Momma Bear

There are a few things that I am totally anal about when it comes to being a mom, Eating and Sleeping. I am always worried that Ryann isn't eating enough or that she isn't getting enough of the nutrients that her body needs. It is kind of funny really because she doesn't look like she is starving so I don't know why I freak out about it. Maybe it is because when she was a baby I had such a hard time getting her to eat. And then for a while I was wondering if iron was making Ryann's teeth blue, so I cut out all the baby rice cereal and oats from her diet. And when she first started eating baby food all she was eating was bananas and sweet potatoes. She does a lot better now I asked Bryce if he thought she was getting enough protein because she didn't really care for meat, and then he compared Ryann to a moose. I think he has been hanging out with his Vegan doc again??? I also wonder if she is turning orange from all the sweet potatoes. Bryce says that is a myth, and that she just has my olive complexion, but I still think she has an orange complexion.

As for the whole sleeping thing. Whenever Ryann goes down for a nap I turn into a sleeping Nazi. I think Ryann has learned to sleep through noise, but I still freak out!! The other day Bryce was upstairs playing with his nephews, but his type of playing usually sounds more like torturing. He gets kids screaming and laughing and then usually they end up crying. And just as I thought I was going to go upstairs and beat him I hear Lucy barking at the door, but does he get her to stop, no he just yells at her to be quiet. Ryann never woke up, and I ran upstairs to get Lucy to stop barking. I know I just need to take a chill pill, but on the days that Ryann does get woken up I feel like I am going to beat someone!!!

Ry- 10 Months

Ryann must be going through a phase because I swear she eats more than I do!! She is less intrested in baby food and more interested in what I am eating. Bryce picked out a sippie for Ryann, and she loves it. I was starting to get a little worried that I was never going to be able to wean her! She mostly just drinks water. She got another new tooth on her upper left side. She crawls and even learned how to go up the stairs. I am not sure what she likes most about it climbing or seeing who is upstairs to greet her. She will even crawl away from me for a minute until she realizes that she can't see me then she comes right back She is starting to pull herself up, so we had to lower the crip for fear that she might try to crawl out. Ryann likes to sleep with her butt up in the air She loves watching little einstiens. watching it has even made her laugh a few times. She also likes to dance to the "hot Dog Dance"

You can tell I wasn't feeling so hot this month... theren't aren't a ton of pictures!!

Christmas

Bryce had to work on Christmas , but luckily it was a half shift. Christmas was on a Sunday this year so the plan was to go to church with my mom and spend some time with my family and then we would go over and meet Bryce and spend time with his family... That was the plan, although when do things ever go acording to plan. what I didn't expect though was that the truck wouldn't start after waking up early and trying to get everything ready so that I could be on time to church and dealing with Ryan's mini meltdown I had a little bit of a meltdown myself but penney being the kind person that she is let me borrow her car so that we were able to go to my moms however we didn't make it to church. It was fun spending time with my family we are all kind of broke and so our presents weren't very big but they came from the heart my moms cousin who had just overcome cancer and rejected buy her own sisters gave everyone a pair of siscors. It was a simple gift, but I truely felt the magic of Christmas when she gave it to me. It reminded me that christmas isn't about presents, but about the love of Jesus Christ.

Dragon Baby!!!

I made Ryann some peas and potatoes wtih a little garlic spread on them. today for a little snack before we went to Bryce's work Christmas party. She ate them right up they were deeliicous! I didn't even think about what the garlic would do to her, but boy did it do something to her. I couldn't even stand to be near her because her breath stunk so bad!!
I tried everything to get rid of it, but nothing worked. I seriously have never smelled breath like that, and I wondered what my breath smelled like after I ate something garlicly. I think I learned my lesson and we are going to be a garlic free family. PHEW!!!
