Sibling Rivalry

The other night I was rocking Ryann before I put her to bed and she was extremely restless (more than usual) She kept climbing all over me and finally she just plopped her head right on my stomach. It hurt and Major must have felt it too because he punched her back, so I said all right that is it we are all going to bed!!!

16 Months

  • Ryann loves to put lotion on. She even rubs her hands together and says wash wash
  • Ryann has got a little bit of an attitude. I am not a huge fan when kids tell me no, so I have tried not to tell Ryann no. Instead I will try to say something like Stay out of the puppy food, but most of the time it comes out, Hey! Stay out of the puppy food, so now wh
en she gets mad she hits and yells "Hey!" I take full responsiblity for her saying Hey, but I have no idea where she learned to hit. It drives me crazy!!
  • Ryann loves to talk on the phone. She has even called a few people on her own. I am not sure how she did it, but there have been a few times where I see that she is playing on the phone and someone is actually talking back to her or my phone will be on the ground talking. Crazy little woman!! I can't believe she is going to be a big sister soon!!!

Lucy you got some spainin to do!

(that's "explaining to do" just in case you aren't familiar with the TV show I love Lucy) It turns out that I am not the only one in our cute little family that is pregnant and due in July A couple of months ago Lucy got it on with a short haired Chihuahua . She was in heat at the time and so now in about 2 weeks we will be having c
hions. I was really wanting to breed her with another papillion because I love the breed, but I think she will have cute puppies anyway. Lucy is seriously the best dog too. The only thing that I didn't love about her was that she is really stuck up with other dogs and has something to prove whenever she is around one, but now with her getting knocked up she is even better!! I took her to the splash park by our house the other day, and she didn't really wander off. She just hungout and let all the kids chase after her. A few times I caught her hanging out in the shade by some strangers. And she spends all day sleeping under Ryann's crib. Which I will need to change because I am not going to let her have puppies under the crib!

a little info on pregnant dogs: unlike humans they are only pregnant for 60-64 days (Lucky Beotches) This is what I think one of her puppies might look like!

Summer Lovin

I have not been loving this summer as much as Ryann has!! She wants to be outside all the time, but it is just way too hot and being pregnant just makes it at least 10 degrees hotter!!

Luckily Margo got Bryce and I some Pass of all passes for Bryce’s birthday this year and we have been taking advantage of it! It is funny though I don’t know if it is just because I am pregnant or if I have just gotten old and turned it into a “mom” (someone who would rather socialize and look after the kids rather than play) However I did take a few tube rides. We even took Ryann on one. Bad Idea!! She loves slides and so we thought she would love it, but it terrified her, and it was probably the biggest and fastest ride there. Bad Bad idea!! It took the whole summer to convince her that playing in the water wasn’t that bad. Poor thing. I also went on a tube ride with Julie and Nicki. Three preggers. It was hilarious! I tried to go one last time with Bryce and Joey, but the worker wouldn’t let me. It felt kind of weird having a boy younger than me tell me that I can’t do something because it would be dangerous. Poor kid he was just trying to do his job, but that didn’t stop me. First I acted like I didn’t know what he was talking about I tried to play the fat card, but with only one month left to go he didn’t really know how to respond, so I took advantage of his silence and got on the tube and went down.

1st day of Nursery

Today was the first day of nursery for both Ryann and I. A couple of weeks ago a member of the bishopric wanted to meet with me. I wondered what on earth they would want me to do. Going to church with Ryann has pretty much made me inactive.  I think in the year that she has been born we have only made it all the way through church 2 or 3 times, but Bryce reminded me that the Lord knows me better than I know myself, and maybe he is trying to give me a hint that I should be making more of an effort to be going to all of church, so before my interview I was in Sunday school and the lesson was about Alma the elder and how him and his people were in bondage. Our Sunday school teacher asked us what keeps us in bondage or distracts us from doing things that we should be doing. Some people said work, others said certain TV shows. I whispered to the lady sitting by me and I said, children! She laughed, but I was so serious. So I decided that I was going to make a big effort to make it through all of church with Ryann even though Bryce wasn't there to help me. I was determined! Of coarse Ryann started getting really fussy just as relief society started, so I took her out to the hall, then to the bathroom, then to the foyer, and finally to the mothers room to change her diaper. We made it all through church although for the last hour all I got out of it was how frustrated I was. I had about 20min before my appointment with the bishopric so I took Ryann home to see if Penney could watch her for me, and Brycelyn did my hair so that I would look beautiful for church and so that everyone would like me as I was driving back over to church all I could think was that of all the callings that I never wanted Nursery was one of them, but right now it was the only one that sounded good to me. And Nursery it was, so today was our first day and we both handled it like champs sure I got a little overwhelmed a few times being prego and trying to handle 12 kids at one time, and Ryann only got needy a few times when the kids wouldn't let her play with them, but for the most part she enjoyed playing with all the kids and doing what they were doing even if she was a few months too young to be in Nursery. We both had fun and time seemed to go by pretty fast, and the best part was we made through all of church without any temper tantrums!!

Dr Appointment update- 28wks

My poor dr. he is kind of damned if you damned if you don't. At my last visit after measuring me he asked me how big Ryann was when I delivered her. I told him that she was 7lb 11.5oz.....but she was a month early. He didn't say anything, and I didn't think to ask why until after I left. I just assumed that if there were something to say then he would say it. I mean if Major was measuring big he would mention it right??? So when I went in for this appointment I made sure to ask the Dr how Major was measuring, and he told him he is 1cm big, the same as last time. I started to freak out a little. I told him that I was feeling huge and that I am so uncomfortable all the time. Major seems to be in my ribs and on my bladder all at the same time. I also informed him that I was an 11lb baby and Bryce was an 8lb baby. He told me that I shouldn't worry, that he would keep note of all of this and at 36 weeks he would do another ultrasound. That seems to be the magic word for doctors. Just say ultrasound and the crazy ladies will stop complaining. I mean 1cm really isn't that big anyways right. Although Ryann always measured small. she would have been 9lbs if she went full term and it took me 3 hours to push her out. Can you imagine how long it will take me to push Major out if he goes full term and is already measuring big!! Oh boy lets just not think about it for a while. No wonder my doctor didn't say anything in the first place!!

Major stop growing so fast!!
