. She is sensative, obedient, and let's not forget how smart and beautiful she is! I am so thankful for Major he is charming and fun. He can lighten your mood in an instant. He is incredibly adorable! And I hope to be very thankful for his determination! Because it is a great quality to have.  I am so thankful for Bryce my partner in crime, my better half. He is such a hard worker, he is tactful, he is freaking hilarious. He serves and teaches with his whole heart. He is such a great dad! I am so thankful the savior, my savior because of him I will be with my family forever!

Too tired to eat

Bryce and I went to my mom's today to work on moving into her house but the kiddos wanted to stay and play with their cousins we got home at 330 and so it was just going to be one of those no nap days. Being thanksgiving eve I had a little event planned for the kids Ryann and I stuffed a Turkey for the kiddos to catch and so after all the excitement he crashed!!!

Licking war

Ryann loves to wrestle with her dad and she thinks it is so funny to try to lick him and stick her bare butt on him. I was trying to capture the moment so I told Ryann to lick his cheek, "no" she said, "they are too hairy". Haha! I love those two!

The Hoarding gene

We have been helping my mom get rid of some of her stuff so we can move into her house, and there is a lot of stuff. I use to think that is was a generation thing, which I still kind of do but then realized that it is a personally gene. I too have it. For me I don't like to waste money, and I don't like the thought of other people wasting their money. I started wondering if my gene had been passed on to my kids as well and my first thought went to major because he gets emotionally attached to things like his binky and blankets but ryann on the other hand has never really had just one thing that she loves, and i think that is because She loves all of her things! She came back from a birthday party the other day with some party favors in a plastic little bag she kept her things safe in her bag for a while but then they got new homes and the plastic bag was starting to tear because of the use. I not thinking anything of it threw the bag away and Ryann found it in the garbage and started sobbing. Another thing I found interesting is one time she came up to me and asked if I wanted her to throw her spoon away (we use plastic utinsels) yes I told her. But did you pay for it she asked. I have no idea where she came up with this concept. We live tight and we live cheep, but I have never stressed about money with her. My only explanation is that she too carries the hoarding gene. It isn't a bad thing it just means that we care deeply about things!

Jesus DOESN'T want me for a Sunbeam

I made a children's hymns mix for Ryann and Major to litsen to when we are in the car, and Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam came on. Ryann was listening to it very carefully, and told me Jesus DOESN'T want me for a sunbeam. he doesn't I asked her. No she replied he wants me just the way I am! I didn't even try to explain to her what the song meant by Sunbeam. I just had to agree with her. Ryann knows who she is and she knows that Jesus loves her. What more does she need to know!?!

Eons, Jarom, Omni

Have you ever read in the Book of Mormon and finally got to the books of Enos Jarom and Omni. (It doesn't happen to me often I usually don't get much farther than Jacob) I had a seminary teacher tell me that these men where not keeping the commandment and that they were lazy because their books were only about a chapter long. Well right now I'm feeling their sympathy. Life is busy and hard and awesome and overwhelming just to live it but then to write about it too! Yeesh! Well I recently had a wake up call. A lot of my recent pictures and videos got erased and one of my biggest fears is that these precious moments in my life are going to pass me by and one day I will wake up and wonder where on earth the time has gone. I'm afraid that I will forget things like the way major says tinkaboo or says come on or cocks his head to the side and gets right up in your face so he is sure that you are listening to him and puckers up his lips when he talks if he is in more of a serious mood. And then there is my sweet little animated Ry Ry her face glows when she is excited about something her big beautiful blue eyes get so wide i love way she analyzes my face and asks me if I'm mad. The way she can and will stay in her bed for hours in the morning and wait for me to wake up. I told her once that she could come and get me when she wakes up and her reply was but I don't want to wake you up mom. She is very thoughtful of others! I love the way they both run to me when I pick them up from nursery! I don't want to forget any of this and quite honestly I wish it could stay this way for a long long time. I've got to be better about writing things down because one day it will only be a memory.

Mothers day

Bryce took the kids to Walmart so they could pick out a Mother's Day present . They both picked out flowers for me and a balloon I love that and I thought it was cute that they were working together to pick out something for me. Bryce bought me more storage for my phone since I am constantly filling it up with pictures and videos. The guys also pitched in and made as special dinner for us. You guys nailed I could not be more lucky to have such an amazing family!

Fathers Day

I just barely got done reading the biography Elizabeth Smart. I tend to be really naive and this book was a good wake up call for me. now that Bryce is working nights. It is my duty to protect my family at night starting with not leaving the windows open or giving money to strangers. I thought that I could use a little work on gun control so for fathers day I was inspired to take Bryce out to a gun range and right by that gun range is a little Venezuelan restaurant that I thought would be fun . So I dropped the kids off at my moms house and Bryce and I went on a little date . Venezuelan food is pretty much amazing! well at least what Bryce helped me order. I was kind of thinking it would be fun to try out some machine guns while we were at the range but they didn't have any and Bryce said it would be too expensive. So we just shot around with his 9mm to just backtrack a little bit a few weeks ago Bryce asked me to buy some bullets for his gun you wanted home protection rounds or hollow tips if you will I was a little nervous about getting some because I know nothing about guns and I thought they were going to ask me a lot of questions but I did it now and get suspicious well that came true Bryce had rehearsed some of the questions they would answer for me and I repeat of those answers just how we had practiced however brace failed to mention I know what the name of his gun was and so when the clerk asked me what kind of gun I had I told him I had a nine millimeter gun he said I know that but what kind of gun do you have I got really nervous and told him but I didn't know and he looked at me in shock and said you don't know?!? Well then you probably shouldn't get the hollow tips I went back to the car where Bryce was waiting for me feeling defeated and embarrassed I couldn't help but think of the movie failure to launch when the girl is trying to buy a gun to kill a bird. Anyways back to the shooting range Bryce and I practiced a few close up shots actually Bryce nailed it he got a bulls eye! I on the other hand did a little better from farther distance I'm pretty sure it was all luck but Bryce and I decided that if anyone were to come in our home he would be the one to shoot them up close but if they were running away when I I would be the one to shoot him ;) I had a lot of fine with Bryce on our date I hope he had as much fun as I did and I was happy and that I got a little bit more comfortable with our gun... I even know the name of our gun now . It's a Ruger. Bryce worked night before Father's Day and so he decided to stay up all day. We went to church with Grandma and Grandpa at the good old West Jordan sixth Ward it was fun to see everyone but first counselor in the Relief Society room was new and we had a lot of old timers back in the ward that Sunday, which she didn't know any of them we on the other hand ask knew each other so I had to joke around with her a little bit and told her that she was the one who needed to introduce herself to us! Ryan had picked out a memory game to play with her dad since he claims that she got her good memory from him. And major got brian some water guns and silly string we thought it would be fun to ambush him and good old bryce style however ryan blue our secret and let Bryce in on our little surprise I told her she couldn't tell him what we got for him but she was so excited that it was fathers day and that he could open up his guns that she couldn't hold it in any longer. I wish I could remember what she said exactly because it was actually really cute how excited and innocent she was even though it was kind of a mischievous things that we were going to do to him . So Bryce kept his distance from us all day but he finally let us have our fun when it was time to go we had TJ and Landon with us as well and they made the ambush that much more fun Ryan loved shooting dad with the silly string I don't know about Bryce but the rest of us had a pretty good time.

Ryann's 3rd Birthday

Since I made Ryann that tinkerbell costume for Halloween I thought that she needed another reason to wear it rather than just for dress ups, so I made her a tinkerbell birthday! It wasn't hard convincing her of it either which I was glad about. I spent months preparing for her tinkerbell party I know it is kind of silly and I definitely went a little overboard, but it was fun for me and for Ryann so it was worth every minute. Although I was glad when it was over! Even Megan my sister in-law said that I have way too much time on my hands. Haha I guess she might be right, but since my kids are my life and everything I do is for them then I guess I don't feel too bad about it. I mean what else would I be doing with my time rather than making sure I give my children the best that I can possibly give them! We set up Ryann's birthday party the day before at Grandma's house since Bryce had just switched to working graveyard shifts I knew that he wouldn't be much help getting things ready (but he was a huge help at the party) but there was a ton of stuff to do and I am not one to do things the last minute. Since we decorated Ryann thought her party was that day. I kept trying to tell her that it was the next day, but she wasn't buying it, so finally I just said, yes do you love it? are you having so much fun? she said she was so I told her that we couldn't do it again tomorrow and invite all her friends to come play at grandma's house too. I was planning on making her cake, but Ryann really wanted to put the candles on it and the flowers so I let her. She did a pretty good job too. I only wish the cake tasted a little better I tried making it from scratch, but I kind of burnt it...oops! we had a few other party fouls, but Bryce made up for them. and made the party so much fun. I think we make a great team him and I. I plan and decorate and he puts on the show! we had rose ham and cheese pinwheels, mushroom radishes and flower cucumber salad, butterfly and ladybug pasta salad, chips, a beautiful fruit salad that my mom made, and pink and green punch. I hand made everything, and I tried to make it glow for our glow in the dark game, but things didn't really work out that way. although improvised and made it fun anyways. We had pixies and pirates wtih glow wands, and glow balloons. I was trying for a few different themes. One being "It's all about the glow", "small is the new big" I made a giant 3, and giant butterflies, and gave the kids giant pixie sticks, and then of coarse there was the pink and green "Tinkerbell" theme. Ryann and the kids loved dressing up and playing in the glow in the dark stuff. it was fun seeing them play especially Major he was the cutest pirate I have ever seen!!! Uncle Tony dressed him up in one of Ryann's jammies that she got just to be funny. Major looked humiliated at first but then when I tried to put it on Ryann he threw a fit! On Ryann's actual birthday Bryce and I decorated her crib with balloons all around it so when she woke up she would know it was her birthday! I was worried she would wake up in the middle of the night, and she did, but she didn't seem to notice the balloons until she woke up that morning. She was more confused then excited and said where did all these balloons come from? and then she wanted them off of her crib! She then opened her presents from mom and dad and brother. She got a new bike!! She needed lots of help riding it and wore mom and dad out quick, but I hope by summer she will be able to do it all by herself! then to celebrate the day we took her and Major to classic skating. She loved the bouncy slides and was so brave to do everything!! I loved seeing her be so big, and brave, and fun. she even jumped off the 10ft drop into the foam pit. She is turing out to be one amazing 3 year old already!! Major liked everything as well but he needed a little extra attention and Bryce my amazingly fun and almost 30 year old husband made it so much fun for the kids. we all worked up quite the thirst afterward! when we got home Major was zonked, but Brycelynn was home from school and Jaycee was up from her nap and Bryce took them and 2 of the neighbor girls to the park to play some more. Where he got all the kids on the playground (and there were a lot!) to play in a game of tag. All the kids loved it and all the moms were very impressed! I was pretty proud myself, but too warn out to join in on the fun! I then made dinner broccoli for Ryann since it is her fav. and then we had cake and ice cream. Bryce even missed school to celebrate his daughters 3rd birthday. The whole thing was so much fun, but I did get a little emotional at one point. Ryann is so sweet, and funny, and smart, and cute. It is hard to see her grow up even though I know we will have more kids I will never get myself another Ryann, and I want to savor every moment that I can of her growing up! It all just goes by way to fast!!

Lists

I love making lists actually I'm kind of a freak about it. But it's never good enough to just make a list but then I have to color code it and in ROYGBIV order This trait I'm sure will be passed down to Ryann. Because I inherited it from my mother at least the ROYGBIV part. Today I was making a cleaning list and ryann wanted to make a list too, so I started singing "we are making a list" and Ryann chimes in "so don't get pissed" bahahaha. I have to admit that I was quite impressed with her rhyming ability although I might have to stop saying the "P" word!!!
PS bursting into song about something I am doing also a trait that I get from my mother!
